may be b'cose of that matter only lataji also against realty shows,
because they are not giving proper launch to the singers.
and the teenagers who is bathroom singers also can participate in these shows and get famous within 24 hrs.

Shreya Ghoshal is Srgmp find. But Lata ji is right in her own way. Only true talent gets appreciated later. The platform was there but only singers like Shreya could find work.

I agree. Not all from talent hunts get success.....Shreya got because she had the talent. And Shreya was judged by legends of music industry and not by sms votes......public voting was not there in Shreya's time

Well I think she is right about reality shows giving wrong hopes to these youngsters. But I think people can sing the easy notes while performing. I've seen Amey and Karunya do it last year, I don't know about the other shows. But if they had lost sur, Sonu would have been the first to point it out. I think Indian Ido, has given us Abhijeet, Karunya and Amey. A special mention for Karunya and Amey as both are classically trained and perform extremely well while singing. I think Sonu had raised the level last year to playback singers who can perform. Hence, we got Karunya, Amey, Meenal, Antara.

This year we are looking for a pop Idol, so the standard has gone down.

This time we don't have a Sonu Nigam to oppose Anu Malik's performance-singing. Udit and Alisha well! we know. Javed ji hardly says anything. Most of the times he looks uninterested in the show.
