With SMP their change has been quite drastic. Suddenly they started sidelining her too much. Not sure how that kid handled this business game. But I feel pity for her. Earlier she used to have a promo. In show too she got ample ss...camera would sometime pan on her for no reason other than to show her reaction for judge/guest comments on others performance. Now when her time for singing come she gets top rated praise as always. The ajooba and rockstar and india should be proud, she's like Beyonce and jlo. But no promo. Camera don't turn to her. When her time come she gets the footage like 5/7 mins , the scene before an ad is about her. nothing extra. That's why it feels @bold.

There is a reason if all those followers r genuine..

Among all 6 he is the one who regularly posts shorts, pics and videos..also he is social media savvy. If there is a demand for something in comments he posts that. The guy is very friendly and outgoing.. gels with everyone..So fans of all contestants follow him to get updates about their favs..read the comments under his posts..

Agree that he is a source. But why now. For months and months when he was doing the same thing nothing happened. Now it seems that everyone and everyone wants to know more about idol from him!!!

But I have no information that is authentic, so your explanation could well be a reason.

I came to know about this vlog pretty late..then saw all posts..so maybe people r coming to know about it now..

show is close to finale..all the hype of 12 hr finale has made public curious..even those who aren't avid watchers. His vlog pops up during random searches also. And this may lead people to his insta.

Yeah. Iam not well versed with entertainment industry but because of following II for some time and info on google this is what I think- Indianidol is not for playback singers because it's a indian version of pop idol. They changed the format according to Indian audience but still they keep looking for performers like SMP to be true to original intent of the show. But SMP is not a typical female singer type who we are used to with a sweet voice but she is very talented in multiple genres and can surprise anyone with her pure talent. That's why judges or guests on any show she participated go gaga over her. But it will take time for Indian audience to accept SMP's style of singing. So Sony don't want to loose her completely and won't promote her because of their audience.

The criticism wasn't invalid though, and maybe that's what lead to people nitpicking stuff like how she's singing in same style or the yodelling. Then instead of letting it cool channel/adi started their sob story of haters. Ek to these days social media gave people voice, on other side any valid criticism is being negative or hating. They brought multiple guests saying stuff like ignore hater, people don't like woman being strong (wtf was that javed ji?) Log being bully. This was a top rated show atlst they could try to be fair to all. They tend to overdo their attention to anything they think sticks - smp ka rockstar, arudeep ka "dosti" sayli k parents angle. Ugh

Channel only put money or highlight people when they see good response, like nihal got footage in mid, aru got from start, pd got time with his instrument or even danish got like 4/5 songs in one single epi.

To all those people saying India won't accept a singer like SMP (some say India isn't evolved enough..wth..What's unevolved in liking a particular genre and not liking some? To each his own)..

How do u explain popularity of International stars in India?

We made Neha kakkar super successful who is not half as accomplished as SMP but sings same genre..not only her there r more examples..

Yes we love melody..we love our own music..but we ..as in all humans find rhythm in everything..inherently we know what sounds good , what doesn't.. even with zero knowledge of music.

Also we often see SMP dancing when others perform..she is almost in all chorus, have seen her expressions during others' comments. Ya she doesn't get all the extra drama like others..and that's one thing I m really thankful about.

So no one talks about her acting career, hosting career, dancing, love angle or parents story..it's purely singing. Also like when camera pans on her mom..she is really cute n innocent

This is one thing I mostly liked what II12 makers did towards SMP. She is spared from all the drama. Even when people love or hate it's just because of singing no other reason. Eventhough there is nothing contestants can do about drama it is really difficult to take. Not sure how they think that generate TRP that too they edit songs for those drama.
