Sireesha and Sayli deserved more appreciation today IMO. The judges gave such a thanda reaction to both of them. They should have gotten MBD. Also, thank god someone finally acknowledged Nachiket's versatility. Thank you Himesh ji! 🙌🏼👏🏻

- Nihal and Ashish were good too. Maybe average. Not really extraordinary. I could be biased though, who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️

- Anjali is getting better but she is overdoing the alaaps. However, I am not familiar with classical music so I feel ineligible to make comments about that.

- Pawandeep seems to be making a comeback. His performance today was much better than last week. He was having fun today and the song selection helped too. Lol, Himesh's reaction was way too OTT. Also, maybe MBD was a bit too much? 🤨

- Why are songs getting repeated so much? Pawandeep and Danish both sang a song that Ankush already sang in Season 10. It is bound to have comparisons. I was comparing Pawandeep's rendition of Kitna Pyaara Wada to Ankush's and I liked Ankush's better, which ruined Pawandeep's performance for me. Even in the Ajay-Atul episode, Shah ka Rutba and Deva Shree Ganesha were repeated from season 10 (when Nitin and Salman sang those songs, respectively). Heck, they are repeating songs in the same season too. Tomorrow Arunita sings a song that Sayli already sang. Last episode, Danish and Pawandeep both sang Dream Girl. Why so many repetitions?

- SMP was a mix today. I liked parts of her first performance. But the unnecessary yodeling ruined it for me. And I didn’t like her second song at all. Overall, would rank her performance on the bottom. But let’s not talk about her singing. That is personal preference/opinion. Let’s talk about the channel’s blatant favoritism. Isn’t the point of keeping a theme that everyone sticks to it? Why does she get special treatment? In the Ajay-Atul episode she sang Roop Tera Mastana. Today she sings Udta Punjab in the Jitendra episode. Tell me more about how “versatile” she is. She can’t even keep all her songs related to the theme of the episode. She has to sing completely unrelated songs to even accommodate her singing style. How much could someone possibly defend this now? 🙄 Lol, we've been discussing about episode themes (like classical, sufi, ghazal) in the other thread to gauge SMP's versatility compared to other contestants but what is the use in that now? Even if such an episode were made, she would get the special treatment and allowed to sing a song of her own preference completely unrelated to the theme of the episode. 🤦‍♀️

- Side note: What was that rendition of Mast Baharon ka main aashiq that Himesh sang? OMG. 😳

- Is Nachiket choosing to sing only one song or is the channel only giving him one? Cuz it’s putting him at a huge disadvantage. He needs to start singing two songs every episode. I understand if he sticks to one song when he’s in costume and has to play a character (like the Anthony Gonzalves performance) but why today? He sings so well; I want to hear him more and more.

- Sawai's performance was just hard to watch today man. He has to be in the bottom five tomorrow, right? Even with an upcoming banger performance, today's was a huge blunder.

- I am so nervous about the elimination tomorrow. I feel like a good singer will have to go before some of the mediocre (or even bad) ones. I'm especially worried for Nachiket, Sayli, Sireesha, and Anjali. Even with the MBDs they have been getting, god knows how the channel may twist the results.

- So tomorrow is Jackie Shroff special. I really hope the song selection is good. Like I want to hear someone sing Chalak Chalak from Devdas.

Not defending but this time the song somehow was related with the guest since Udta Punjab is produced by Ekta Kapoor. Roop Tera Mastana was totally out of place.

Wow, Ankush sang both O meri mehbooba and mast baharon ka main aashiq in season 10. Ridham sang them in season 11. And Danish sings the latter in season 12. Do these makers not know of any other songs by those actors/music composers/singers?

Exactly. And most importantly if the new season is coming every year why to repeat the guests again and again.

Thank you for this. Honestly, I think he sang both songs well. But even if the second one wasn't up to par, it's still unfair to cut it out. It would give him an unfair advantage. I mean, why couldn't they cut out Sawai's performance this week too then? He messed up much worse than this.

Jeetendra n Ekta Kapoor both came . Udta Punjab was produced by Ekta Kapoor . So first song was jeetandra’s n 2nd song was ekta’s film udta Punjab .even Ekta commented there in d show n requested for Vishal n smp performance .

Nothing favouritism for smp there . Jeetendra n Ekta Kapoor came . One song was Jeetendra n udta Punjab song was from ekta’s produced film , so she sang one for Jeetendra n one song for Ekta . Ekta even asked for Vishal n smp performance .

If songs from Ekta Kapoor's movies were allowed, then there are sooooo many good songs that other contestants could have sung too. They could have done one Jeetendra and one Ekta Kapoor song. Here are some suggestions:

- Tum jo Aaye zindagi mein ("Once upon a time in Mumbai")

- Pee loon ("Once upon a time in Mumbai")

- Saibo ("Shor in the city")

- Ishq sufiyana ("The Dirty Picture")

- Sawar loon ("Lootera")

- Zinda hoon yaar ("Lootera")

- Galliyaan, Banjara, Zaroorat, Humdard (all from "Ek Villain")

- Bol do na zara (Azhar)

- Itni si baat hain (Azhar)

- Baarish, thodi der (both from "Half Girlfriend")

It’s other contestants headache . Danish given audition before Ekta from ekta’s film once up on a time from Mumbai . Why special treatment to danish n Neha , Vishal , hr dropped hint tat they are making Arunita as Indian idol n judges asking Ekta to put kaala teeka y spl treatment to her n over hyping her as she is miss universe . Neha saying to Ekta to take Arunita as heroine n so many advantages she will have . Jeetendra fav n hr over action on pawandeep performance n over hyping him , y spl treatment to pawandeep .channel n judges favs - Arunita , pawandeep , danish .

blind hatred for smp . Now Smp n sireesha are sidelined as they are threat to their favs .
