I don't agree with her completely....Even Shreya is a SRGMP find...

no what she said was correct.

she said no one finds singer, singer is there. SRGMP give plat form,she has won the SRGMP competition, then what about ohters who won each year.

lataji said shreya has that talent to be there, even if she was not there in SRGMP.

so infact these shows are only stepping stones to success...it's the inner talent which carries one thru...that was always the truth...

Infact Sanjay leela Bhansali noticed Shreya only when she came in SRGMp...why wasn't she noticed before??

Today's Media requires more Visuals to sell...that is why you have more performance oriented shows...During Latajee's time (not that today is not her time) there was no such thing as "Visual Media"...

And regarding These shows bring a sense of false hope in teenagers...Today's "teens" are infact more intelligent ...they use these shows to gain fame, quick recognition & as mere bridges to their goals.....

Lataji is spot on in the interview. 👏 👏 👏 She is absolutely right about reality shows. THere is no two ways that they don't make singers but look for nachaniyas becasue even the judges judging them are mediocre.

and i completely agree with varmap on the whole visual media thing...todays
times are also about stage performances rather than just singing

i dont like her discouraging attitude towards new talent 😕

anyways agree to most of it..these tv shows misguide kids..no offence to fans..but these shows make ppl like qazi, suhit n ankita blv that they can sing!

mmm even though I really respect her i dont quite agree with some of her points.

her line of "where is abhijeet sawant today?"
well , hes doing great with his new album out 👏 hes known and has a good life today rather than before.

there it goes again performance vs singing!Performance is not dancing man!! and people are not being misguided , coming in these shows they know there is going to be only 1 winner..Infact they get that fire to move on , what ive noticed in Indian idol.

she seems very negative. i don't agree with her...someone should've pointed out to her that shreya is a SRGMP find. all these shows do is provide a platform; if the audience choose a talented and deserving winner, he/she gets more exposure and naturally more opportunities crop up for them to make better use of their talent. on the other hand, if the winner is undeserving with minimal talent, he/she is bound to disappear from the scene after a while. it's not exactly the shows' fault that people vote for less than impressive contestants for reasons like looks, ethnicity etc.
