In a love marriage, its often very easy to overlook the details; and especially when the marriage takes place in a hurry - chat mangni, pat byaah.The couple is so keen to unite that they do not think of the fine print - rituals, cultures, eating habits, and so on; these differ even in same-culture marriages and from house to house.To overcome these barriers, both parties have to be sensitive to the feelings of each other and their extended families and try to work through their differences with an open mind.When even one of the two parties are stubborn, things get difficult, with the other party being pushed up against a wall, until explosion point is reached.I think the CVs will make us see the extreme issues that arise is such marriages, before we finally get to see a happy end.Like I said in another thread, we might see a temporary separation before Bunty pulls up his socks and takes a stand - either for his wife or for his mother 😉

The CVs have portrayed a radical image of Bengali tradition. It never happens in such households to be keeping Non - Veg items /dishes in front of those who are astute Vegetarians. This portrayal doesn't go down well with the Bengali traditions and culture. In Bengali rituals , the fish is taken as a token of good omen but never presented like that on the table when one is having Veg food. This was utterly ridiculous.
Your analysis of Bunty is very spot on, sweet, caring but cannot be stern and put his foot down! Hopefully, in the course of the serial, our character will evolve!
👏Well said ! Very good analysis ...a detailed examination of the elements of the Indian culture , typically as a basis for discussion with this interpretation !👍🏼Originally posted by: VerboseG

@TM
I understand that you are upset, I am a vegetarian too and I don't like seeing the shape of any live thing cooked, it makes me upset.But non-vegetarian do not understand this sentiment as for them it's natural. It is not possible to explain why it hurts veg.So like Seetha said this episode is hurting both veg and non-veg.
