I third that - it did occur to me, that maybe she thinks he's apologizing for everything, including the night confrontation- but really, she has to be the most bizarrely prejudiced and blinded person to keep believing that too long. Because one night he comes and tells her she's self destructive, next morning he gives in to her to make her happy, next she hears him claim her happiness tops his priority, and she knows he loves her still, deny as she might.
Annoyingly at this point - she may have shoved it down the drain on account of the apology. As for Kesar apologizing, he's totally sorted out. He knows where he was wrong, and that's what he truly repents and has tried to fix. He understands he's giving up and giving in (even wrongly, because it's given Gulaal all the more reason to fool herself) but he's so done with being on her wrong side I suppose.
Just like her. Gulaal might have had better sense than to step back into her 'patronizing' role as you call it Reemz so soon, if she hadn't been subconsciously so deprived of this one bond that her life is thriving off from years now.
