Vrish,

Since your above answer is most certainly correct, why don't you go ahead and ask the next question?

My question was not google proof guys. You just needed to type "Yada yada hi dharmasya Ramcharitmanas". If you want first result and not 7th or 8th result on the page, then you just need to add the words "Jab jab" to the above search word which is nothing but the pure Hindi-Avadhi translation of Yada yada which could also be tried.

My question:

According to Shiva Puranas, what is the name of the avatar which Shiva took to quell Narasimha's anger?

But didn't you even find the answer after I giving the hint of Google search words???

😃 Yes itne din ho gaye. Actually I was not able to even open my laptop these many days due to my busy schedule. Internet to bahut dur ki baat thi.

Okk. The answer is here:

Choupai 3rd - 2nd half in the beginning of the page after Doha 120 GH Balkand. And then Choupai 4th - 2nd half again. 2nd line i.e.

Jab Jab hoi dharam ki haani, badhai asur adham abhimaani;
Tab tab Prabhu dhari vividh sarira, harahi krupanidhi sajjan peera.

Yada yada hi dharmasya glanirbhavati Bharat,
Abhyuthaanam adharmasya, tadaatmaanam srujaamyaham;
Paritraanaay saadhunaam, vinaashaaya cha dushkrutaam,
Dharma sansthaapanaarthay, sambhavaami yuge yuge.

In fact that entire page is lovely. 'Avataar ke hetu'. It gives self justification to those who say RCM is not authentic. Explanation is given within RCM how Ramayan took place many times in different kalpas slightly differently and thus it authenticates simultaneously itself and VR even at places where they contradict. And also see 3rd Choupai after 186 Doha in 'Bhagwan ka vardaan' page in Balkand. That mentions all the four brothers RLBS to be Vishnu's incarnations like VR.

You could have found this answer as I said, with my mentioned search words on Google.

Ok.

Now another such question. What is the parallel verse or verses sequence in Bhagwad Geeta (along with its Adhyay and number with complete text) of the Choupai 3rd (2nd line) and 4th (1st line) after Doha 21 Balkand? This time it's the other way round. So Geeta readers should be able to answer. So it's easy guys even without google. Just find the above mentioned choupai in the above RCM source.

And answer to Varaali's question is Sharabh avataar.

Shivang's answer to my question is correct.

While Srimad Bhagavatham and other Vishnu oriented texts, have Prahalad as the one who calmed Narasimha's fury, other texts favouring Shiva have him assume the form of a Sharabh- a ferocious eight limbed part- human- part lion and part bird creature whose appearance quelled Narasimha's anger. In one of the texts it is given that Narayana approached SHiva, before assuming the avatar of Narasimha seeking his intervention should his fury get out of hand. Accordingly Shiva obliged by taking the form of Sharabh. Hence Shiva is also known as Sharabheshwar

The Devi dominated texts go a step further and claim that on seeing Sharabha, Narasimha created a two headed Garuda- like bird, which scared even Sharabha. Then Shiva mentally sought the Devi's help to appease Narasimha and she appeared in the form of Pratyankara Devi- a female version of Narasimha . Pratyankara Devi swallowed the bird in a trice and displayed such rage that Narasimha automatically calmed down.
