What an amazing perspective on not so amazing show and character!

I don't think writers had these thoughts while building up the storyline. But your analysis is really interesting. Pakhi is pathetic character as she plays victim all the time and does not want to take control of her life rather wants to control others lives be her husband or so called son.

But I would say this character is quite real as we see such people around us.

Loved this post.

Beautifully expressed by everyone who contributed to this thread. It makes sense and gives additional "ganja" for the show.

When someone wishes shiddat se something, that boon is granted only "once" in their lifetime, aisa kuch hona chahiye.

Now P has her desire of being in V's life, she also wants to get him physically(encouraged by all CN wasis). Her shiddat is increasing with every episode. Next pata nahi aur kya chahegi. She needs to face the "shiddat" wala statement when Sai escaped and met Savi at CN. Because she was granted one wish now she is getting greedier and bolder for more.

So I am campaigning for Universe grants only one boon in one's lifetime!

Shiddat - Part 2

This may be a controversial one 😉 Because this is about V and his shiddat wala pyaar.

With all the flaws, V genuinely loved/s Sai. But how is it different from the Shiddat we discussed yesterday? A small twist in the philosophy followed with an addition from Richard Bach

"If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they're yours; if they don't they never were"

V followed this philosophy. Even when he first fell in love, once he doubted Sai may not reciprocate his love, he decided to retract and set her free. He never wanted to force his love on her. But while his mind followed this, his heart always yearned for her. For the emotional guy he is, the war between the mind and heart was so strong that he often contradicted in his words and actions.

This aspect is evident throughout. Right from anniversary track. He became indifferent towards her. When he believed that he should set her free and not force his love on her, why was he rude towards her? Should he not be respecting her feelings then? But no. He contradicted his thoughts in actions. Even now when he says he cannot be with Sai, he expects her to acknowledge and express her love for him. He declares that he cannot leave P and she is his wife blah blah. But wants to be with Sai. Should he not be setting her free. Then why get possessive and question her if someone else shares a similar moment with Sai that he believes was personal to only them. Sathya is sharing some of his memories and recreating with Sai. Why is he impacted. Should he not set her free to lead a life of her own?

Pre leap, once Sai reciprocated, his approach changed. He wanted her to choose him always. Never to leave him. Trust him for all the decisions he made.

He wanted to test her again during P's bail out. But Sai had enough of trusting him. She had been tried repeatedly. And she could not afford to risk her son with this test.

V's love for Sai is most evident in the years he believed her to be dead. It is easier for people to forget people and move on when someone is not alive. But V held on to her memories, and nothing dampened the depth of his love for her through all those years.

With all that conspired between Sai-V, Sai eventually fell in love with V. His desire to be Sai's love was approved by the universe. Because "Shiddat se maanga tha". And the same shiddat even in her assumed death kept her alive and brought her back to him. Even with no hope his desire manifested. Such was the "Shiddat"

So where does V's Shiddat falter.

A boon is a blessing. Hence needs to be treasured. It is something that is granted upon us as a reward for our efforts, for our intense desire and focus. Treating it as an entitlement, and taking it for granted is not just an insult to the boon but is also showing disrespect for the one granting it.

This is where V failed. He took the love, the boon for granted. He did not respect it the way it should. have been. It became an entitlement, that he could choose to treat the way he found fit. He had this sense of partial ownership where he could take decision on Sai's behalf. For V she became someone whose feeling and emotions could be forfeited and mortgaged and sacrificed for meeting his own principles and needs.

Just because she is his love makes her lose the priority. Something I had mentioned a few times before. For V, the definition of farz is being selfless. Just because Sai is his wife/love, he cannot choose her. Because that makes him selfish and fall flat on his farz. And for V his Farz comes first. Clearly a very injudicious way of defining and classifying Farz. Because, he does have responsibility towards Sai and his kids. He is disregarding this Farz, only because that is where his heart is. And hence he will be called selfish. Is that not someone who is more concerned about his image?

So in all this what V has done is disrespect the boon, the desire to have his love and kids, his family with the one he loves. His shiddat made the universe, return the boon that was revoked. But he chose to be ungracious again and demean the mercy and consideration that was bestowed upon him.

Every manifestation is a gift..a boon. For which one needs to be grateful and respect and treasure. But V fails at it..yet again! He is bound to pay the price!!

PS - Something that may be missed in direct narrative. But indirect narrative has its answers. This one is for you Sadhika 😉

V has been very direct wrt his feelings for Sai. Non verbally. And his intent in ending up with her. The Holi confession should be the most trusted version of his feelings since he couldn't fake or deny things in that state. Someone who has confessed his love to Sai twice, and is well aware that she knows about it, refuses to share the very same thing in front of Kaku? Says he cannot confess to her. What kind of double play is V playing here?

Well articulated!!!

for some reason I haven’t been able to express Virat’s love in writing. All I know is he loves Sai deeply and he is truly himself only infront of Sai no barriers! The Virat, Sai knows no one will ever know. Sometimes it’s through Sai’s reactions to what Vs actions are, we see what Virat actually meant in that situation.

I love how you penned it… blessing are indeed to be respected nurtured and protected. You are not entitled to them.

Wow! superbly put. The caption is absolutely correct.

We discussed several times how Virat and Pakhi's passion/love is similar. But what makes Virat's love beautiful is that, he will reign it if Sai is not willing to take it. He will not give it to anyone else nor makes Sai obligated to receive it.

There is this dialogue he says during Harini's birthday party at the pool when Pakhi ridicules that Sai doesnt love him.

"Even if Sai doesnt reciprocate my feelings, I will not make her feel lesser or obligated to return my love"

Even today, he is begging her to show the love because he is not willing to pressurize her in any way. He is trusting her words during confession and taking the steps forward. If he gets an inkling that Sai doesnt want him, he will stop making efforts. Thats what makes his love worthy for rooting.

Off topic but related to this. I read somewhere related to sociology, why the marital relationship is considered as weakness. Because it is associated with sex, which every religion chastised. Especially if a man stands by his wife, it is termed as weakness. Where as the woman is expected to stand by his man. Because woman's sexuality never existed. :D Woman stands by her husband to "look" after him in his lows. But if man stands by his wife, it is his weakness for sex. These norms are drilled into the minds of society. In any culture, a man standing by his wife over the family or community is looked down upon, considered a selfish act. As you said, if a man cannot give a stable family to his kids, then what is the use? He is essentially spoiling the next generation right? Thats why, it should be a partnership. Make your wife, an equal partner in your duties. You should never be in a position to choose her. It is always you and her together against the world!

Yaar, write about Sai too.

What did she ask with Shiddat? Family with Virat?

While I do think she should have let Virat know about her escape after the accident, I strongly feel for her and empathize with her decision. May be I would have done the same! For a mother, nothing comes in front of her child's safety. I would choose my kid over anyone else at any point of time. Sai lost Vinu, she had Savi with her and she lost trust on Virat. If she has any chance to save Savi, it is to stay away from CN and hope that Virat will come and collect her. Virat not coming back, would have assured her that her decision was right. Otherwise she is not the person who will leave her husband just like that. 😭

So yeah please write about Sai's shiddat. I dont think she lost anything. She only got some time off to rewire herself and get prepared to face her crazy husband and his family 🤣

Edited: May be she asked for "Virat's happiness" with Shiddat. But her mistake is to not understand that she is his happiness? Her not returning back to him is the only mistake I can see with her. Though it doesnt look like a mistake at all...to me as I said above. However, it is a mistake in the grand scheme of things...later how things shaped up.

Beautiful Sherry.. don't have anything to add. ❤️

What you can do however, is add the 'V needs to see Sais breakdown' angle for him to change his approach towards her part. It is also linked to his shiddat 😁

I am on board with you on that theory since ages... but probably the wider audience needs to read it 😉
