I had originally posted this as a reply to Neerja's post, but some people asked me to make it its own post, so here it is! Just my take on SaiRat and where they stand at this point.

There is no end in sight for this stretching, and I really do hope that the makers realize no one is interested in this 4 zindagi thing they are trying so desperately to push. I would be fine if SamRakhi were getting increased screen space as long as SaiRat's screen space was not getting cut in the process. But, in what world do the leads only get a total of 4 minutes of screen space?
In terms of SaiRat- I was very upset that we only got 4 minutes, but I actually loved their scenes. Here is my take:
Sai tells Virat that relationships take time, and they need to be founded on the truth and the trust. Again, her emphasis on the truth is alluding to the fact that she just needs to know what exactly is going on in Virat's mind. She needs to know what happened in the past. She needs the full picture, or else this relationship will never be able to be fully complete.
Sai told Virat once again that Samrat is a great person and she can feel his pain. To me, this was nothing more than Sai relating to Samrat, because they are in the same boat. She knows more than anyone else what it feels like to be the third wheel, especially when you care so deeply about your spouse and want nothing more than for them to choose you. Virat took this to be a jab at him. Again, he isn't able to look past himself or his own emotions. He cannot come out of his own pain to see how Sai is feeling.
Virat sees through Sai trying to get a reaction out of him and tells her that he knows she is doing all of this because she wants to know why he did not tell her about the transfer. He asks her with what right she wants to know all of this and that he has already told her not to interfere in his personal matters. He says that he does not have the strength to engage in this anymore, and that he has pushed all of his emotions deep into his heart. Now nothing anyone does or says will impact him. He wants to be alone. At the end of the episode, he says that he will never forget how Sai made him feel and that he will remember this insult until the day he dies.
To me, it is quite clear what Virat is doing here. He is doing exactly what Sai has been doing this entire time. Up until this point, Sai has had huge walls around her heart, and Virat has left himself entirely vulnerable. Sai has been using the deal marriage to hide her vulnerabilities and protect herself. Her heart has been fully invested in this relationship, but her mind has been using the zimidari to save her from the “reality” of the situation. This marriage was never a deal for Virat in any way, shape, or form. Both his mind and his heart were always fully invested. But, after what happened during the anniversary trip, he is now using the deal to protect himself and cover up his vulnerabilities….his heart will never stop loving Sai, but his mind is reminding him of the “reality” that Sai is nothing more than his zimidari. He says that nothing Sai does will impact him, and yet, the second she turns her back in today’s episode, he starts crying. He cannot control how he feels… and he even sees that his indifference is bothering Sai to a certain extent, hence why he tells her that he sees what she is doing. But, he is too broken and emotionally drained at this point to let his guard down.
Coming to the words “insult” and “beizzati.” Yes, Virat has been insulted and he feels as though Sai has does his beizzati. But, it is quite clear he is not referring to the 2 timing dialogue- in yesterday’s episode, the flashbacks were of Sai screaming about the deal marriage, not about the 2 timing dialogue. Yes, this dialogue is part of it, but the insult he is referring to is in regards to the entire trip as a whole. He had already made up his mind to set Sai free even before the bedroom fight happened. Because, he had already been made painfully aware of what Sai thinks of him through her harsh words. He is insulted that despite all of his love for Sai, she is misunderstanding him. He is insulted that despite what they have been through over the past year, Sai still thinks of this as a deal marriage. He is insulted that in his mind, Sai wants nothing to do with him based on how she reacted to the surprise and then later in the hotel bedroom. Today, when he said he will never forget Sai’s insult, before that, he said that he will never forget how Sai made him feel. This is the key. Is it how all of Sai’s words have made him feel…. Yes, he feels as though he has been insulted, but it is the heartbreak that Sai’s words have caused him to experience that is causing him to behave in this way. His tears, his brokenness, and his expressions have all made this quite clear. He feels as though he has nothing left to give. And on top of all of this, his dialogue with Sunny yesterday made it clear that he also feels responsible for ruining Sai’s life… he is drowning in his own guilt.
For those saying that Virat is acting out of his ego, I can only ask that we keep Rono and Virat separate. Virat has given no indication that he is behaving this way to take some kind of revenge on Sai. In fact, it has been made quite clear that behaving this way is breaking him entirely. But, this is the only way for him to protect his heart at this point. He cannot remain vulnerable when he feels as though Sai will never reciprocate. It has nothing to do with punishing Sai…..
Coming to Sai. People are confused as to why Sai thinks that Virat is behaving this way towards her because of Samrat. People are confused as to why Sai does not understand that this is because of her harsh words during the anniversary fight. Yes, Virat ended all ties with her, and yes, he already told her not to interfere in his personal matters. But, how many times before have these two had such explosive fights and gone almost immediately back to normal? The answer is that this has been happening their entire relationship. Sai has never seen Virat behaving this way, so it is only natural for her to be confused as to why he is acting like this. Isn’t it understandable that she believes this is all because of Samrat? Sai knows how much Virat loves Samrat, and she can understand how Samrat’s rejection of Virat must be impacting him….especially with the past being uncovered. But, Sai does not know how Virat feels about her. So, how is she supposed to immediately put two and two together? She needs time to understand the reason for Virat’s behavior. She does not even have anyone to guide her. Her introspection has already began, but she is not going to realize in this very moment how deeply her words have hurt Virat… because in order to realize that, she needs to first realize how deeply Virat loves her, and how this marriage is the most real thing to him. That is the point of this entire track, so we need to give her time. She is breaking inside. She has no one except Virat. He is what abba used to be to her, and now he is giving her the cold shoulder. The way Ayesha was able to portray this pain was heartbreaking.
I don’t think there is anything about this situation that makes either Sai or Virat wrong or more right than the other. Both of their pain, confusion, and internal turmoils are fully understandable to me….
I won’t comment on the precap until the episode airs…
