First of all, Malini is here to stay till the end. Do we want to see this empty shell of a character that she is now for the remaining however episodes, please noooooooooo. How are we to enjoy the story as a whole then? I have tried to watch stories in the past because of leads only, instead of the story as a whole, and eventually just gave up because even though I enjoyed the leads, I could never enjoy the story. In fact there was no story if the leads were not on screen for the whole 20-22 minutes and that is not practical in a daily soap. The serials start with a proper story with sub-plots but mid-way it just becomes about the leads and the story goes for a toss. But here we have subplots in the story that are connected to the leads, so the story is still interesting. We still talk about PD family, T family, C family.
Malini became an empty shell of the character because of a combination of her childhood and her delusions about her relationship with Aditya. But she is not an outright black character yet either. That is why her journey has the potential to be interesting if the writers show it that way. And even if Malini is out of Aditya-Imlie's life, she can never be out of Imlie's life as they are half-sisters. So if the character is here to stay, why not give her a character arc that has the potential to interest the audience.
It is not about what Malini likes, it is more about her personality. She has suppressed it since forever. If her real personality starts to come out as Aditya separates himself from her, and it turns out to be a total evil personality, then so be it. If her real personality is dark grey, then so be it. Right now where the story is, it can go either way. She also does not know who she really is. There is zero self-awareness in her. She is never going to be the saint she pretends to be. But she is also not a criminal. Right now I hate seeing Malini on screen too, but that can change if writers work on her character. For one, I do not want to see her being super sweet in one episode and evil incarnate the next and then again super sweet. It get's confusing for me as the audience about who she is really because she is neither super sweet nor evil incarnate. But she gets a lot of screen space. I want to see some sort of consistency in her character, whatever shade that is. And I cannot enjoy Aditya-Imlie scenes only for long if I cannot tolerate her on screen. Last 10 episodes are proof enough. If she is to stay till the end, and as audience if I want to enjoy the story as a whole along with Adi-Imlie relationship, then writers need to work on her character more.
I think we know how stories function and how characters functions.. nobody is saying we are watching for only the leads or their hyper romance contrary to what most people in guise of we watch the story for say
There is a thing called relevance to the topic and discussion and if that is not there onv someone will poi t that out.. if you ha e such burning questions about malini and her likes and have to make assumptions than maybe find another place for that caz in this thread it is totally irrelevant to the discussion that is happening and we simply run and base our analysis on the content of the episodes and what we have seen rather than presumptions based on whether someone like rain or no.. which has no darn meaning in the overall story.. like thay difference does that make to anything to adi and imlie's equation and how that Fits in the current situation is beyond me
Thanks
