Lily's POV:

"HOW-DO-YOU-GUYS-SURVIVE-THIS-CLASS?" Tanu asked staring at the professor.
"Well," I hissed, "by listening!" I turned my attention back to Professor Twerp, the History of Magic Professor.
"Well I guess some of it can be interesting but not this part." She whispered back. "Oh no I'm drowning in boredom." Tanu said then dropped her hands to her sides and dropped her head to the desk.
BANG!
Ohhhh—I guess that was a little too hard.
"Owww… that hurt!" She exclaimed, while the whole class snickered.
"What's going on here?" Professor Twerp asked loudly.
"Well," Tanu began, "these two over here, Mr. Potter and Mr. Black, thought that your class, sir was boring….. Not me but them."
"Huh?" The two boys asked outraged. I couldn't help but smile.
"So I thought that I should act out what you're saying, so they can get the feel of the problems and get interested. Well when you said that the magical community was brought down by the bad news of some dark magic I brought my head down to show how badly they were brought down. In doing that I forgot about my desk and well hit my head on it." She kept going ignoring the two boys.
Wow that was good. She's a good liar.
"Thanks for wasting about three valuable minutes of the classes time, detention for the three of you!" Professor Twerp said demandingly.
"Class dismissed, and don't forget about the homework, a three inch paper about the first discoveries of magic." Professor Twerp added.
"Argggghhhh, Im not even done with my first detention and I got a second one, man!" Tanu said crossing her hands and walking out after the marauders. "I'm good, too good!"
"Hope you get time to do the homework." Nicole said after her.
"Homework?" She asked confused, "Oh that, yea."
That was weird.

Me, Alice and Nicole were sitting on the grass leaning against the tree taking in the suns warmth when Tanu came by and asked if she could sit with us.
"Sure." I replied oddly.
"So…." She said.
"Sooo…." Nicole said.
"Soooooo….." Alice said.
We stared at each other amused then began laughing our heads out.
Maybe she wasn't all that bad!
"May we join you pretty ladies?" Came a voice from my right, I craned my neck and saw the four Marauders.
"Sure!" Alice replied.
Why did she have to be so darn nice?
James immediately sat down next to Tanu and whispered something in her ear causing her to laugh out loud.
"Sorry." She murmured in a fit of laughter, "You guys are so mean."
Ok, so maybe I was wrong she was a man stealing little git—whoa what, it's just the sun getting to you Evans, calm down.
But then everything seemed different, Tanu seemed uncomfortable, almost after five minutes she sprang up and left.
"Wonder what's up with her?" Sirius asked almost to himself.
"Same." Was the only answer he received from the rest.
"So…" James said after a while
"Sooo…" Nicole said.
"Nooooo….. Not again." I said smiling.

"I caught James staring at me again." I told the two girls before going to bed.
"Awww… Put a sock in it." Replied Malli, one of our roommates, unfortunately she had been in love with James since the first day.
"Ok." I replied, didn't want her to get ticked.

James POV:

It had been days, Tanu hadn't talked to them, it was weird one moment she was fine, but then she runs off, and doesn't talk to you.
I'm just ganna talk to her!
I had caught her crying to herself one night in a deserted hallway. Luckily I was under my invisibility cloak so she didn't see me.

"Hey Tanu, can I talk to you real quick?" I asked her on Friday night.
"Sure." She muffled reply.
We walked to her room; I told her it was private.
"What's wrong?" I asked her as soon as she closed the door, "I mean one second we're friends and the next second you act as if you don't know us."
"Nothing," she replied plainly, "Nothing like that."
I studied her for a second.
"I saw you crying, and you had said that Tanu never cries." I said slowly.
"Oh well….I just remembered my family." She said hesitantly.
"It's ok to miss them but--"
"I don't miss them," Tanu snapped cutting me off, "When I think about how they treat me I just--"
"How do they treat you?" James asked concerned.
Hope its better then the way Sirius' parents treat him..
"Well," She was thinking, she smiled, "My family how should I begin? Well I'm the middle one from them. They just-- oh man this is hard."
"Just say it, trust me you'll feel better."
"Hold on?" Tanu walked to her bags and began searching through it.
"I guess it will be better is you read this."
"What are these?" I asked curiously.
"There notes I wrote them, I mean when i used to be mad, sad or outrage, anything I used to write it down because none cared to listen to me.
I began reading.
Im standing right there and my family is talking shit about me. I mean I'm freaking right there. What the hell, they think I can't hear them or something. And the cause I heard that, I punish myself thinking that maybe there's something wrong with me! They make fun of me and use me but I can't say shit. They don't even freaking care if it hurts me or not, they just don't give a dam, I don't want to see there faces again.
I dropped the letter and looked at her.
"So much pain in these words, I think it'll be better if you tell me." Truthfully I said that to make things better for me, I knew she wrote those letters when feeling mad or sad, her words wouldn't be as bad now as then.
"They never cared about me, always to me that I was a low life useless bag of trash. I wasn't good for anyone. You know when we used to go out, they used to tell people that I was there maid, and they gave me a place to stay oh so graciously." She said. She took her head in her hands as tears came out of her eyes.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked slowly.
"Um-hum." Her breath was heavy but she over took it and looked at me brushing her tears away.
"Why did you stop hanging out with us? Just because your parents are like that doesn't man you should isolate yourself from everyone." I said making sure she took in each and every one of my words.
"They said I hurt people by just being around them, they said I only bring shame harm and I wasn't worthy for friends." She replied gloomily.
"They said that and you believed them?"
"Well yea, you know when Professor D used to keep me away from all those students, I was half glad, because no student would have to face the terrifying Tanu. Whenever Harry came by I used to ignore him, but he would never leave me hanging.
"Just because they said that doesn't mean it's true. There just jealous that they will never have what you have...kindness, sincerity, loyalty, sweetness, magic and the biggest heart in this whole world." I said giving her my biggest smile.
She gave me a huge smile and a short hug.
"Thanks.... a lot." She said getting up and smiling once again.
"Has anyone ever told you that your the bestest friend ever?" she said
"Thank you, thank you, you're too kind!" I mimicked an announcer.
We walked back to the common room talking.
"Hey guys." Remus was the first one to notice.
"Hey we replied. Every one became so quiet. And I looked sideways at Tanu to see she was deep in thought.
I wonder if she thinks there not talking because of her.
"So why did they become so quiet?" I asked casually.
"Well there having a bet on who can keep quiet the longest."
"Interesting," Tanu piped in, "You guys want to have some fun with this?"
Me and Remus exchanged looks and turned to her. "Talk to me." Remus said in a business tone, "This is the best time to get them back for..."
"Well who are the two most pretest girls, we can have them talk to our buddies over there and you know the rest."
"Blimely that's hard, Sirius has been out with all girls--"
"How about them two?" Tanu asked cutting Remus off, then she turned around, "Im so sorry I dint mean to cut--"
"It's okay, no prob you can do that whenever you want."
"Let me talk to the girls" Tanu said.
"What happened to her?" Remus asked casually looking over to where Tanu was standing.
"Well her family quite like Sirius' here, except five times worse, they had told her something like not worthy for friends and she believed that." I said sentimentally. "How can people be like that? Especially when the girl is so sweet." I said kicking the table.
"Yea, well--"
"Hey guys look" Tanu said fighting a laugh back down and pointing at the guys.
In an instant we were holding each other preventing a fall from laughing too much. The two girls Chelsea and Sally, I think, were talking to Padfoot and Wormtail.
Chelsea was talking to Sirius, she was asking him if he thought she looked pretty, he nodded vigorously red in the face. "I can't believe you think I'm that ugly that you won't even talk to me. Im leaving!" Chelsea said, and ran away wiping fake tears.
On the other hand.....
Peter was making hand movements, weirdly Sally understood them. "So want to go to the next Hogsmade together?" Sally asked him sweetly. Peter made hand movements again; Sally smiled at and hugged him then walked away.
"Wow, he knows sign language, guys good." Tanu said.
What's sign language???
"Bloody hell!" Sirius bellowed, "You got Sally Tinshaw to go out with you!" His eyes landed on us. Tanu was good at hiding her laugh, she began inspecting the couch as if she didn't know what it was, "You three!" Sirius yelled and pointed at the three of us, "are going down!"
"RUN!" Remus yelled.
All three of us stood up turbulently and ran in opposite directions. Sadly it was I who met the terrible end.

Okay fine heres a little part from next chapter....

I looked into his eyes, my stomach did flips and in a second I found myself in his eyes. The intensity rising between us, I could feel it. It was as if he was trying to breaak the connection but couldnt bring himself too. All he could do was pull me close and he did.

His eyes held so much emotion, it overwhelmed her. Her heart pounding in her chest, she could feel the beats through her body. His eyes held so much emotion, yet his soul was cryptic, everything about him hidden under a mask......

Lily's POV:

The head duties were becoming a pain. I kept forgetting the meetings. I always got there late, good thing James was laid back.
"Perfects meeting now in session." James said as I sat down and watched him talk. I was lost in my own world, I snapped out when I heard James say, "Well I guess that's about it, right Lily?"
"Yea, I guess." I replied mentally shaking my head.
After everyone left James looked at me……concerned, "You heard no word that I said, right?"
"I'm sorry, I've been preoccupied." I replied quickly.
He began laughing, "Its okay, I just wanted you to know that we'll be patrolling after the masquerade ball."
"Okay," I said standing up to leave.

"How do I look?" A masked girl in a red strapless dress that gracefully fell to the floor asked. Her red dangling earrings shook at her every movement.
"You look like a girl in a mask." Lily said outraged, it had been the sixth time that Nicole had asked her that.
"Whatever, and will you get ready, I don't want to be late." Nicole snapped. Alice had already left.
She walked to my part of the dorm and pulled the curtains over. She wore a simple dress robe.
It's not like anybody's ganna know, were all masked.
They walked down the great hall together. The decorations were awesome, yet creepy. There were students walking around aimlessly hoping they would be asked to dance. While there were others who had began dancing, not caring who was watching.
Why would they, no one would recognize them.
"Lily?" A soft voice asked from behind her.
"Yea, ummm…. Remus, is that you?" I asked unsure of the persons reacting.
"Yea, wanna dance?" he asked, obviously bored.
"Sure!" We made our way through the crowd, and began dancing, in a moment a slow song began playing.
"So much for our dancing!" Remus exclaimed, "I hate slow dancing, because I can't dance."
She was following Remus out, when a hand grabbed her wrist.
"Hi, sorry, actually my friends dared me to dance to this song, knowing I'm not a good slow dancer so I was wondering if you wanted to dance with me, you seem like your pretty good." He asked uncertainly.
"Sure, I'd love to." Lily said
They walked to the furthest corner and began dancing. He spun her out, and then in, she stopped an inch from his face. His eyes bore into hers. There was definitely something going on with them, but it was hard to tell what it was. The intensity was too hard to handle. His eyes held so much emotion, yet his soul was cryptic, everything about him was hidden under a mask of happiness, if overwhelmed her. The world around her vanished, the song went mute. The only thing that was there were those hazel eyes. Slowly but surely he was pulling her closer, her heart beat quickened, she felt it through her body. An electric jolt ran up her spine and she could've sworn she had seen sparks, but the eyes that held her gaze wouldn't let her go. But then, almost suddenly the eyes began shutting down, they were building a barrier to hide himself. BAM, the connection was gone; the feeling of intensity was gone. He let go of her fairly quickly and abruptly walked off, leaving a dazed Lily behind. The only thing that was in her mind was those brightly lit hazel eyes.
