Not that this is going to happen tomorrow but Sawaii really should be eliminated after this pathetic performance today. The fact that he got to restart the song also is not fair to everyone else. Everyone, no matter what background they come from, should be judged according to the same standards. Indian Idol should be about India's best singer not the one with the saddest story. Remember when Simon Cowell was on American Idol. He always said "Forget the lyrics and you are out."

My thoughts for today's episode:

Nachiket was from the very start! Brilliant! ahaaaa mazza aa gaya listening to his sweet rendition of the song!If he sings like this, I think he should be the winner. (Danish is good, but I just don't like when he overdoes the alaaps or insert unnecessary twists n alaaps in the songs. Sometimes kills the mood and essence of the song. )

If the judges put Nachiket in bottom 5 this week then 😡😡😡

@ Neha's theatrics, she CANNOT act! 🤣 One could tell she is gonna do mausam badal gaya!

Pawandeep - His "musafir hoon yaroon" song was very good, specially the starting.

His 2nd song became kind of soft, could have been more energetic as the song requires. But he sang well - both songs.

And the bonus was to hear Terri Mitti again! It was fabulous!👏👏👏 Loved this rendition more!

Arunita - Found her struggling in "dilbar dil se pyaare". She was not singing some portions completely. Don't get me wrong, it was nice as compared to normal, but she sings so good all the time, that I found this rendition of hers little lacking as compared to rest of her singing.

Her 2nd Naagin movie song was very good. 👍🏼

Sayali was very good! She was better than Arunita and the best among girls today I think. Both her songs were very good.👍🏼 Her dad dancing to support her was funny (his dance, not his spirit for his daughter 👍🏼)

Danish - did not listen to all of his singing, but the bits I heard, he was good.

SMP - Never thought I would say this, but I kind of liked a good bit of her singing in "sare ke sare gama ko lekar", except when she went oooooooooo. This is rare, but I guess because the song was melodious, and I liked the bit where the melody was kept. Her torooo taraa and ooooooo portions though were torture to my ears.

Her 2nd song was noise to my ears, so skipped it! 🤪👎🏼

Sawai - poor guy! 😭 maybe they should have just let him sing, and not interrupted. That made him more nervous. But when he started singing again, he sounded better than the first time, except when he forgot lyrics.

Nihal - not bad, but he picked an easy song. Other contestants are way above his singing level. He needs to be eliminated.

Sireesha - she was good. 1st song was better sung then the 2nd one. She nailed the needed emotions in 1st song!

Ashish - am not sure but he is falling flat in almost all of his performances nowadays. Did not enjoy it, not sure what it is - his voice or was he going off sur in the song? I think he should have modulated his voice better when singing the portion "taki taki ... , jhaki, baki, ...". It was appearing "besura" at those lines specially.

His 2nd song was little better. But again "tu hi chaa gaya... sajni pe dil aa gaya......" ... these seems to be going off sur.

Anjali - skipped, but saw she got mausam badal gaya

Ashish hasn't been good since he forgot the lyrics to om shanti om. Sawaii part looked like it was for TRP and votes but I could be mistaken. SMP performances I always skip, and the fact that Nihal has made it this far in the competition is still a mystery to me. Also the judges are clearly trying to save Anjali as she can only sing classical songs. Otherwise everybody else did good job.

Anyone know why they were all wearing white today? Any special occasion?

- Best performances today: Sireesha, Sayli, Arunita, Danish, Nachiket

Sireesha and Sayli deserved more appreciation today IMO. The judges gave such a thanda reaction to both of them. They should have gotten MBD. Also, thank god someone finally acknowledged Nachiket's versatility. Thank you Himesh ji! 🙌🏼👏🏻

- Nihal and Ashish were good too. Maybe average. Not really extraordinary. I could be biased though, who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️

- Anjali is getting better but she is overdoing the alaaps. However, I am not familiar with classical music so I feel ineligible to make comments about that.

- Pawandeep seems to be making a comeback. His performance today was much better than last week. He was having fun today and the song selection helped too. Lol, Himesh's reaction was way too OTT. Also, maybe MBD was a bit too much? 🤨

- Why are songs getting repeated so much? Pawandeep and Danish both sang a song that Ankush already sang in Season 10. It is bound to have comparisons. I was comparing Pawandeep's rendition of Kitna Pyaara Wada to Ankush's and I liked Ankush's better, which ruined Pawandeep's performance for me. Even in the Ajay-Atul episode, Shah ka Rutba and Deva Shree Ganesha were repeated from season 10 (when Nitin and Salman sang those songs, respectively). Heck, they are repeating songs in the same season too. Tomorrow Arunita sings a song that Sayli already sang. Last episode, Danish and Pawandeep both sang Dream Girl. Why so many repetitions?

- SMP was a mix today. I liked parts of her first performance. But the unnecessary yodeling ruined it for me. And I didn’t like her second song at all. Overall, would rank her performance on the bottom. But let’s not talk about her singing. That is personal preference/opinion. Let’s talk about the channel’s blatant favoritism. Isn’t the point of keeping a theme that everyone sticks to it? Why does she get special treatment? In the Ajay-Atul episode she sang Roop Tera Mastana. Today she sings Udta Punjab in the Jitendra episode. Tell me more about how “versatile” she is. She can’t even keep all her songs related to the theme of the episode. She has to sing completely unrelated songs to even accommodate her singing style. How much could someone possibly defend this now? 🙄 Lol, we've been discussing about episode themes (like classical, sufi, ghazal) in the other thread to gauge SMP's versatility compared to other contestants but what is the use in that now? Even if such an episode were made, she would get the special treatment and allowed to sing a song of her own preference completely unrelated to the theme of the episode. 🤦‍♀️

- Side note: What was that rendition of Mast Baharon ka main aashiq that Himesh sang? OMG. 😳

- Is Nachiket choosing to sing only one song or is the channel only giving him one? Cuz it’s putting him at a huge disadvantage. He needs to start singing two songs every episode. I understand if he sticks to one song when he’s in costume and has to play a character (like the Anthony Gonzalves performance) but why today? He sings so well; I want to hear him more and more.

- Sawai's performance was just hard to watch today man. He has to be in the bottom five tomorrow, right? Even with an upcoming banger performance, today's was a huge blunder.

- I am so nervous about the elimination tomorrow. I feel like a good singer will have to go before some of the mediocre (or even bad) ones. I'm especially worried for Nachiket, Sayli, Sireesha, and Anjali. Even with the MBDs they have been getting, god knows how the channel may twist the results.

- So tomorrow is Jackie Shroff special. I really hope the song selection is good. Like I want to hear someone sing Chalak Chalak from Devdas.

Loved SMP Udta Punjab song and performance. Grew up listening to AeroSmith and SMP is the Aero Smith of this show.

I also believe in being best of one genre and infact most singers have a unique genre that they are masters of.

In the youtube vidoes on SET channel, for one fo the episodes "uncut version", for Nachiket I think, he sang 2 songs, but only one was aired. So they are singing same number of songs, but the channel is airing only selected songs for different contestants.

Yeah It has happened many times. Vaishnav, Anjali, SMP and Sireesha's one performance was not shown in some previous episodes.

hmmm I can't remember which one it was, but thats how I came to know they are cutting off songs for many contestants. They choose to show all the drama instead of the actual singing. This is pathetic TRP tactic but thats what they are after, so .......

Plus I am in Us, and many videos are "blocked" for US. So I will try to see if I can find which song o Nachiket it was and will drop the link here.

Same for me. Although Danish performed very well but I was constantly thinking about Ridham's performance last season and I think he did better job
