So finally I watched today's episode - that too on TV because I wanted to pick up the reactions of everyone.
Sai's confusion and Virat's dilemma nicely portrayed today. The first part of Virat's dream was interesting because it clearly showed what he thinks of each of the characters from Team Sai to Team BK. 😃 And as viewers, we can see that he has a clear understanding of each and every member of his family.
And his final answer "bahu banegi" to BK was definitely out of panic that Sai will leave him. Now that both are in love, he just cannot afford to lose her. So he gave that answer.
But what I feel is, he still does not have a plan, bande ne aisa hi kah diya to diffuse the situation. Just like before during Sruthi kaand and recently breaking off ties with Sai with that diya drama, he does not think through a plan before executing. Sadly, Paki is also the same, but in its worst form. Kuch sochte hain aur kar dete hain, koi plan nahin hain ki kaise karna hain. Viru has the same problem, ye tho finally phas jaata hain but Paki gets egg in her face. 😆Thats the only difference.
But that was TILL NOW. Maybe now, things will change, as this is also a stage for him to grow and become Sai ka Pati. And stakes are definitely high. So he cannot afford a single misstep. I assume he will think through this time and come up with a fool proof plan and then execute it. Thats probably what he did today so that he can buy some time.
I know many people are angry with Virat's stand today but my 2 cents -
it is not as easy as we think it is. That too for a character like him, who considers his family and acceptance of Sai by his family to be very important, he cannot take a hasty decision at the mandap. He did the best he could by diffusing the situation and giving hope to BK that she won. But he knows BK well and how he can manipulate her to make her come around. Thats probably the rest of this track with of course a big play on mutual trust between pati and patni.
Its now a new stage in life for them too. To accept each other, to have faith, to support each other's needs and to work in tandem as a team. Their journey has just begun.
Virat is definitely not one who wants to rock the boat. ( I am completely ignoring the post-Sruthi Virat and his ridiculous behaviour to both his family and Sai 🤔)
Being a married woman, I too have come across situations where I dont agree with my in laws but I am a firm believer of not taking "bull by its horns immediately". Though it might be the righteous thing to do, the collateral damage may not be worth the trouble especially when you know your husband is close to his family. So my best option is always either ignore it so that it will diffuse by itself or talk to him and we take a stand together. Because at the end of the day, you need everyone. And believe me, 90 out of 100 times, my in laws have come around to my point eventually. bas thoda sa patience hona chahiye😃.
I know that I sound a little old fashioned but trust me it works. But, in any point of my life did I ever compromise on my self respect or my individuality nor did I give up on anything I wanted to do. So basically it is an art of picking your battles and walking that fine line. Every single thing need not be a confrontation, there are so many other strategies you can choose and finally get what you want.
I would think Virat is that kind of a person. He wants both Sai and his family in his life.
Virat's "I Love You Sai" in the pre cap was so endearing!! Hope to hear more of that. ❤️
PS - why do they have to show close up shot of Paki every 15 seconds, this is so bloody annoying now 😡 and she didnt have a single line to speak. Unprofessional to the core. I seriously wonder what hold she has on the PH to be treated this way.🤔
