Bhu, I love your version of the Parijatha Haranam story. 👏

I have a similar theory, with just a slight difference.

It is said that Satyabhama was blessed with eternal youth and beauty, and while Rukmini was equally beautiful, she did not have that same boon, and thus according to the laws of humanity, she would age with time. Since Shri and Bhu are the same, Rukmini too had to receive that boon and thus, Lord Krishna gave her the parijatha flower.

It's the same theory of Shri-Bhu equality as yours, but in a slightly different way.

That is also perfect. that also happened. I just didn't include it in the story.
He gave her the flower after He installed it in Satyabhama's garden.
We are always for equality Shri 🤗

Didn't Rukmini receive the flower first from Krishna, via Lord Indra? And then Satyabhama got angry at Indra's insult, Krishna battled Indra and planted the tree in Satyabhama's garden, and after that the rest of the bharya too received the flower, so they were all blessed with eternal youth and beauty.

She did. Sorry. I kind of contradicted myself there 🤪
people make a huge scene and say that the tree bloomed only when Shri krishna was with Rukmini to taunt Bhama, but that is nonsense, in my POV. They are sisters for a reason. there is no way all that petty jealousy happened

In all the incidents revolving around the three of them, there has been a teaching for the world.
Take the Parijata- it teaches us that Shri and Bhu are the same, to disrespect one id to disrespect the other

Really? I never heard that version. 😕

As a child, I grew up learning that Satyabhama was the "jealous wife" until the tulabharam incident, but after that she became "mellow" because her pride had been broken.

It didn't make sense to me, even as a child. On the one hand, people told me Satyabhama was Bhudevi, but on the other hand, why would Bhudevi be petty and jealous? It doesn't make sense.

It wasn't until I grew up that my perception about her changed.

I discussed this with Lola in the past, and we both feel that the tulabharam incident is similar to Radha garva bhangam, where she appears to be jealous of the other Gopis and Krishna breaks her pride.

Both these incidents portray Radha and Satyabhama as having momentary pride in their position in the Lord's life, but I think true devotees understand that it's not actual pride that these two ladies exhibit. It's all an act, to teach the world that pride has no place in love. They pretended to be proud of their status, their wealth, so that the world learns what's truly important in life, but that did not mean they themselves were proud.

Pride is a human emotion, and even though they took human incarnations, they were not slaves to petty human emotions.

Like Srutha said, Rukmini, Krishna, Satyabhama and even Narada all played their respective parts in the Lord's leela, which was to teach the world that pride brings about man's downfall. No one was lesser or greater as a result of it.

Well said Janu 👏👏
Another episode I would like to highlight. Vana Parva, Satyabhama-Draupadi Samvada. I don't believe Bhama was asking Panchali to teach her sthree Dharma. Bhudevi asking would seem weird. She asked her to show the world that when a woman, who is pure, and who can love all five husbands equally, is able to follow all the rules of sthree Dharma, then a woman with one husband can easily follow it. Dharaa-Madhav played a game there, choosing Panchali to be the mouth piece to teach women all over what it is to be a Dharmapatni.

Was Padmavathi specifically a form of Bhudevi, or was she simply another form of Mahalakshmi (including Shri-Bhu together)?

Because Skanda Purana says that when Mahalakshmi took birth as Vedavathi, and she immolated herself after cursing Ravan, she took rebirth as Chhaya Sita and was kidnapped in place of the real Sita, and during the Agni pariksha when both Sitas were exchanged again, the real Sita asked Ram to marry chhaya Sita, as she had sacrificed herself by being Ravan's prisoner for him. Ram told her he was eka patnivrat in that lifetime, so he would marry cchaya Sita in a future incarnation.

It is said Chhaya Sita was reborn as Padmavathi and was married to the Lord as Balaji.

The story of Vedavathi doesn't specifically say she was Bhudevi. It just says she was an ansh of Mahalakshmi, so that means Padmavathi had to include Shri-Bhu both, just like the real Sita had to include Shri-Bhu both.

Exactly

It's the same explanation for why, in so many puranas, Devi Parvathi is shown asking Lord Shiva about Narayan's leelas. Wouldn't Adhishakti herself know everything, just as Lord Shiva did? 😆 The reason she pretends to have so many doubts is that through his explanation, Lord Shiva can teach the world what it needs to know.
