This is an ineteresting point, he has have enough of center stage at childhood, probably Tej was pushing him for the heir's role since the very beggining, He being more influencial than Shakti meant that whereever they went, Tej's son was the center of attraction (like today we have the children of celebs), He now prefers a backstage. If you note he is actually a celeb a world fame sculptor, but is not active on social media, he isn't even interested when Rudra comes with such demands
It takes a lot more self restraint to be Omkara than it is to be Shivaay.

Well compairing what is easy and what is difficult is not my cup of tea, but yes, being Omkara is not an easy task
He is actually a bully at times in a sense that he has a very clear view of what is right and wrong and fully expects others to share his vision. If they don't, he pounds on them relentlessly. We see this with the whole saying sorry thing he makes Shivaay and Rudra do. He does not let it go, reminding them to do it at every opportunity. While you can argue that he really is just a very principled character, you can also say that he needs to have so much control over the people that he holds dear that he tries to mould them into a vision of what he wants them to be, not even considering that there may be other perspective in life you can look too other than the one he has.

I hated that sorry bol de and thankyou bol de jaap, at a time even Shivaaye got irritated, but Omkara did not stop, I think after a point it was less about Anika and Saumya and more about himself, he wants his brother to follow a certain set of rules and that they must, there shall be no deviation to that

Tej beroi is the most influential person at home as well as office.shivay is next to him.no one dare to question tej.

Even shivay does not like to go against him.

Only omkara stand to him.he scold,provoke and question him.

Second is svetlana case.all in oberoi house maintained silence over her presence.but it was omkara who insulted her ,questioned her presence and made her to leave not once but twice.even tej did not dare to cross him.

I deliberately did not mention his interactions with Tej in my analysis as that is very personal. Tej loves Omkara to the utmost and knows that Omkara hates him, he is ready to go to any extent to win for his love, and as I have been mentioning repeatedly Omkara too knows about the unconditional love of Tej and uses that love subconsciously or unconsciously to avenge for the miseries that Tej has caused to his mother and him.

Coming to Swetlana, she is the major reason for Om's uneasiness had Tej intervened while Om was insulting her it would have meant a further difference between TejKara, and at this time Tej wants to do whatever he can to get his son close

Shivaaye is not Tej's son and is hence not he does not have that much right and freedom

I think that with Tej, the strength of Om is the fact that he knows that the Tej can not do anything to him

Omkara is such a layered character that its impossible to compartmentalise him- domineering , rigid at times chilled out ,open and yielding at other times. Are'nt we all a bundle of contradictions sometimes?

The past has made him what Om is now .. One can very well imagine what the descent into darkness, loss of control over ones own life did to his own confidence and self esteem.He had let Shivaay down, possibly fallen in his own eyes

For all his so called domineering nature he has given Shivaay his space. Om has been very vocal about how he disapproves of the real reasons for his brothers relations with Tia. But he has never bullied his brother into calling off his marriage nor tried to take decisions for Shivaay. Its also interesting that he never opposes Shivaay when others are around. When he tried to intervene on behalf of Anika during the intruder drama Shivaay's firm '' No, not now Om " shuts him up.

Yesterdays emotional reaction to Riddhima's lie is very understandable. He is one the biggest victims of his parents' relationship which is again a big lie. In spite of this he is in a stable relationship with a girl for 2 years and when his minimum demand or truth and transparency is not met one can understand his anger and uneasiness . He is too emotionally involved to think calmly. Most of us have something that can make us loose a sense of perspective and for Om this is what it is.

Tej-Om - Standing up to Tej is not such a difficult job now. After all he is no more the scared , helpless boy craving for his fathers love, understanding and attention .Om is a self made man who can live life according to his own terms. Tej needs him more today than the other way round.

I hope the cv's handle this precious gem of a character that they have created with lot off love and care.

Om has the genes of Tej in him, I now feel that probably the reason Tej loves Omkara to a much greater extent than he does Rudra is that he sees a younger himself in Omkara, I agree that Shivaaye is too close to Tej, but that is only external resemblance, internally, even Om is replica to Tej, like Tej he does not need words to express his anger, like Tej he is not impulsive but very calculative, the only difference between TejKara is that Tej doesn't think of his heart while m always listens to his heart
