Curiously, devarshi narada has a role, adding his pinch of mischief to most of Indra's follies. 😆

PARIJATHA HARANAM

There are various versions to this, but I am telling you what I believe to be the truthful version.

Dev Indra once came to Dwaraka, with a Parijata flower and offered it to Rukmini (Shridevi). Rukmini fell in love with the flower, and thanked him for it. Satyabhama (Bhudevi) got angry. Not because she wanted the flower, but because of Indra's arrogance. In his quest to please Shri Krishna's first queen, he had forgotten the existence of Bhudevi. Rukmini knew what Indra was doing was wrong, but she did nothing, for each of them have a role to play, and this part is more Bhama. But Dev Indra forgot, that when Bhu is not respected, Shri will never bless anyone, and the other way around. Indra Dev shows the typical folly of humans, who obsess over money and forget the Earth.

After this Narakasura Vadh happened. SatyabhaMadhava went to Deva Loka, to return the earrings of Dev Mata Aditi. There, in the gardens, Satyabhama saw the beautiful Parijata tree. She heard that Indrani's favourite tree was that. However, Satyabhama did not like the fact that Indrani did not come to visit her guests, who were equal to God. At that point, Satyabhama appealed to Shri Krishna, telling Him, "Swami, this tree came from the Ksheer Sagar, which is your abode. As it came for the welfare of the world, is it fair that only Deva Loka and Indrani enjoy the tree? Let us take it to Dwaraka. Plant it in my garden, and I will give flowers to all those who want it from all over Aryavrat"

Thus, Shri Krishna battled Dev Indra, who realizing his folly, and begged pardon. Thus, the Parijata tree was planted in Satyabhama's garden.

Can any of you guess why Shri Krishna did what Bhama asked Him to?

Love. Satyabhama's love and devotion to the Lord is what made Him please her. As He Himself says, "Love is where I am gladly and easily defeated"
He multiplies the love you give Him with unconditional love for you. I find it sad that people of this Yuga don't see it

As the Lord Himself has said, He can only be conquered by love. So yes, it makes a lot of sense.

The Parijata Haran is at times shown as a Rukmini above Satyabhama story, when in fact, it was a story which symbolises that Shri and Bhu are the same
