"Shhh, be quiet!"
THUMP, BAAM
"Sirius, you big oaf, be quiet! Your ganna wake everyone up!"
"It's not my fault Tanu, these stupid chairs are in my way!" Sirius whispered.
"What your walking right behind me, if the chairs were in your way, they would be in my way too!" Tanu whispered back dangerously. "Remus be careful" She added kindly.
"Why are you being so nice to him!?" Sirius asked with amused, hurt look. He put his hand to his heart, and sighed deeply.
"Sirius, first, I can't see you so stop putting your hand to your heart (At this Sirius began protesting, "Then how do you know Im putting my hand to my heart?" To which Remus responded, "Because you do that alot! Git!"). Second, Shut up. Third, Im being nice to Remus, because he is not the one making all the noises! Do you realize, that by making these noises you can wake someone up? If someone sees this our plan will be ruined!"
"Sorry, but-"
Remus cut Sirius off, "Guys where is Peter?"
"Oh, I sent him off to the kitchens, to see if the house elves can get all the food ready in time." Tanu replied, sqirming a little to the left to avoid hitting the lamp.
"Okay, lets put the cake over here-" Tanu was cut off by the lights flicking on, and the Gryffindor students looking at them amused.
Tanu looked over at Sirius and flicked him on the head, "See, its all your fault!"
"What, what did I do?" Sirius asked alarmed.
"Guys, guys, chill, its okay, everyone, but James is here, we heard about your plan and decided to help!" Lily said.
"Okay, close the light, I don't want Mcgonnagal to come." Tanu said smiling
.
"But how will we see if the lights are off? We won't be able to decorate!" Sirius exclaimed looking at everyone as if they were crazy.
Lily stared at him incridously, "Lumos" She whispered, and closed the light.
"Oh, well.." Sirius smiled sheepishly.
What Sirius hadn't noticed was that Nicolle was standing behind him, smiling at his cute expressions.
The students went to work, while some decorated the walls, the others went around shushing everyone, so James wouldn't wake up.

Tanu and the Marauders had planned this for James birthday! It was supposed to be the biggest and funnest bash around. Sirius wanted this to be a happy day for James, so he devised a plan, and told Lily. It was a crazy-Sirius-like plan, on how to tell James that Lily liked him.
It was around 1 'o' clock A.M. when the bustling stopped and everyone stepped back to admire their work. Suddenly, the lights flickered on, and a cough. Everyone turned to see James standing there shocked, looking at everyone. Some people were covered in Paint (those who colored the walls thought it would be fun to have a paint - o - ramma fight) some fighting with rubber chickens (namely Tanu and Sirius) who were trying to entertain the people who exhausted from working and some were cleaning up the mess (namely Lily, and by force Nicolle and Alice).
For a few minutes, no one said anything.
"Suprise!" Tanu and Sirius yelled out, looking around. Everyone got the hint, and began screaming wierd things at random intervals like:
"Suprise!" By Lily, Alice and Nicolle.
"Errrk!" By Peter who came flying in to the common room.
"Happy Birthday Mate!" By Frank and Remus.
"Pip pip lidodlydoo!" By Tanu and Sirius, who were still holding the rubber chickens in warrior position.
This resulted in James laughing like a maniac and falling down the stairs. He stood up after a few minutes, looking at everyone with a huge smile on his face.
He went around hugging all his friends and saying "Thanks."
He hugged Sirius and Tanu saying "You guys rock!"
Stared at Peter, who was busy distangeling himself from the throw, "Thanks buddy!" He said after a few seconds.
Gave Remus and Frank thumps on the back saying, "This means alot to me, thanks alot guys!"
He hugged Lily, but jumped back quickly, ruffleing his hair, "Thanks." He murmered.
"No problem." She whispered back.
After Lily sent a very fast cleaning spell, and after the elves magically sent the bundle of food (Sirius insisted that a party could not take place with out any food!), and after everyone brought down presents (because of Sirius insisting that a party could not take place with out presents, and those who did not bring any could-but was cut off by Tanu, who very sweetly asked "where is your present?")

Everyone talked and danced, but Lily stood out in the balcony, staring at the half moon, smiling.
"Hey!" Some one whispered softly, she turned and saw James, she gave him a little smile.
"Hey." She said back, looking back up at the sky.
"Beautiful night, huh?" He asked.
"Yeah, beautiful." She whispered.
She turned and looked at him for a few seconds.
"What?" He said inquiringly, yet he was smiling.
"Nothing" She replied, looking back up.
"No tell me, what?" He asked curiously.
"Nothing, really!" She said, smiling at his tone.
"If you say so..."
"Hey Prongs, come open you presents!" Someone yelled from inside.
"That Sirius, the only one who would worry about presents!" James said. "I'll be back!"
"Okay." Lily said. Her heart thumping, it was time, he was going to open her present. He was going to read her note.
James ran in, looking at Sirius dangerously, "What?"
"Go open your presents, they're in our dorm!" Sirius said, pushing James up the stairs, "Go, go, hurry!"
James wondered, 'Whats the rush in opening my present?'
James walked into his room and saw, two pile full of presents, but on the top 5 presents stood out.
James walked over and opened the first presnt on the top, it was from Peter:
It was a broom cleaning kit, one that I always wanted!
It also had a note:
James,
Happy Birthday!
I really didn't know what else to get you sooooo...Hope u like it!

The next present was no doubt from Tanu:
It was a little picture album sort of thing, it had pictures of everyone! All of us doing something wierd, and by each picture she wrote a little qoute, the first picture was of Sirius fighting with the Gaint Squid-to which Tanu wrote, Go Squid Go, Squash the Sirius! Who likes him anyway, we all pretended to like him! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....Bugger off Sirius and go drown!
'Hehe' James thought, 'ganna have to read this later!
He picked up the next present and just by the look he could guess it was from Remus:
It was a series of books on Quidditch for a Fool!
Trust Remus to get him something like this!
There was also a note!

'No wonder his note is a little Loony!' thought James smiling.
The next present was from of coarse Sirius, he could tell by the odd looking shape of the present:
It was a...."OH MY GOD" screamed James, it was a Jet Pack 150! The fastest broom ever!
There was also a note attached:

James smiled, this was so like his friends, He couldn't imagine a life without them, if their was a life without them, it wouldn't be fun!
The last presnt took him by suprise, it looked so professional!
He read the note first it said:
James,
Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Oh and well I have something to confess to you, but I don't really know how, oh and this is the other suprise from Sirius, he is forcing me to write this...but ummm how sould i say this....James I guess, this whole year, you have showed me many faces of you, and well I guess I fell for them, I guess I fell for you...I really like you and well, this sounds a little draft, I know, but I have no time, and I have to hex Sirius!

'No wonder Sirius was as red as a pimple that one d----oh my god Lily likes me!' and with that James fell to the ground, to stand up 1 minute later and he began doing the victory dance.
He dropped everything on the ground and ran down stairs, the party was in full swing!
Sirius saw him run down and gave him two thumbs up and wink. James looked at him for a minute and thought 'I really do have the greatest friends ever' He looked around and saw Lily standing out in the balcony. His heart started pounding, and everything around him went mute, except his heart, which was pounding really fast and annoyingly! He mustered all of his Gryffindor courage and lightly put his hand on Lily's shoulder, who turned aroudn smiling, but that smile faltered when she saw him.
"Hey," She whispered, not really looking at him.
"Lily, what you wrote...I mean....Was that...are you....Joke...I mean, do you really...is this for real.."
Lily cut him off by lightly putting her lips on his, only to pull back after a second. James stood there stunned, staring at Lily, who bit her lips and quietly said, "You were blabbering." and she ran out the common room, panting.
She ran out and pushed her back to the wall, smiling and half laughing, she couldnt believe this, she had, she had actually kissed James potter, she turned her face to the side smiling.

James Stared at the place where Lily stood only minutes before, his mouth hanging wide open. He took a deep breath and turned around, but he couldn't see Lily. He looked around frantically, could this be the moment Lily actaully took a liking in him and him blowing it up, by not finding her? 'That doesn't even make sense' thought James.
He caught Sirius looking at him, and saw him give a little wave towards the portrait hole. James got the meaning and he went out, and there stood Lily, her back against the wall, just standing there, so innocently.
"Ahem" James cleared his throat.
Lily looked up, and saw him, looked back down, bitting her lower lip. This gave a little courage to James, who walked up to her, and stood right infront of Lily, who was still looking down, with a shy smile, and her face flushed.
This feeling erupted in James, it was a wierd feeling...or feelings. He was feeling Happy, giddy, excited at the same time. He wanted to Jump up and begin yeling out loud, but at the same time he wanted to just sit and stare at Lily, who sill wasn't showing any signs of looking up.
"Lily..."He breathed out.
She nodded as to show that she was listening, she was uncable of talking, she didn't even trust her self to talk.
He wanted to hold her, yet he didn't know how to approch her. How would he, chasing that one girl for 6 years, and then getting her, he wanted it to be special!
It was too much for Lily, 'He's just standing there!' She thought, it was making her uncomfortalbe, yet at the same time it made her feel great. She finally got the courage to look up, and when she did she couldn't look away. His eyes were startleing. They just stared at each other for a while.
"Lily..." He whispered again, this time hardly audiblely.
It was too much, the feeling was so intense, that Lily turned to go, but he caught her hand, and slowly turned her around, bringing her closer then they had been only a few moments before.
He moved in and placed a firm kiss on her lips.

After a few minutes James and Lily moved away from each other panting. Lily still couldn't look at James, when ever she did, her face got red. James loved that, how Lily was shy, yet so out going...in a way.
She walked ahead of him. He was standing behind her, and so he put his hands on her stomach and pulled her close, burying his face in her shoulders.
"Lily, I-I-really.."
Lily smiled, "James, I love you!"
His head snapped up, and he looked at her. In one swift moment he turned her around and kissed her lightly.
"I love you too." He whispered.
They took each others hand and walked in.
"Woooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooo!!! Go Prongs!!" Sirius yelled as soon as he saw them holding hands!
"Sirius, calm down!" Said a laughing Nicolle, why wouldn't she laugh? Sirius was jumping around and doing a mix of the victory dance, the quidditch dance, and also the formal dance! He was too happy, his best friend finally got the girl...after 6 years of trying so hard. He was just to happy, he turned and kissed Nicolle and continued dancing, he didn't even realized he kissed her. Nicolle stared at him for a while, and lightly dragged her fingers over her lips.
After a few minutes Sirius realized and he turned around, "Im---im really very sorry, Nicolle, I really didn't--"
Nicolle hugged him, "You dolt, did you even realize I was waiting for this forever?"
And so the night progressed, everyone was happy....except one girl: Tanu
What was she to do, this year was almost ending. Was she to go back to her time and her people? Or was she to stay with the new friends she made? But you know what? Im ganna leave this to you guys, meaning the readers. Because well, I don't want to send her, nor do i want her to be kept in the Marauders time. So it's up to you, make your own ending!
