Well-said Tulasi, notwithstanding the fact that you did not read the thread before commenting, your suggestion was based on mutual respect for each sect, veg or non-veg. It is really all about choices, I am born in a non-veg family but am a veg by choice, yet cook non-veg for my family because my love for them overrides everything else. Each one to his own. you may eat vegetables, fish, meat, whatever, but do not look down on others who eat what you don't.
Lord Krishna, the supreme God of Hindu trinity, once remarked, if you eat meat ( read as non-veg) or no, he disliked the arrogance of vegetarians as if they were superior beings. Such a remarkable remark from a Hindu God and you have echoed the same sentiments of respect and tolerance for another group👏👏👏.
Bolded that is what I am talking about mutual respect for each other no matter what you eat.
A person even an irritating human like Amma is a vegetarian and she does not eat in a place where they make the veg food in same utensils they use to cook fish(in this case)
They understood her sentiments got food made at a neighbors. That much they understood then did they not also understand that she would be offended at the sight of a fully cooked fish even though they consider it as auspicious. (do they not have other auspicious things I wonder like dahi and sugar, haldi kumkum, diyas etc. why did they have to bring cooked fish when they sagarika's family educated as they are did they not understand that would offend Amma even though it was not meant for eating?
In all this what Lord Krishna said about "arrogance" of vegetarians ( I don't think the Supreme God Lord Krishna Thakurji ever said this about vegetarians. Did Ved Vyasa "write" it? check your facts. because you have not quoted what Lord Krishna said. "arrogance" of vegetarians is your own opinion. ) come in?
If someone is particular about vegetarianism it is their own principle. it is not arrogance. and I am sure Lord Krishna would appreciate it. not call it arrogance.
In the course of observing vegetarianism someone insists on certain things it is not arrogance. They follow a regimen and that is their personal preference.
