Shiddat!
Again, some random thoughts from me! đ They are general views and not episode specific.
Feels weird to initiate a new topic on the forum. Seems like ages nowđ Anyways. Heads up. Nothing you may not know. Just a perspective.
Paulo Coelho had said âAnd, when you want something, all of universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.â
And then our very own SRK said âItni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai. Kehte hain ki agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.â
I will add my two cents to this. âHar yaar dildaar nahi hota aur shiddat se maanga hua hamesha sacha pyaar nahi hotaâ
Shiddat..Pure intensity of a desire that can result in its manifestation. Such is the power of âShiddatâ. And this seems like a universal truth âŚ.letâs say a universal law!
Shiddat se to Raavan ne Shivji se khud unhe hi maang liya tha.
But the question is, whether every desire that gets manifested due to its intensity is truly genuine and worthy of being granted or realized?
The answer to this has been told and retold since times unknown. There have been tales in mythology where the gods had to grant boons to the ones who worshipped them and did intense meditation (kathor tapasya). The gods rendered helpless by the very âShiddat walaâ law of universe. While they had to find anecdotes for those boons, this proves that every boon was never meant to be savoured.
Bhasmasura was granted the boon by Shiva that anyone whose head is touched by Bhasamsuraâs hand will turn to ashes. His arrogance brought about his downfall. Vishnu taking the form of Mohini entices him through dance and eventually while dancing makes him touch his own head with his hand turning him to ashes.
Why take the trouble to grant the wish then? Because the one seeking it needs to be rewarded for their âShiddatâ. The universal rule applies. But whether their desire is right is questionable. Hence, while universe grants the wish it has its own way of delivering it. How, when, where is a puzzle in itself. Sometimes when the desire knocks on our door, we would not even recognize it. Thatâs how different they can be dolled up. Because universe adds its own mix to our desires. We may or may not like this âMock-tailâđ
Nothing comes without a price. Every manifestation has a cost attached to it. It is upon us to choose whether we are willing to pay the price for the realization of that dream. I land up with my dream job, but it requires me to relocate. Am I willing to leave my aging parents to realise that dream. That is the cost universe demands from me. It is a choice Iâm given to seal the deal with the universe.
Bahut gyaan ho gaya na? Letâs get to business
P had a desire. She wanted V. Wanted him at any cost. Shiddat se. Universe had to grant her wish. It had no choice. After all it has to follow its own law right? So after years of waiting, planning and plotting, but with an intense desire to have him eventually, P is granted her wish. Sai and V get separated by destiny and it paves way for P to take the place she always wished for.
But guess what? There are smart folks up there. They read between the lines and trick people with their own desire and wording of their desire. Have you not heard the elders say âthink carefully what you wish forâ. It is just that.
Was Pâs desire well intended and pure? She wanted something that belonged to someone else. She disregarded the feelings of everyone involved and only wanted her wish to come true at the cost of everyone elseâs happiness. Even the one she wished for.
Letâs take a trip down the memory lane to the famousâŚoops! The infamous cafĂŠ scene.
P uses all means and excuses to convince V to leave Sai and take her. She even acknowledges that V loves Sai. What does she plead from him during that entire conversation? To accept her in his life. âJis haal mein rakhoge reh lungiâ. It is not about love. It is only about accepting her in whichever way he can. So that she could own him in return.
Her wish with shiddat was granted. Exactly what she wanted.
She has him to herself. As her husband. But only on paper. He accepted her as his wife in front of the world. There is no questioning that. But is she happy? Nope. Because the wish was granted by the universe wrapped differently. Something that matched what she wished but that didnât fir her liking.
She is now demanding her rights as his wife. Because she is his wife. She wants more.
Love is beyond anyoneâs command and demands. And P never asked for love.
Ironically, even today she is asking him to accept her, as his wife, while she knows he loves Sai. So all she wants is physical gratification and ownership. She wants to capture him physically. She is not asking for love, because she knows she canât have it. So she wants to have him the way she can have him. Or rather the way she understands it. To cage someone, to hold them captive, to chain them so that they canât leave. But she doesnât realise that such a relationship is as hollow as her wish. She is not asking him to love her, but give her the rights as a wife to share a conjugal life. She has been blatantly revealing her desire to claim him physically to everyone. She even ridiculed herself in court. And she realizes none of it. Because she does not even realise what love is, what a marriage. How dead is a marriage where one is demanding physical intimacy knowing well that the other cannot offer love. Such a pathetic state. But who is to blame?
The wish has been granted, and boon has become a curse. Because she used the shiddat law for an evil intention and which caused suffering to many. She got what she desired. Now its time to pay the price. The realisation is yet to strike. Such is the fate of an ill-intended desire with âShiddatâ!
