So Here Is Chapter 4 For You All😛😛😛
CHAPTER 4
Geet knew that something had changed ever since that incident. Something she could not name or rather she feared to. She could not see Maan in the same way but at the same time aware of his *image*, she clearly knew what kind of a person he was.
Maan could have been the best son one can ask for, the best brother and not to forget the topper in class, but at the same time, he had this cool dude attitude, heartthrob and casanova image of which Geet was clearly aware. Maybe that was one reason which always put Geet off of him. Despite being family friends and having known each other since ever, the chord never stroke between them and they were always ready to pounce on each other like wounded tigers.
Though Geet could never understood why Maan *hated* her, she had a list of reasons for her dislike towards him. But at the same time, she never failed to acknowledge that Maan did have a clean heart, especially when his close ones are concerned. Despite the dislike they had for each other, Maan made sure no one bugged Geet at school because as per him, it was his birth right.
After knowing how Maan had literally been her novel-like *shining armor* while she had been the typical *damsel in distress*, Geet felt that the dislike she had for him slowly started to fade away, gradually being replaced by a new feeling which she could never name. With time, she realised that maybe she had started falling for him. No wonder, she would feel jitters going through her nerves and her heart beating fast whenever she would find herself in close proximity with him.
Her happiness knew no bounds when Maan himself confessed to her few days later. She simply wanted to crush him into a hug and respond to him positively. If only she had not caught sight of his friends who were secretly hooting for him. At that moment, nothing came into her mind except the fact that maybe he was making her his prey just like those other girls.
She simply gave him a tight slap reminding him of his *image* and what he means to her which was, nothing at all. She was deeply hurt having talked to him like that and at times she even used to wonder whether she had acted rationally or had just assumed things. She remember having seen a hurt expression on his face, but she shrugged it off telling himself that boys of his kind, can only hurt others and can never be hurt.
Over the next months, as she kept track of him secretly, she wondered whether she had been wrong that day. Maan indeed seemed like a changed person, but who knows maybe it was just a facade to convince her otherwise since his ego might have been hurt as it was the first time Mr Khurana had been rejected and not vice-versa. She felt the urge to ask him many times and even apologise but she could never muster the courage. What if she had really been wrong in judging him?
Being family friends, they kept crossing each others' paths often. Geet always tried her best to avoid him but Maan being Maan kept bugging her all the time with his *pyaar jaap*, which irritated Geet as much as she loved hearing it from him.
She was happy because despite everything, she could never stop loving him. But at the same time, she could never bring herself to trust him for what he tells her, because somewhere the fear of being *used* lingered in her.
That was why she was totally against the idea of staying at KM when her parents had to go abroad for her mom's sake. She knew, living in the same house as him, he would not leave her in peace and she feared whether she would give in.
And to her misfortune, she was left to live with Vicky and Maan when the others had to attend a wedding. Geet cursed her *phooti kismat* on knowing this because she knew that Maan would not leave her alone now and she was right.
With Vicky out and Maan home early, she had no escape. She was very with him, and that too alone.
When Maan kissed her, she had to admit to herself that she felt as if she was in bliss. No wonder, she had been equally responsive. Well she loved him, so she didn't hesitate in pouring out her feelings despite her mind being in denial.
When Maan's sudden outburst and confession followed, Geet was taken aback. The sincerity and honesty with which he had put forward his *dil ki baat* left Geet with no doubt that Maan was indeed a changed person. Maybe, that day he really meant all he had said. She started wondering what if she reciprocated his feelings to him that day itself. They would not have had to undergo all these, at least, she would not have had to live with these misconceptions.
As these thoughts crossed her mind, Geet couldn't help but let them flow in the form of tears.

Fearing a negative answer, yet again, Maan kept looking at Geet intently after he asked her that question.
He really didn't want to face rejection once again but at the same time, he promised himself that it would be the last time he would ask her.
He could see her lost in her thoughts. He wondered what was she thinking. Could she possibly be thinking of giving him a chance. He already started rejoicing inwardly when he caught sight of tears flowing from her gold-fish like eyes as he always used to remark.
Reaching out to wipe her tears, Maan asked in a concerned voice:
"What happened Geet? Why are you crying??? I'm sorry if I have hurt you with my behaviour, but please don't cry. Acha, theek hain, you do not want to answer, then don't. I can wait for it forever but please aise rona mat, mujhse bardassht nahi hota."
"Don't embarrass me by apologizing over and over again Maan," Geet replied in a choked voice.
Clearly confused by her reply, Maan gave her a bewildered look.
"I always misunderstood you Maan. Even though you changed yourself, for me, I could never trust you. Even though my heart was reluctant, my mind always stayed in denial, I could never bring myself to trust your changed self. Mujhe har waqt laga ke tum mere saath yeh sab jaan boojh ke kehte ho, mera mazaaq banane ke liye, to insult me for that slap."
Geet stood up and looked away from him as she saw the hurt expression on his face.
Maan knew what Geet always thought about him, nevertheless it hurt him to hear it from her.
"Ek Baat kahoon Maan, since the day you saved me, I never thought of you as the Maan I used to despise," Geet continued leaving Maan with a shocked expression.
Matlab, she also...but why she never told me, Maan thought.
"I know you might be thinking why I never told you anything, but the truth be told, I never could muster any courage. I feared whether you would treat me as those skimpy girls who used to hover around you like bees."
"Geet, yeh tum..."
"C'mon Maan, we both know it very well. You were a charmer back then and you still are, no need to deny," Geet tried to lighten the atmosphere causing Maan to muffle a giggle.
"When I finally decided to tell you, that very day, you told me in the locker room that you love me. Pehle toh, I was really happy and inwardly jumping in joy thinking that at least my love would not be one-sided. But then, when I saw your friends cheering for you, I asked myself whether it was not any silly prank of your gang yet again. Not wanting to hurt myself and fall in your *trap* maine tumhe woh sab khari khoti baatein sunaayi when I never wanted to bring that phase of your life up. But I couldn't control my emotions at that moment and told you off," said Geet as she closed her eyes in pain.
Making her face him, Maan held her by her shoulders.
"Geet, I understand why you felt like that but trust me, I really meant each and every word I had told you that day and my feelings for you never changed since that day, maybe my love for you increased with time, but I swear it has always been you in my mind and heart all the time, Geet, I really do. I looked up to no one but you. And why would I , when I already had the image of the world's most beautiful girl imprinted in my heart" Maan finished off only to have Geet look up at him.
Geet could once again those same jitters in her tummy as Maan said all those things. She now knew what she had to do or rather what she had to say. There was no denial, no reluctance, no fear to confess honestly and truly, with pride, what she felt in her heart. She knew this confession of hers would bind them closer forever.
"Maan, ek aur baat kahoon?" Geet asked him.
Receiving a positive nod from him, Geet asked him in one go.
"Maan, yeh mat sochna, ke what am gonna tell you is in the spur of the moment. Yeh baat toh mujhe actually bahut pehle keh dena chahie tha."
Maan could feel his heartbeat rising. He probably knew what was coming next yet he felt strange because it was all unexpected for him.
The next moment, the sight he caught before him took him by surprise.
There was Geet, on her knees on front of him, looking up to him with her right hand reaching his.
"I love you too Maan, not just because of what you said today. I admit that all that happened between us did trigger this reaction and confession on my part, but truth be told is that I have been loving you since long."
Maan got two *jhatkas* in one go. First was that Geet was on her knees expressing his love for him and secondly she admitted having loved him since long. And as if that was not enough, what came next, had Maan's happiness knowing no bounds.
"Will you be mine, Maan? Forever?"
