There are two ways to living life..right and wrong ,world faith teaches us so, societies too expect us to realize these two differing codes of practice. But after watching today's episode I pondered on the phrase , moral ground. What it feels like in life when one has to perhaps be on high moral ground, selflessly , for the sake of love greatest virtue? To be seen on such high moral ground is no easy task as one is likely to expose oneself before others. For the sake of being right one has to show humility , set aside , ego and pride , and with contrition even tender an apology , so that a good moral standard is set before others that in turn inspires them to evaluate their own lives. Viplav I see as person with clear standards of what he deems to be right and wrong. He holds his family in high esteem, is highly devoted to them and trusts them utterly with a doubt! But in a weak moment doubt is planted in him by a foe. The doubt spreads like brambles in his mind till he begins to doubt his own sanity. Yet it's his moral ground that encourages him to seek forgiveness from the people he loves. For his moral ground, he tells all the workings of his troubled mind , and he ends up being the sinner himself. But to him that is the right path to take.. from me he gets empathy..
Two wrongs have a tug of war between them as to who strums the other weakness to survive..Tripurari's second time release from prison on account of serious crimes, eggs him on with new found gusto to torture whichever Tirpathi comes within his range. For the minute it's the big gun himself following the call received from his phone to Tripurari's phone. Tripurari had found it, how could be in two places at a time.?But Dashrant too is this useless guttersnipe's father and thus does not wish to stay longer than is necessary with tripurri. But then how can Tripurari let go off the chance to poke about with the head of the Tirpathi clan. Like a wily fox he , worries Dashrant , does he think the phone call came from Viplav..? What if he has clocked on to our relationship? maybe it's gods will too that his truth comes out before the whole world.. Tripurari delights in seeing his father being cornered by him. Dashrant pushed back against the wall , by his constant demands of rewards if not recognition . Surely it's a small favour for keeping his mouth shut. But dashrant then attempts to hold this bull the horns and warns him , last time he acted up! Durga vanished , and this time too it can be easily repeated. But tirupurari warns him , times have changed , if his mother is harmed ,then he will cause such quakes that will shake the whole Tirpathi clan.. But dashrant walks off in a huff. while tripurari derides his father to no end..
End of the line for two friends they are from different camps.. camp Viplav and camp tirpurari.. Dhani with firm conviction accuses Suvarna of stealing the CD, that held tirpurari's confession that Dhani relates, she heard with her ears. But Suvarna too protests her husband is innocent , reformed and gets blamed for every case that Viplav loses.. Both have it out with each other about betrayal in friendship. But both Suvarna and Dhani stand their own ground and end their friendship .The fall out is about who stands for the truth and who backs make belief..
The CD that holds the confession of the devils deed! it holds immense power .Where on one hand it holds a crucial truth and has the power to deliver justice where it's due.. on the other hand it also empowers the wicked into wielding their power. Fear of being caught, resides in tripurari too and it's this weakness Kanak plans to hold on to as a pay back to him for taping her conversation , where she orders the murder of Dashrant Tirpathi . She is fed up of his every so often, threatening phone calls, so she blatantly lies and tells him she's destroyed it!.. but not really ,which is no surprise.. as she uses it, when she finds out Tripurari ,the cheat that he is , is going to spill the beans and implicates her. So clever clogs manipulative Kanak keeps contingency covers for herself against imminent attack to her good name!... mother! is the main name in role that she wants to protective from being tarnished .. not much of being a wife is left to salvage. A needy son comes to his mother troubled .. but instead turns into a man, who protects a grieving widow, his mother!.. in a flap she drops the CD on the rug ,then covers it by throwing her sari on it.. what is my mother covering underneath the sari ,was it an accident or did she drop it? to cover something she wishes, I don't see? muses Viplav into her baffled face..are you ok? she says, fine why and he replies ,studying her face, because you look anxious.. but Kanak instead fobs him off and fusses around her son, asks him has he eaten?.. he offers to pick up her sari but she clearly is hiding something from him.. Viplav , in a bit of a daze ,does what his mother says .. eat.. swiftly She hides the CD in a small casket and slides it under the bed.. here then is yet another scene of dramatic irony that we see, where the audience know a lot more than Viplav
Survara now becomes the kind of wife Tripurari wants.. one who is totally brain washed by her fake righteous, misinterpreted husband. she tells both durga and Tripurari , Dhani and her have fallen out because she accused her of stealing the CD from the Ashram.. if Dhani can stand by viplav on all account just to prove he is right , then she will stand by her husband to prove he is right! Tripurari delights he has at last moulded Suvarna exactly the he wants her to be a dumb wife..
Hounded by an alien spirit Viplav barges into his parents room.. ahh.. there still stands babaa's bed. but not him.. I had to come in here. I know, I sneak in, weak and tired.. rest now my smarting body on your father's bed side. why do I hear that scoundrel's voice , I was but a pawn in Shambu's death .. the real plan is some one else , an insider from Guru dev's household.. why is this happening to me? my spirit groans, why is my mind going around in circles? why was mother hiding something from me? she was .. I can sense it ? what is it? ooohh this is so confusing . it's driving me around the bend!.. a casket under mother's bed? shall I look? but what am I looking for??..dear god help me! go get it Viplav... set yourself free . Viplav pulls the casket from under the bed,places it on the bedside table , looks back at the door.. I feel like a thief! looking for what? I know not myself? hurriedly he rummages through it.. Viplav!.. he turns around, caught in the act! and stands to block the open casket.. heavens! what is she thinking? my mind boggles.. Kanak walks towads him open mouthed.. has he found the CD??? Have you lost something? what are you looking for? he hears her cry.. he goes silent just stares at her, I don't know what I am doing myself? how do I answer her?he cries inside and turns his face away from her in shame.. erhh forgive me mother! my mind is not functioning properly.. and he turns from her face and looks down at the box.. puts some photos back in it and troubled, mumbles forgive me and hurries away out of her room..
Kanak decides she has to turn on her theatrics , as he may have seen that the CD was in there. Kanak runs after him Viplav! Viplav! loud enough to gather the family into the court yard which turns into a court room where Viplav ends up as the offender ! amid a judge and jury of familial loved ones whom he has wronged.. the judge of the family speaks out with benign looks and dadi took looks Viplav's way ,his mother he can see is distraught, his baby sister shalu too stands looking at him confused..viplav eyes well up under mental pressure. There's a lump in his throat as he tearfully looks at each of his beloved family member , their faces all show deep love for him .. and him? he is going mad. His head is full of confusion and doubt about these beloved people. he needs to be punished for doubting every single one of them.. your remorse Viplav is ,that you confess your sin! yes you have sinned against your family by doubting them! now confess your sin before them and they decide if you will be granted forgiveness or meted out some form of punishment! Decides Viplav and he begins his confession..
I don't know since a few days I feel odd, a lot of wrong things have been happening to me , and I fear I have made a huge mistake.. Kanak looks tense and prepares to defend her self!.. ooh this is so hard how can I tell them what I have done? they will be so hurt? they will hate me! Viplav wrestles within himself .. gather your self Viplav! and say it as it is! for these are no outsiders they are family! struggles Viplav and then finally with a dry mouth he confesses, since a few days I have been obsessed by somethings that Tripurari has said..I try hard to get them out ofmy mind but cnt do it! like today dadaji I saw your phone and doubt crept in to my mind ,Viplav admits his own sin.. Kanak panics and thinks shed better act fast!before he says anything incriminating towards her, he carries on.. truthfully and that box in mother's room, I thought mother too is hiding something from me.. both dashrant and Kanak wait for Viplav to convict them of foul play. but viplav instead , remorsefully begs to be forgiven.. how could I doubt you?? viplav cries , please forgive me.. but Kanak out of guilt gets on the band wagon and gives Viplav the guilt trip instead and screams ..to test the waters ,his reaction, she winds him up.. just look at yourself Viplav !how much you have changed in that Dhani's love!!, you doubt your own family! it's her language you are adopting! you think , me , his dada ji are involved in the murder of his father! he suspects his dadi? how can she kill her own son! and he suspects his younger sister could do such a thing! kill her own father? speak up Viplav! that I can kill my own husband?she cries crocodile tears to shift all the impending doom that will descend upon her one day.. upon poor Viplav who is already under such duress . Viplav cries and confesses, that he is going mad, and he is asking for forgiveness.. Dadi tells him tenderly , that on this one she agrees with his mother.. she may say what ever ,but she and your dadaji cannot even think of doing such a thing to your pappaji.. you believe that Tripurari who is already convicted of killing your father!who are you believing my child? what's happened to you? cries dadi, Both dashrant and Kanak are pleased because Viplav listens to his dadi.. but Viplav still honors his mother before all, mother is right , I shouldn't have doubted my own family ,made a big mistake.. Dashrant has to be seen as the good cop too so he embraces viplav as a mark of forgiveness and lauds his effort to share his anxieties with his family. so in other words dashrant mops up the mess created by Kanak and Tripurari for the time being. so basically Viplav leaves .. but with a new feeling of guilt that Kanak piles on him..This is a key scene of dramatic irony ,where Viplav, dadi,shalu know nothing about how things are really but we in the audience know and as such loathe the disguised ,deceitful family members and build tremendous empathy for viplav as the protagonist..
Cooling off with the one who belongs to you..viplav waits to receive counseling from Dhani.. but he first begins by saying he's been horrid to her recently and he suddenly like a demented man takes her hand and makes her slap him and cries , here hit me ,punish me!. Then he confess before her ,that he made a huge mistake by doubting his family.. and by telling them about Tripurari.. helplessly he admits he's going mad !only a mad person would thing along the lines of suspecting his own next to kin. Dhani empowers him..can't you see it's Tripurari. He playing with your mind , he wants to control his mind.. don't let him win .. that's what he wants that you should break down! you just discipline yourself and all will be well.. Viplav is still morose and wants space to himself , but Dhani drags him , no he's to come with her to celebrate something at ... the Ashram.. and Viplav allows himself to be led away by the woman he loves..
Kanak goes back to her room and turns the casket box upside on her bed . The CD is not there! Dashrant comes into her room waving the CD in his hand , and comments , had she shown forsight of keeping this in a safe place ,he wouldn't have got access to her and she wants it back.. Kanak's fingers are between the lidof the casket and dashrant cruelly puts pressure on the lid so that it cuts into her knuckles . Dashrant warns her, quit separating vilav and Dhani otherwise , she can recall what happened at the bell temple.. it can happen again..any harm she does to Dhani , it will befall on Viplav! so she needs to get off their case! as for the CD it's with him now..to ensure that she and Tripurari stay within their limits, especially her!she'dbetter think twice before she does anything!.. sneers Dashrant Tirpathi..
Fine episode . I loved it. It was viplav all the way, weak all the way ,but STRONG on moral grounds.. amid all the liars ,cheats, and tricksters , he with his simplicity ,his truthfulness stands firm like a beacon of light.. mishaal ..a torch.. that shows the way to the blind with eyes! every bit of him I warmed too.. we relate to his mistakes.. he reminded me of someone I LOVE.. yes Mishal ~ Viplav you had universal appeal today.. you were real, human.. hamlet53 31.1.16
