Okay before all else I have to say, this was (I think) the first, or among the very first at least GK scenes I watched - and when i watched this with absolutely NO background on the story itself and whatnot, I thought the scene was like about this guy who was so smitten by this woman - and I somehow put the whole ghungat defense from Gulaal to mean that she was out of bounds of his love for some - you know what - kind of odd societal reason. So I was like, okay basically he's in love with this woman who is not his to have officially! Basically, I thought this was something like a Mohabbatein third couple situation- like I just wild guessed it could be something like that!

But what I did NOT think for a second was A) this guy has no freaking idea he loves her so crazy ☺️, and is in fact putting on hate caps! 😳 - there's like I AM SMITTEN written all over his face! B) this woman is OH SO FAR from any of that papp ki bhavna love realization C) On the contrary this has to be out of her mind woman is trying to hook up this how can you let him go guy with that how dumb does she get chit of a girl! Like seriously! I wouldn't have guessed any of these real facts in my wildest conjecture! But the scene still intrigued me, enough to catch my eye, and unknowingly sort of think it out enough to give the scene a scenario of how it must have come about! Although it still took me another month or so to actually start watching the show! Anyway - history quoted =)

Phir Kesar ko aaya gussa...Talli ki yeh himmat?😆 <--- Talli is OMG dumb *face palm* because he doesn't talk to her because she isn't talking him, neither cares - she throws a wet dress cloth at him?! And Kesar ki to male ego divide by 400 at Talli's par excellence aim - which btw was all thanks to camera tricks, cause when the cloth is in projectile motion, it is so obviously going to fall short of target Kesar 🤣 but miraculously it hits him 🤔 and then OMG MORE DUMB to Talli's expression of triumph *head desk* ye kaisi AJEEB bandi hai!

Ooh this music was same as the one they play in the hopscotch later! And I loved loved loved it there ❤️
This must be the cosiest "hug" Kesar ever managed to give Gulaal, nahin?😆 <--- ZOMG, right! How do we never count this one in their list of meager hugs?! Abi total 4 and half hogayi 😆



The I AM SMITTEN look ! This was totally (to me as someone who knew nothing of the story) boy secretly has hots for this woman and manages to get into a moment like this with her - but AWKWARD dawns in oh-so-slow-ly! ☺️

And Gullu can say what she wants - but just this second, she's really just caught for a moment too. Not in a trance, and certainly not 'smitten' - but this is JOLT #1 of what JK might have implied when she told her day 1 of return - Kesar ab bachcha nahin raha! Gulaal looks at him like she's suddenly discovered his dimensions are no longer 4 feet tall, 4 and half wide 😆 That the chubby cheeks have now become bulges in the doley 😍 It probably jumps at her, that the grip that gripped her round a second ago, was that of a grown up male! She's looking at Kesar in a just newly discovered entity way! It's almost like, this is her second 'looking' at him, after that first moment the day he comes back!

And the way Kesar's expression finally snaps out of the daze, when I compare it with the last appraisal she had of him, when he'd just come back, her pride and his pure sheer happiness in it - this Kesar feels the hit in his gut at her gesture of drawing the ghunghat. Its like a blatant sign of how further away he has driven her! And although he has no idea of why it matters, when that's what he's trying to do, or how much this will take undoing in the future - its obvious he has a distasteful feeling inside about this. Like something as intuitively wrong, as intuitively right it had felt to see that pride in her eyes back then.

Gulaalcovering her head with pallu after "being caught" by Kesar' not just being caught from behind but being caught being unsettled by Kesar's sudden holding her'for once she too was caught totally off guard ..and time stood still'.. till she realized and covered herself up ' donning the "Devi avtaar" whom Kesar couldn't touch

GK : it struck me that just like Kesar "covers himself up" in his cold front everytime he realizes Gulaal might have seen his vulnerable side '..Gulaal also keeps covering herself under her pallu to hide the woman inside as soon as she is "visible" to Kesar ... or to her own self '. As if she feels safe and "forgotten" inside her pallu and the Gulaal outside is the "correct and righteous" Gulaal , 'all this is, ofcourse , done unconsciously , but there is a striking similarity with which both hold on to covering their innermost emotions and try to be what they think they should be'..

Talli : On a lighter note had Talli washed Kesar's white pajama kurta ' is that what she threw at him on the terrace ? poor thing , she was really considering Kesar her apnaa in a very certain way..

And Talli's "haar gayaa" reminded me of Gulaal's "jal gayaa" in the later scene

I am stopping abrubtly because one can never rant enough about a GK scene and I am happier reading what you all write because it make me relive the scene with so much more clarity

I have been a a very very silent reader in this forum for quite a long time.Today i finally decided to jump in cause this scene is one of my absolute favs.While watching it on tv i was totally dejected about the previous episodes and all the talli footage was getting on my nerves.but this small scene pleasantly surprised me and once again i was sucked back into this beautiful unusual lovesotry .
