Qitting this misogynistic show

I am done watching HD. Earlier I used to love it when Rati was shown as a strong independent women with her own mind. My now I have start detesting this . It has turned so negative. Tauji comparing Indira to a cow and indirectly saying a woman internally loves being manhandled and abused was way too much to digest and on top of this Indira kinda of agreeing.

As it society is full of injustices and prejudices against women. And this show instead of learning a lesson from the current state of women and fighting against patriarchy is propagating social evils . Therefore I am done with this misogynistic show. Illa Bedi I am ashamed that being a woman you are propagating gender insensitivity and bias. Its because of people like you that Indian society is regressive and oppressed.

Look I am not here to discuss Rishi since I have quit watching it. I don't care how he was insulted. I wouldn't mind if Indira as a person was insulted and she has been alot of times. But it is indira's gender which is insulted. The current track is reinforcing gender stereotypes and instigating violence against women. All this pallu stuff, comparison of woman to a cow , sex determination test, want for a male child, with no strong denial on the part of the protagonist is sending an extremely negative message to society and not everyone is able to judge subtle denial . Anyways feels like I have landed in Saudi Arabia.
Lastly, if anyone thinks gender bias and sexism doesn't exist he/she needs a reality check. Its not in the head in anyones head. Real people face it. Just have a look at India's GDI and you'll realise the current state of gender inequalities.

You very easily pointed out that Indira was with Kabir but you failed to consider that Rishi was with Zara and Shweta too. Indira had a memory disorder whereas rishi was in his senses.

and whose fault was that? moreover you are deviating from the point that paulomi was trying to make. the point of mentioning that was that after everything indira has no respect whatsoever for her own husband and has trust issues after everything he has done for her. i mean after so much time and so much drama, a woman knows to what extent her own husband can fall to. considering that indira is not stupid how could she just blindly believe some woman who was a complete stranger. just coz she was woman and she was accusing somebody she is right? she could have stopped the cops from taking rishi to jail and investigated with some trust in her husband.

this show is based on gender bias coz the cvs are promoting slaps and beatings by indira since day 1. the cvs dont have a single strong male character (except rishi - but he has no job either otherwise he is fine) just coz they want to show how strong indira is. i am not liking the way indira is being treated right now but she is getting back what she did to rishi since he got married to her. so according to you treating rishi since day 1 like indira did is ok just coz he is a guy and if indira gets treated like that then it is gender insensitivity and bias.

I feel very sorry for you if you believe slaps and beatings mean equality. I have countless times heard Indira saying that in spite of being a woman she has had to work while the male members of the family are idle. While I agree that the male members should work but in no way do I support Indira saying that ""inspite of being a woman she has had to work"... and in no way are such statements which bring gender stereotypes into everything whether by indira or by rishi. Use of such statements in a show isn't very progressive.

As far as Rishi is concerned, he has not been an ideal person in any way. While it's true that he loves Indira he has never respected her decisions . And its natural for indira to mistrust Rishi as he was involved in money laundering and stuff which Indira never expected from Rishi either but he proved her wrong in front of so many people.

And lastly not everything has to be about getting back. Indira has suffered alot in my opinion, much more than Rishi has ever had to .

And as far the insults Rishi has had about being nithala inspite of being male are not signs of progressiveness either.

About Tauji's words,he said those words about the general girls because not every girl is hitler like Indira.

He did not do very big thing by not mistrusting her, even if Indira was involved with Kabir intimately , Rishi would have no grounds to be annoyed with her because she was away for 8 long years with severe memory loss.

Indira did not mistrust Rishi either even though he was in his full senses and running after Zara even after he got to know that she is not Indira.

As far as rishi not hiding anything from Indira point is concerned, I have lost count of times he has lied to her and broken her trust...first about being Diwan, about almost killing Indira brother, now about Tauji and his entire misogynistic family. There are so many more instances when he has hidden stuff from Indira.

Glad at least someone is not looking at Rishi with rose colored glasses and not in denial of misogynistic elements in the show😊. I hope the show gets back to normal soon ...but till then I'll do with the written updates😉 as it physically hurts to watch that kind of saas bahu drama...😛
