Well not the exact thoughts that you have shared, but while I was writing this post I had some thoughts on the contrast and parallel between Sai and P.
You have captured the love dimension so nicely while drawing a comparison. And I so agree with it.
My thoughts were on the conduct. Their positions have been swapped, but the situation are seemingly similar. Yet there is such a contrast in how each dealt/deals with it.
It becomes tricky, because we get emotionally attached to the characters. And hence expect the characters to behave in a certain manner. I have felt like shaking up Sai and making her beat the shit out of P. Give her tit for tat in her own coin 🤣. Yet when I'm more composed I look at Sai as Sai and not as me.
Why the conduct? Because it is the by-product of the character, and extension of intent, their heart. That is what it all boils down to right? The intent and the purity of the heart.
Even when Sai was the wife, P ensured that she humiliated Sai and her marriage with V in every possible manner. The only time Sai openly exposed P in public was during DevKit marriage track when she left CN.
Now, P has been taking jabs at Sai every now and then. But Sai only responds with dignity. Her responses never humiliate P. She only does that in her solo conversation with P. Just like the one during the Rangoli argument. Sai spoke the truth. P is insecure that history will repeat and what she did to Sai, Sai will do the same with her. But she never spoke such facts in front of anyone else. She only responds to P directly.
The court case is the best example. While P did this to punish and humiliate Sai and snatch away her career from her, Sai ensured that she maintained the dignity. Not just her own, but P's as well. She was the one who repeatedly asked for the case not to be diverted to personal dynamics.
But it was P who constantly tried to cause damage to Sai and her reputation. Personal and professional.
Sai could have easily questioned why P feels that she removed P's womb on purpose? Because P somewhere feels it was a revenge for surrogacy.
Why does she feel that Sai will snatch her husband? Only because P tried to do the same with Sai.
Why is P married to her BIL (Sai's husband)? because she always wanted to.
If Sai was intent on it, she could have humiliated P and brought out her character and old crimes. But she chose only to protect herself
Despite everything that P did to her and is still doing, Sai only chooses to defend herself. No revenge feeling. In fact she continues to protect P indirectly, while P is digging her own grave.
Coming to V. Sai has been maintaining her boundaries and distance. What Sai told V on Gudi Padwa was similar to what V told P during their conversation after Sai left during DevKit track. It is V who openly confessed his love during Holi. It is V who is seen going after Sai. Yet not once has Sai told P to keep her husband in check. She only responds for herself. Never redirects the accusations towards V. Even in court Sai speaks for herself. That she has nothing to do with V. She could have easily claimed that V crosses his boundaries.
Whereas P on the other hand is indirectly embarrassing V for falling for his ex and trying to have an extra marital with her.
Sai is protecting everyone with that one statement that is only specific to her.
P has always tried to harm Sai. Tried to snatch away everything from her. And she never cared who or what she used to achieve her goal. She used Vinu to separate V-Sai, she is using him to keep V to herself, she threw Pulkit under the bus in her attempt to sue Sai. And all this while Sai has been P's victim.
Sai has only helped P. Despite all that Sai endured due to P, she has only protected and saved her and her reputation.
I spoke about P's desire to have V in whatever capacity. She desired him in parts, of whatever was left or whatever he was willing to spare. But now when she had what she desired, a part of him, she wants the whole of him. How can she get him completely when she desired only a part of him? And when she knows that his heart belongs to Sai?
So who should the universe actually look out for? And who should actually get the boon in its complete form. The one who has selflessly served and quietly endured. The one who holds the pure heart and best intentions.
