I'm actually extremely glad about Arzoo losing this challenge because Sahir was very right, that without a label Arzoo is who is virtually a nobody in the fashion business, cannot do anything. Talent isn't everything and ripping the blindfold off of Arzoo's eyes was so important for what's to come next.
But here's what's even more interesting, it's that Sahir likes this. He likes pushing Arzoo to the best of her limits, he likes forcing her to show who she really is and how hard working she truly is, because that is how she surprises him. Despite himself Arzoo's already got a hold on him and it's because of how amused he is in her presence, how much he does not know her and through testing/challenging her begins to know more of her. And Arzoo only continues to learn and break her ego because of his challenges. We're seeing Arzoo go from a headstrong girl who, although completely believing of her capabilities, has no idea how the real world works, and Sahir is willingly paving that road for her. I can't help but believe that he sees something in her he once used to have in himself, a spark of some kind that he can't deny her.

Sahir is so quiet in his authority and even more so in how he continually helps Arzoo despite her hesitations. And now with her throwing her resignation at him in a moment of impulse she's caught between her turmoil of ego and being the breadwinner of her household. The more Arzoo fights what Sahir is intentionally teaching her, the less she will learn and the less of him she will understand. Sahir is her boss and he isn't going out of his way to make her life miserable which I love. Because time and time again the boss is written as malicious and taking underhanded means to ruin the female lead, but here we have the exact opposite. Sahir is going out of his way to make sure Arzoo gets the exposure she needs to becomes the person she wants to be. I can't handle it I squeal so much about this because it's just so refreshing to me. Sahir is the mentor she needs but definitely does not want.

So now what does Sahir do upon reading her resignation letter? He promotes her! To junior designer no less. If at this point Arzoo doesn't believe that Sahir isn't her enemy I don't know what will change her mind, because her biggest problem right now is her ego and I can't blame her because of the way Sahir presented his point, by humiliating her. But a part of me can't help but think he did it on purpose, to see how she would react, to see what she would do next. Promoting her to junior designer after seeing her resignation letter only proves that not only does he respect her and her talent, but he wants her to be better and to strive for nothing less than the best, because he is fully aware she is capable of success. He knows now that she is hungry to be known, hungry to be at the top, is ambitious and will not take lightly to disrespect, and so he does the one thing he knows will show her he does respect her, and thus promotes her.

It's so telling how calm Sahir is and how ferocious Arzoo is because where Sahir thinks with his head, Arzoo thinks with her heart and he knows she needs to be sometimes ignorant to her emotions in order to be successful. He is the patient man behind the successful woman, and I have no doubt that in the future he will stand behind her with all the joy and compassion in the world as she climbs her way to the top. Oh how I wish we see this, Sahir being her road to success and Arzoo in the fore front with him backing her up with the utmost pride. They are such a powerful dynamic in that he will make her realize the truth of the world and she will make him realize the truth of his heart. Her extroversion will heal his internal injuries, and his introversion will rip the blindfolds off her rose coloured but peculiarly jaded way of viewing the world. In her healing of his heart, he will not only continue to stand by her side and push her to the best of her abilities but he will prove that not all men are the same, and sometimes when it's right the man does stay. Always by her side, proving to be her strength, he is truly in so many ways her humsafar already. And I'm so overjoyed that this is happening before the reveal of his past, because to have this and then go into the knowledge of Sahir's past it will be interesting to see how Arzoo comes out with the same knowledge.

Sahir is beginning to show us just how important he will be to Arzoo in the future, let's see if the writers can do the same about Arzoo in regards to Sahir's past.

Wonderfully put 👏. I love the way you've outlined their relationship. I usually don't venture out to comment but you're post is just that wonderful.

I agree wholeheartedly! Sahir is the mentor she needs- not the one she wants. And I love that his character has such strength that he need not manhandle a woman to prove that point. I really hope that it stays this way because so far it is working in their favor. 👍🏼

AHHH this was so sweet thank you so much lovely! And omg do I ever agree with the manhandling point. He has not ONCE diluted himself to being an alpha male, because Sahir isn't an alpha male. He is a man who knows his strengths and he will never put a woman in a position to ever feel physically uncomfortable before him. His authority lies completely in his body language, his eyes and his voice, and Harshad plays Sahir so beautifully! I will forever be in awe of how well Sahir has been written!

Hehe 😆 At this point I really wouldn't be surprised, but I really do hope this promotion helps Arzoo realize Sahir isn't her enemy, in fact he's the one person trying to get her to where she wants to be.

Nice post.

Sahir is certainly the best mentor one could have ! He is that type of a strict teacher, who would force the student to bear the temporary pain in order to make the future solid !

As far as Arzoo's resignation is concerned, I think it's due to her fear of rejection. Rejection she and her sisters along with their mother has faced from her father ! She feels even Sahir , her boss would reject her ! So before he fires her, she wants to go it herself by resigning. The rejection faced because of her father has influenced her heavily in a negative way, thus making her behave in a way she move away from anything that might remind her of her being an abandoned daughter, a lost identity!

I think sahir has already promoted her at the mall ... he called someone and said aik letter tyar karo ... its not bec of resignation 😆 ... arzoo is emotional ... sahir so far isn't ... he does not take decisions in reaction and always knows what he is doing
Arzoo needs to let go of her over confidence ke wo kitni bari designbaaz hai aur kuch bhi kar sakti hai and start learning ... yesterday all she took out of that challenge was that he mocked her ... and did not look to see the all imp lesson he was trying to teach her 😆

Am glad Sahir is not the kind of male lead who teases and tortures ... in-fact he wants to push he to bring the best out of her, which is refreshing to see

P.S: Arzoo is very danger too kal ke epi ke dream ko dekh kar andaza hua 🤣

In fact looking at Arzoo yesterday a new symbolism evolved for that finger cut scene..
Sahir will probably lose a lot trying to teach Arzoo the right thing!

i agree...wen u say he does see his reflection in aarzoo...
definitely ...he was once exactly like aarzoo...full of josh...full of junoon...but no experience
what i like in sahir...is that he can actually see thru a lot of things...and ppl...
he did notice that spark in aarzoo...which he knows if mentored properly could actually turn her into a priceless designerbaaz...

i guess sahir promoted her even before he saw her resignation letter...i guess for him its the effort one puts in proving one's talent that matters...not what comes as an end result...
he has seen how impulsive aarzoo is...tasted it outcome too...so he knows...talking her into understanding things which she feels r right.,...but in reality they r wrong...won't work...
he needs to make her understand things practically...

sahir mentoring aarzoo...is a track which holds a lot of potential...as it will be providing a foundation for the development of their own relationship...plus...both realising their feelings for each other...

and i just loved how beautifully u put ur views as to how SAAz will prove to be the real humsafars in life⭐️

you are way too eloquent for me but yes - he is forcing her to learn how the world works so she can put her talent to good use. he is believing in her abilities, but pushing her to be the best version of herself. he will make her an excellent businesswoman alongside being an excellent designer.
and on the other hand, she is forcing him to stop and listen to his heart every once in a while, not just his head. she is making him rethink his stances on certain things. like you put it, one is learning how the external world works while the other is healing his internal self. they are both changing and evolving because they are challenging each other.

one thing I really really like is that before, Arzoo was foisted onto Sahir by his mother. but by accepting her resignation and then subsequently promoting her, he is CHOOSING to keep her in his life. I want to see the same thing happen in regards to her as his life partner - I want them to fall apart for reasons unknown and them for him to CHOOSE her instead of them agreeing because it was Alvira's choice.
