Aww, you didn't do anything wrong, hun, don't worry.🤗 Like Lola said, just discussing how each show showed a particular scene differently would not be wrong, because there's no chance someone can get offended by that....just if people start comparing actors and/or saying one show/actor is better than the other, that's when the problems begin.😆
We still can bring other shows into this thread...but just to discuss how they showed a particular scene differently. Let's just restrict it to that and not call one Krishna/scene better than the other or whatnot, you know what I mean.😳

Lols, you know I would never have gone one a full bashing mode, I know better than that.😆 But as we have both SDB and Nitish fans here, it makes no sense comparing both since both did put their heart and soul into the role.
Glad I didn't offend you though, hope the same can be said for everyone else.😳

@Lola di, I know Lol! "Kitne Aadmi The" hehehe! Yes, the asuras were probably for comedic relief.

Hey all, thanks so much for the warm welcome! 🤗

I'm having a totally DIVINE time watching the series and writing my comments here gets me more involved and excited to watch it! Thanks for this place Janu! **muah**

Epi 48 starts with Kans and his 'mitr' (was it Banasur?) I like how they address each other as 'mitr', it's funny in a sarcastic way because to me a true friend is supposed to always lead you on the path of goodness only or at least try their very best to do so.

They're eating fruits but poor not Kans enjoying any of it because of his insecurities. I think that was a nice scene to include and a funny one to watch for me. Kans looks so excited when Banasur tells him of his undefeatable weapon! I was like "what a desperate fool!". Then Trinavarta is summoned …

😳 Let me just take a moment to say I laud Sagarji and his team for all the painstaking work they must have put in to do all those special effects and making them seem as realistic as possible without being too cheesy! That too in a time when there wasn't even all the technology available that is easily found nowadays.

The scene showing all the Gopis doing their daily chores and the background music were both serene!

The following sequences where Krishna kills Trinavarta, lands softly on the flowers and how happy everyone is to find him are nicely executed. The part where Janu mentioned about Yashoda Maiyya screaming and crying for him are not there in this vid...must have been edited out. 😕

Kans' 'mitr' (it is indeed Banasur) gives him very good advice. Again I notice how Kans is surrounded by intelligent people...all of whom are leading him slowly on the path to his end!

The beginning of epi 49 is very sweet with Devaki Ma thinking about Krishna, Vasudevji shushing her anxiously and Devaki Ma chanting Krishna's name. Then comes the lullaby "So Jaa Lalla So Jaa".This is the first time I'm hearing this song and it has become an instant favorite! How could it not? The lyrics perfectly showcase a mother's love and the melody is soft and calm, perfect for a lulaby. I love how Devaki Ma terms her Mamta as 'baawri' and infant Krishna's expressions are too precious! 😍 The small convo in between with Vasudevji is cute! I also liked the how the guards are shown looking at Devaki Mata, they were like "bechari'. Like Janu says, it shows that they too had sympathy for her but were helpless bcos of Kans. The entire sequence was very heart warming and touching. The small RadheKrishna convo in Golok is insightful and tells us in simple terms the value of Bhakti. For me, without Bhakti life would no be worth living at all!

Then comes the scene of Shivji on Kailash. 'Shriman Narayan' that Narad chants is very mellifluent! It's as if those simple words are laced with honey, and makes me just want to join him in roaming the skies and chanting away! 😳 This Shivji is my second all time favorite as compared to other mytho shows (Om Namah Shivay's SJS being my first). There's something so subtly soft and sweet about the way the character is played by the actor (sorry don't know his name). The discussion about Shivji and Shri Krishna being each other's devotees and each other's Lord at the same time is one I'm saving for another thread. It's a beautiful leela that fascinates me! 😃

Shivji going to Gokul is the end of this epi with the 'Ek Jogi Aayo Ri' song. Suresh Wadekar's voice is very surila in itself. I like how Shivji very cleverly evades going to Kaaki's house by telling the rule. 😆

Wow I wrote a lot! 😳 Sorry if I bored anyone!

Oh WOW, LOVED reading your entry, Vedo, I'm soooooo glad you joined us on our journey! It's going to be a blast recollecting all the old epis through your entries again, you'll catch up to me real soon.😃 The Trinavart episode really was amazingly done. For the technology available back then, the Sagar team really worked hard to show all those effects.👏 Aww, I'm sorry your episode missed Yashoda Maiyya's reaction, it was so natural and well done on Damini's part, you would have thought the same. Wasn't the baby who played Krishna adorable? His smiles seemed soooooo perfect for the character of Krishna, wonder where they found him.😍
And I LOVED how you analyzed the Kans and Banasur scene, and the way you said it was irony how they called each other 'mitr' when they did not even know what it truly meant. Very very very well put.👏👏 You're right, the Soja Lalla Soja song is a big favorite among us SK lovers, the lyrics are so emotional, sweet, and simple, and the tune, along with Devaki's expressions, really make us tear up big time.😭
You'll LOVE the next scene, where Shivji goes to Gokul to get Krishna's blessings, can't wait to read your thoughts on that.

Vedo, Vedo, Vedo... what can I say... Fist off thank you so much for another thoroughly enlightening and enjoyable entry 👏 You wrote about my much beloved Soja Lalla episode so not enjoying was out of the question 😆 but the very meaningful observations you added in made it exponentially more fun - this is exactly what we should be getting out of the mythos we love to watch, these lessons that you get even in the subtlest way like the irony in the use of the word "mitr" you pointed out 👏👏👏👏👏👏 I have been watching theses early epis of the show repeatedly since as far back as I can remember, and I can honestly say that I have never thought about that word in this scene as you explained ever before. I got that message from the Jarasandh-Banasur talk that Aishu and I mentioned in which Kans's wedding is arranged, the way they're all high-fiving and hugging and cackling like drinking buddies but leading one another to downfall as a true friend would never - but never thought deeply enough to get that out of this scene also, as well as the misuse of smart friends point you made... So huge thanks and bravo, looking forward to many more great insights from you as you watch more ⭐️ Yeah, you set the bar real high 😉

Agree about the special effects and the sweet rural Gokul shots before Trinavart whirls in, the music is really beautiful and folksy 😍 I believe te Yashoda scene is there, only like a minute as she's running behind him... will double check and give you the timing if it is - but one kinda funny thing I noticed about that scene is no matter how far away they are from Trinavart, Yashoda Maiya and Rohini Maa are the only ones who fall to the ground because of him... apparently they are the lightest ladies in Gokul 😆. And soja lalla scene you obviously mirrored my thoughts exactly... All I can add is 😍
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 enough said 😆 Again the points you added about the RadehShyam discussion on the power of love and devotion at the end of it managed to make the scene even more beautiful than it already was 👏

The Shivji/Vishnuji mutual devotion is a brilliant thread idea, am sooooo excited for it already... Woohoo Between Ramayan and SK there is endless material to discuss there!!
And agree about this Shivji (Vijay Kavish), while both of ONS's stars brought out his power and intensity this one showed him as benevolent and sweet... both sides make the personality of Bholenath as we know him, and the softer side is one we rarely see so in both of RS's works Kavish's portrayal of it is a really memorable treat 👏
And finally, agree about Suresh Wadkar's voice 😆

Well, I obviously wasn't bored by the length hence I matched it, really really awesome and fun to read entry Vedo... thankoo sooooooo much for sharing, and can't wait to read more

Dear Members, As Janu has written about not comparing the actors from different shows, and I have already referred to Nitishji (along with SDB) in my post of Page 17, so just thought to ellabote a bit more about my point of view in that post.

Actually when I referred to Nitishji it was NEVER to criticize or find fault in him, I NEVER compared their abitilies as actors. Both of them are Exceptional! And had their own Unique ways! As Janu has also mentioned in her post. They both portrayed Shri Krishna according to the characterization of the partcular serial they acted in. 'SK' and 'MB' both are Special in their own way, and it should be our aim to take the Message (Essence) from both with an open mind. While 'Mahabharat' focused more on Hastinapur and the poilitics, whereas 'Shri Krishna' focused on the whole life and deeds of Shri Krishna. I feel if we do not criticize any actors (and any serials as well), and only try to discuss the exact approach of that creation, there is no harm in referring to the actors in our discussion. My post was to bring forth these point- the Extraordinary Features of both SDB and Nitishji in 'SK' and 'MB'- on the Same Plane, so as to look as them with Equal Importance. I feel, when we Combine both 'SK' and 'MB', only then, we can get a Complete Picture of Aaryavarta at that time. Leaving out 'MB' from our discussion will be like missing out a significant angle to look at Shri Krishna! In 'MB', Shri Krishna is mainly 'Pragnya Purush', and in 'SK' his 'Prem Purush' part is also conveyed along with 'Pragnya Purush' part (using terms from Shivang's posts in Orkut on Shri Krishna). My post was to bring forth the main features in both the creations,(i.e.- as understood by me 😳). I had to go deep into 'MB' and 'SK' in this post to explain my view, hope members won't mind 😳.

As the Lord is 'Antheen', so the different creations try to portray different facets of the Lord in their Creations and the actors play the part accordingly.
Now, as for me, I am a fan of both Nitishji and SDB, Nitishji is in my heart from my childhood days, whereas I feel Bliss while watching SDB on screen.

Here I analysed my approach which I started in my prev post on page 17, but that day I decided not to go any further before getting Janu's response reagarding this.

I feel my point of view comes under the category of 'Healthy Discussion', but still if you feel my post has offended anyone, I am really Sorry for that 😳. Never meant to do that 😳. And Janu/Lola, if you feel that I need to edit my prev post, please tell me. I will be very pleased to do so, as I also don't want to upset any members.

Jai Shri Krishna

@ Vedo - finally finished editing my entry on your entry... enjoy 😆

@ Debi di - very well said di 👏 I for one did not find your post even potentially offensive in any way, so I don't see any need to edit it. You are perfectly correct, when we bring up the variations in content and characterization between multiple shows, we are making the discussion even richer and more meaningful because we get a more complete picture of what is in the texts. The rule we mentioned is meant to prevent baser and more subjective comparisons of actors based on looks, mannerisms, etc. - this can possibly hurt other members and we wouldn't want that. But you didn't do that, so keep doing what you're doing 👍🏼😆

@ Aishu,

Oh Dear, I was there in this thread in the first few pages, but then disappeared in the world of RS-Ramayan 😍 ... Was deeply involved in watching, so could not post here for a long time 😊.

Enjoy coming here and reading the entires, it is just like watching the series again!!😍

@ Vedo ,

Yes Dear, Watching SK is truly a Divine experience!

Janu and Lola has already written about the main points of your Fabulous post ⭐️, in the same way, I too Loved the way you explained about the word- 'Mitr', and about the emotions of Vasudevji and Devaki.

Yes Dear, you missed Yashoda's reaction in the beginning of the 'Trinavart' sc, which is done by RSji in a very convincing way! It looked very natural!

Loved these parts from your post -"For me, without Bhakti life would no be worth living at all! "

And again -"'Shriman Narayan' that Narad chants is very mellifluent! It's as if those simple words are laced with honey, and makes me just want to join him in roaming the skies and chanting away!

Very very touching expressions Dear! It's just Great to read your posts!

Shivji-Shri Krishna mutual Respect is such a Sweet Leela! We just get amazed after realising the true nature of it!

Hey Dear, there is No question of getting bored in any discussion about SK, here we all are more than interested to read about it... That too, in details 😊

@ Lola,

Again quoting some parts of your Wonderful posts- "...pyaar ki baat dhamki ki aawaz mein kehdi" 🤣

And yes, another one- "...no matter how far away they are from Trinavart, Yashoda Maiya and Rohini Maa are the only ones who fall to the ground because of him... apparently they are the lightest ladies in Gokul" 😆

@ Janu,

Hey Dear, don't you worry about replying, I came her after one month 😆 😆, I guess you have enough time... you won't be able to break my record 🤣

@ Lola and Janu

Love you, Love you for your support 🤗 🤗 Don't have any more words to express my emotions 😳.
