This sher when taken by itself, plays on the synonyms to convey a deeper meaning.

Here both "Main" and "khudi" are synonyms, meaning "ego", "sense of self". Sharan, Khudi is not to be mistaken for "khuda" which means God, Bhagwan.

So the shayar is trying to play on the words and say that sometimes we are so, for lack of a better term, "full of ourselves" that we forget ourselves. Self-obsession may sometime lead to losing the real picture and actually forgetting/overlooking what is really going on with us /is good for us.

I think the reason Ashish quoted this (if it is not his own shayari), is because the earlier tweets were talking about bringing out the Bhayyaji persona in the walk and talk of the character. So it was the outward, physical manifestation of the Bhayyaji attitude.
