The celibacy vow. Artarth, yeh mahapurush, yaani ke apne Awadheshwa, priyatma Arpita se kauno prem sambandh nahin rakhenge. And pray, what will that accomplish? Presumably, it will help him concentrate all his mental energies and physical bahubal on the search for Lal Singh, and once found, his slaughter.

As any five year old will tell you, the value of a candy rises in direct proportion to the height of the shelf that holds the jar........in other words, the surest way to make something extremely desirable and ensure it garners maximum attention, is to ban it...........simple principle of supply and demand. Therefore, Bahubali, please know that this asinine move of yours will come back to bite you...................and very soon. Till then, you can revel in a false sense of superiority and keep patting yourself on the back for doing the noble deed of sacrificing your happiness at the altar of Bhouji's/family honour. But it seems that you only learn the hard way.........so wait until the next time you aim your gun and see your attention waver because your mind's eye will replace the sight of the target with the enticing picture of Arpita in her wedding dress, waiting for you. Tab aqal thikane aayegi, bachchoo.
Yeh to baat hui Bhayyaji ki. Now to the wailing hordes of IF -GKD forum members (yours truly included) who are incensed at this development and want to beat the CV's to a pulp:
As far as I can tell, Bhayyaji's character is in some respects quite weak, or rather is still in the formation stage, where he can be strong as steel on occasion and the very next moment be swayed to the opposite end, chiefly by B. Case in point being his totally giving up on Arpi when he saw Pappu and her together at Moti Mahal'.it was her bold step of writing to him that made him see the light. Also, at some level, he feels guilty for:
- Defying his hitherto guiding star, aka Bhouji Falling in love and being happy with Arpita when B has never known the pleasure of married life.
- Seeming to get on with his life when the family business of revenge was still pending.
This is, perhaps, the reason that prompted him to make the vow, to somehow punish himself for his transgressions of the past few days. What he seems to have missed out on is, that this decision directly affects another person, who incidently, happens to be his wife of few hours. An eighteen year old girl who put herself in mortal danger in order to be with him.
Plus, this story is based on Othello....... a play that explored, in an aching, tragically beautiful manner, that deadly human frailty called jealousy👏. So there is B green with envy and now, I guess, by making Arpi unattainable, CV's will make Avi jealous of anyone who dares to turn even his eyes in her direction.😳
So fikar not, Kanyalog, all will be well. Once this moment is past, he will come to his senses and realize his mistake and how much it has hurt Arpi. Then, even though he is tied by his vow, he will make some amends to her. She being her sweet self, and totally devoted to him, will forgive him and in turn will take a vow to support him in all his endeavours.
Another very important point: it is good that this happened before the SR had gone any further''..believe me, it is lot easier to not do something in the first place, than it is to do something and then stop. 😳After all, it is kind of hard to miss a dish that you have never tasted, if you get my drift.😉
