@Jzee , Just loved your title to the video, too good - your title itself almost described the whole scene...

"almost" only because with GK scenes one can go on describing them and still have more to say - that's a different matter...

@"
She begins with -kuch kehna tha? Because there he is, standing in an undecided stillness of sought, like he doesn't know what to do next, or can't make up his mind. It's almost, almost, like she'd bait him to apologize for what's he done! " : very well said , I didnt look at it that way , I was still soaking in their encounter - she was indeed "baiting" him to apologise ...
also, now that you make me think , I see that in asking this , somewhere
unconsciously she was also moving away from the unsettled feelings of this "encounter" to her more known territory of being the one in charge of Kesar , where she knew how to handle herself ..and in a split second Kesar was also back to the known terrain - "mai tere saath nahin jaana chahta tha", and they were back to hiding their still shaken selves behind the cover they prefeered to have...

and you are so right when you say..
when she says - jaanti hu. There's that flickering expression in Kesar's eyes that second, like he's disappointed she didn't show more reaction. 😊

And I liked the way she said "gussa dikhaane ka apna samay hota hai , apni jagah hoti hai" …sounded like they could have their own fights , but the world did not have to know about , it was their own private matter , so much like a couple …
they were always so much closer to each other than they ever realised...šŸ˜.

seriously, was talli blind?could she not see what was happening in front of her.well actually she was always blind, remember even in the" tu hamesha sundar lagti hai" scene she can see that kesar's attention is on someone else but still she goes on and on about her appearance.

This scene will always remain special there's something very magical about it with the whoosh sound and that beautiful music.I think in the first zoom out shot kesar was still holding gulaal and in the second zoom out one when gulaal is looking at talli, kesar is still looking at gulaal.kesar really looked like a zombie just going through the motions even after the trance was broken.

thanks nur for the welcome.I will definitely be a part of the discussions.😊

When the chase started, I sighed another one of those stupid chases, but wen the camera panned and I saw Gulaal- I wanted to hug the CVs myself. Kesar' expressions were like he mentally exclaimed, "WOW"- his wind knocked out.

@bold : Very well said - "WOW" - that's exactly what seems to be written on his face !

As if she feels safe and "forgotten" inside her pallu and the Gulaal outside is the "correct and righteous" Gulaal , 'all this is, ofcourse , done unconsciously , but there is a striking similarity with which both hold on to covering their innermost emotions and try to be what they think they should be'..

^^ Well pointed out VJ. To add to it, in this particular scene, I thought even Kesar himself had a defense mode in the way he clutched onto that sugarcane stick! Rare to Kesar - but he was dealing with the carried forward from night before guilt in addition to the inexplicable stunned to statue moment he'd just snapped out of! And then, Gulaal said only a few things, but everyone that hit him for a point. His best bet - that feeble, main tere sath nahin jana tha - failed easily, and he was holding onto this futile sugarcane defense like it was going to turn into a wand to magically save him; the way Gullu holds the futile pallu defense like its some version of great wall of China šŸ˜†

And Talli's "haar gayaa" reminded me of Gulaal's "jal gayaa" in the later scene

^^ oh wow, I didn't think of it, but yeh! Given the pun intended in both dialogues even if sans intention!

I am stopping abrubtly because one can never rant enough about a GK scene and I am happier reading what you all write because it make me relive the scene with so much more clarity

Cheers!
VJ

^^ Oh so true Mini! That has to be the blindest of all Talli scenes! He's literally got his eye stuck up ahead, and she still chooses to be in her own conviction fantasy!

Will look forward to seeing you around more 😊

Totally VJ! She doesn't even realize that undertone which makes it sound so couple like - keep up with the routine and keep the fight inside the four walls of the bedroom - and Kesar doesn't pick that tangent either - but its all over and enveloping them!

Now that is" WOW".
I had seen NB before in KB.He did a good job there too.But as Kesar he lived the role and made me a regular Gulaal viewer.
