I wasn't expecting Gulaal to suddenly fall in love with Kesar as soon as she read the letters and its not really her who I'm disappointed in today. The audience has witnessed Kesar's pain via those letters where he would sob uncontrollably while reading them. As Lennie said the letters bared Kesar's heart & soul but today all that kind of went to waste. Somewhere at the back of my mind I thought Gulaal will come across these letters when she is truly battling with her feelings. It was the wrong time to let the cat out of the bag IMO.
But that's done and dusted. The letters didn't live up to the hype (though the scene was shot beautifully as always) and we have to move on.
The question now is: What will it take for Gulaal to fall for Kesar?
She wants to leave home but like a few of us have predicted, Kesar should stop her (I'm scared to predict now). What happens after? Will he just let her be and not put any pressure on her to accept the marriage from her side? Mein confooja gayi hu! What's Tallis role now?!😕 What will make Gulaal view Kesar in a different light?
