Why do we feel that imlie doesn't love Aryan

As much as he loves her??

Logically speaking she has done a lot for him like purandas track, arpi marriage, jo track. Yet for majority of the audience the overwhelming feeling is that he loves her more. While imlie is Aryans entire world . You don't get the feeling that he is hers.

Like those lines go:

Humein mohabbat uss se HI thi

Usse mohabbat hum se BHI thi

It's not because of the actors. Sumbul is fantastic. Yes the tracks are rushed but then they are rushed for both Aryan and imlie. Yet after most episodes you get the feeling that she takes him for granted. Her love for akt seemed clearer. Personally I thought it bordered on obsession and toxicity but at least you could not question that she loved him.

And because of this I end up rooting for Aryan even when he is wrong. I'm finding this disconnect in the two angles of a love story which honestly I never felt in any other guls show

Any thoughts?

Due to jiju loss, Happy and carefree Aryan turned himself to hard person. Evolved himself to workaholic and lived colorless life until he met imlie, he saw all the pain what she gone through on a young age but still she managed to put a selfless, happy, cheerful and brought smile on all faces around her. She is his sunshine who brought him out of darkness, he is selfish and possessive of her because he can't lose her. He don't want to go back to darkness and live life less. He is very expressive about his emotions. Even though he knows imlie is immature, impulsive, emotionally foolish he accepted her and tried as much he can bend for her so that he don't loose her.

So did all this makes imlie love is less ??? No. She also loves him unconditionally on her own way. CVS didn't showed imlie emotion's when compared to Aryan, maybe after leap it's imlie going to fall hard on him. She is selfless and loves everyone. She don't know to prioritize because for her everyone is important, she crave and envy for family. For Aryan it's imlie comes first, for imlie family comes first. Both fill each other.

She needs to be selfish sometimes especially when it's come to her own family hope after leap we may see a imlie who is more mature and stand equal with Aryan as a life partner and companion.

What i feel is, this debate is irrelevant.

If you remember Aryan's first ever acceptance, before the 7th phera, it's mighty clear he loves imlie because of her love for others.

He's in love with her capability to love despite hardships (I'm not saying it's healthy, and that's where he comes in)

And we (audience) are in love with his selfless love for her.

Maybe this precisely is the problem. As an disinterested third party, imlie seems like an awesome person who loves anyone and everyone. But if you are in a relationship with her then this would be hell- when a person loves everyone then how am I special to her. I am just one of the many that she loves.

Add to this the problem that imlie idea of family is very flexible. Koi bhi family ban jaata Hai 2 seconds mein iske liye. So her husband is always playing second fiddle.

And as an audience this gets tiring in a love story to watch

It is definitely exhausting to watch

It's not asking a person to change after marriage. Aryan has never done that. But expecting the person to learn, and grow is logically. But imlie is stagnant since the start of the show . And that makes her frustrating as a character

I do not disagree. But if the drama must go on there has to be new or old conflict to arise around the leads.

If they grew out of their weakness it's the end.

yes.. imlie falling in love with Aryan was never shown.. she just accepted him as he trusted her which akt didn't.. n she settled down with Aryan.. I don't see anything more than this from imlie's side.. for imlie it always looks like akt was her love and Aryan is her husband..

n what was that promise thing.. did imlie want to protect cheeku only for the sake of Aryan, don't she herself prioritise cheeku over gudiya 😮.. I've stopped watching this show since long, so don't know exactly what is happening in the show..

last, Rathore's keemat of accepting imlie they will have to adopt imlie's ex n malini's child also 😤, how fair it is, Ts aren't dead yet why should Aryan take all this burden..

like jaz said, we didn't get to see her fall in love. the duk duk, the awareness, the frizzle, the sizzle. it was like arranged marriage ho ga ya love. just all of a sudden happened. imlie feels like she is doing her duty and is appreciative of him but I don't feel like she has done anything for him. she loves him but is not in love with him.

yes, she runs around like crazy when he gets hurt but as blue aunty pointed out, he gets hurt because of imlie. all of these things happen because imlie lives like a single woman and refuses to inform anyone what she is up to. blue aunty says a lot of snarky things but many of them seem on point. that is a problem when you as the audience are agreeing with a villain's perspective that imlie is not in love with aryan the way he is.

we don't see aryan having a life of his own and making decisions for himself. instead, he is there to tag along and support her. where is she supporting him in what he does? when has she allowed him to make a decision and stuck by it?

she won't even tell him when she is stepping out. that is basic common courtesy when you live together in a house even if you are just roommates. instead, she continously lies to the family about her activities. basically she acts like a single woman who is stuck with a meddlesome family and has to lie to go have fun with her friends; why do you have to lie about where you go? that looks rather dysfunctional. 🤷

If we just look at today's episode leaving everything else. Aryan has this somber look on his face. He says it again and again that he can't lose or leave Imlie, he can't let anything come in between them. Whereas Imlie's first and dare I say only thought was Gudiya.

Yes Aryan is Imlie's Dhruv Tara but he has never been her first thought. She thinks about others first whereas Aryan's only thought is about Imlie.

This difference in their love is so glaring that we as audience want that Aryan must get his share of love which sadly Imlie is not giving right now but sadly looking at the state of affairs will never give him as now her attention would be taken by the kids

for the audience who appreciate Aryan , it is bothersome, that he is the one with surplus love to give in this relationship..
