The rest of the dance Lily sat and watched people dance. Those brightly lit hazel eyes roamed in her mind.
If I could only find out who—
BANG!!
Lily jumped startled by the noise. She looked around to see many people leaving, talking and laughing with there dates.
"Oh no the rounds, I'm going to be late!" Lily murmured to her self. Lily ran off to the heads dorms; she reached there at 12:05, panting.
Before Potter, yes!!
She took her mask off and waited for James. Five minutes later James came running toward her.
"Sorry-late-forgot-rounds." James breathed.
"It's okay; just don't be late ever again!" Lily snapped. They walked slowly through the empty corridors, each lost in there own thoughts.
"So, how was the ball?" James asked breaking the silence.
The night flashed before Lily's eyes.
Maybe the best night of my life.
"It was ok. How was yours?" She asked casually, smiling at her thoughts.
"Same," He replied shrugging.
They reached the heads dorm at that.
James and Lily had decided they were going to move in to the heads dorm after Halloween.
"Did you already bring your things?" James asked giving the elf in the portrait the password (Galuchi, he thought his friends were going to try to figure it out!)
"Yea, I did, yesterday." Lily replied.
"Hey Lily!" James said suddenly.
"Look Potter as much as I would love to sit here and chat with you," she said, every word dripping with sarcasm. "I need to go to sleep."
James watched her close her rooms' door behind her, "Will she ever give me a chance?" James asked Godric Gryffindors' portrait that hung lazily over the fire place.
"She will. Just hang in there my boy!" He replied smiling.
"I have been hanging in, for five years now." James said sadly closing his door behind him.

The Gryffindor common room was empty with the exception of the three marauders, Alice, Nicolle and Tanu.
"So ladies, how was the dance?" Sirius asked.
"It was ok." Alice said.
"Fine." Nicolle said
"Dance, what dance, we had a dance, when?" Tanu said, looking around.
Sirius, Remus, Peter, Nicolle, and Alice stared at her, while she looked at them curiously.
"The dance was tonight, you didn't go?" Sirius asked.
"I didn't know we were having a dance." Tanu replied.
"It was the only thing everyone was talking about for weeks." Remus said with a hint of amusement in his voice.
"Really, well anyways, even if I knew about it, I wouldn't have gone?" Tanu said laughing at her self.
"Why not?" Alice inquired.
"I don't go to dances, I don't wear dresses and I don't dance." Tanu responded casually, looking over her shoulder at Sirius who was quietly talking to Remus now.
"Hey Nicolle, who did you got to the dance with?" Tanu asked looking over at Sirius, whose head snapped at this question.
"Oh I went with Ryan." Nicolle responded, playing with her hair.
"That Hufflepuff guy?" Sirius asked clenching his hands.
"Yea, well I'm off to bed now, coming Alice?" She asked Alice, who was staring off into space.
"Hello, Anyone home?" Nicolle said snapping in front of Alice's face.
Getting mad, Nicolle hit her head with her hand.
"Wha---" Alice yelled jumping up, to see everyone laughing at her.
"You coming?" Nicolle asked in a fit of giggles.
"Yea." She said confused.
The two girls walked up to there dorm.
"So…." Tanu said, looking around.
"So……." Sirius said, his eyes glued to the girls dorm.
"I'm ganna go to bed." Remus said.
"Me too." Peter said following Remus up to the guys' dorm.
"You like her?" Tanu asked looking at Sirius intently.
"Sirius doesn't like anyone, everyone like Sirius.
"Listen big shot, if you don't tell her now, she'll find someone else." Tanu said matter-of-factly.
"What are you on about, I don't like Nicolle!" Sirius said blushing.
"I never said Nicolle, or did I?" Tanu said mysteriously.
"Y-you did!" Sirius stuttered.
"Sirius, buddy, I didn't, you like her, big deal, just because you're you doesn't mean you can't fall for a girl, go for it!" Tanu said smiling, at her advice.
"You know what I'm ganna go for?" Sirius asked Tanu innocently.
"What?" She asked happily.
"A punch in Tanus' stomach." Sirius spat.
"W-why do that, buddy, why?" Tanu asked inching away from him.
"Just because I feel like it." Sirius responded grinning.
"You know what, I think someone's calling, I'll be right back. Ok, don't go anywhere." She said running into her room, and locking the door.
"What now?" Tanu said laughing,
"There's always tomorrow." Sirius stated.
Tanu gulped, "'night buddy!"
