The Myth

The test of a true myth is that each time u return to it , new insights and interpretations arise.

A saying Or belief Or fact Or superstition Or Myth ... these words play an important part in ppl's life ,, many blindly believe or live their lives on some belief nd myths ,, from d time of d bith of a child to till his/her end some belief never left them ,, those ppl trust a priest who himself a human being nd it's also said that human is a bundle of mistakes ,, then how cn a priest be trusted blindly ? Does a priest's words r more important than an innocent child ? If yes then where is humanity , love , care nd family bonding ? Where r relations nd their warmth ? Where is Truth nd Reality ?

Geet tried to get some glimpse of Maan but she didn't get in that week ,, disappointed she thought to cross his path in college ,, it was her 1^st day in college ,, she called Adi got few info nd then get ready to step out ,, that day Kabir insisted to drop her before going to his hsptl ,, now in these days of her stay In Canada her wardrobe had changed ,, she wore suit in home but when go out she started wearing jeans , shirts nd tees ,, for her college too she wore jeans nd shirt ,, open curls nd minimal touch of make up ,, she was looking very smart ,, daimaa put a kajal teeka behind her ear nd Geet rolled her eyes not believing in these things .

Geet: Daijaan , kya aap bhi ,, mujhe jo nazar lagni thi lag gai ,, ab in sab baton per trust kerna chod do .

Daima: chup ker .. tum matt mano , per mere dil ko tasalli kerne do .

Geet: Ok , fine , kuch aur baki hei ?

Daimaa: nahi bas jao,, aur apne dhyaan rakhna ,, theek se lunch kerna , ulte seedhe bacchon se dur rahana.. ...( Kabir chuckled nd so geet)

Geet: sath chalo college nahi play school ja rahi hu .

Daima: wo nai jagah hi na to badi...

Geet: Daijaan 2 bar ho aai hu college .. yahan kuch darr nahi ,sab higher studies ke liye aaty hein time pass ke liye nahi.

Kabir: Geet is right Farida , take it easy ,, daro nahi .

Daimaa: fir bhi ,, beta dhyaan rakhna apna .

Geet: OK , ab mai jau..?

Daimaa nodded ,, Kabir nd Geet settled in car nd moved on ,, praying to God Daimaa came in nd got busy in work .

Kabir dropped Geet at college gate instructing her too nd bade bye , Geet went in looking all around ,, she reached in her wing , today they all had to gather in assembly hall for gen intro with prof , Srs nd course mates ,, many Srs nd Jrs wr already there nd talking to each other .

Adi saw Geet nd called her , they wr in 2^nd row ,, she reached there nd Adi introduced her with few students who wr there ,, there was an Ind girl too Pinky ,, who was Adi's friend nd she was from mrktng ,, all wr wished each other ,, students wr coming slowly ,, Geet was looking all around but she didn't found that face which she want to see .

She was sitting nd talking with srs nd then she heard a voice from behind who called Priyanka (pinky) ,, Pinky welcomed him.

Pinky: hi GM mr Maanveer singh Khurana ,, quiet big name ( she giggled nd that named startled Geet ,, a girl too wished pinky) .

Maan: hi GM , yes but u cn call me MK

Pinky: that's good , thanks ,, so settled in Canada nd enjoyed ,, u came very early .

Maan: yes ,, we enjoyed a lot before study pressure .

Geet was listening quietly ,, her back was facing them nd she boosting herself to look at him .

Pinky : lets go I will introduce u to ur course mates nd Srs ,, they wr that side .

Pinky excused nd went back in her stream's grp ,, then Geet looked back with thudding heart but she was able to see only their backs ,, that grp was lil away from hers ,, then d profs started coming with dean ,, all quietly took their seats nd formal intro started ,, it lasts for an hr nd then all started to move their respective classrooms there was a welcome party for fresher after classes .

All gathered in the lawn ,, d in-charge of whole Srs team welcome all d freshers ,, talked about their experiences of last yr when they wr Jrs ,, insisted freshers to came nd call for help any time to their respective team leader ,, students started mingling with each others ,, d students from same country became more familiar ,, Maan nd sam too met with sr nd jr ind students ,, Geet was with Adi bcoz he was her team leader ,, she met with her team nd then to other sr students of her streams ,, she was scanning in d crowd to get a look of most desiring person ...MSK ,, she was eager to to see his reaction after seeing her there ,, after some time Pinky brought her team there to introduced them Adi's team .

Pinky : hey guys nd gals enjoying d party ,, Adi u forgot me after getting a frnd from ur pind , very bad .

Adi: no dear how cn I , so this is ur team , welcome friends .. all started shaking hands with their intro ,, Geet was quietly watching Him , today he was smiling with whole heartt ,, seems he was very happy here ,, they wr 5 in pinky's team 2 girls nd 3 boys ,, it was Maan who gave his intro shaking his hand with Adi .

Maan : Hi everybody myself Maan veer singh Khurana from Ind , u cn call me MSK ,nd this is sameera reddy my girlfriend nd course mate too .

Sam: hi everybody , nice to meet u .

Both started shaking hands with each other , but Geet was frozen at her place ,, d words my GF nd coursemate wr ringing in her ear ,, she was staring at them shocked ,, there was only one thought in her mind that he is here with his GF ,, her whole started burning in anger nd insult ,, when he came near her to shake hands she didn't forward her hands but folded in a namasty with cold expressions ,, he rolled his eyes even sam too nd then folded his hands too for a namasty form .

Maan: Indian , cool .. Namasty , ur good name plzz .

Geet was stunned that why he was not recognizing her , or he was pretending nd ignoring in front of his GF nd all .

Geet: yes Indian , I m Geet .. Geet singh from punjab .

Sam: wow!! Its good for u ,, here in Canada u cn find a mini Punjab .

Geet didn't reply sam, she was trying to get Maan's behaviour , who was reacting that he didn't know her at all ... Why?

They moved to meet with next students nd an another student forwarded her hand to meet Geet ,, Geet was meeting nd replying to all but her eyes wr at Maan .

There was not a single sign at Maan's face that he recognized her , he was meeting nd talking with all students unaffected like she was nothing for her nd he didn't see her before ,, this was really a shock for Geet nd that's why she didn't tell him her whole name .. Geetika Singh Handa Or Khurana .

It was very insulting for Geet , d person who married her nd even spent a night with her showing that he didn't know her ,, then she thought that it cn be possible ,, may be he was trying to show unaffected in front of all nd his GF ,, she(geet) was also pretending , but it hurt her deep ,, his hand in his GF's waist or in her hand was burning her .. how mean he is ? Geet didn't like to stay there any more ,, it was going unbearable nd insulted for her , but now she had to get more about him nd his so called GF ,, her eyes wr following them ,,, at last when they took leave to go Geet too called Adi to inform that she was leaving for home,, Geet followed them keeping a fair distance ,, Maan nd Sam walked for few mnt ,, few more students also coming on that way ,,she hired d same bus ,, Maan nd Sam saw her but Geet went back quietly without giving them a look ,, their destination was same ,, both wr sitting together nd Geet was watching them from back .

she was shocked seeing that his GF accompanied him ,, she didn't go to hostel ,, now Geet started suspecting nd her doubt turned right when both got down at d stop ,, Geet followed , but she was walking slowly to maintain a distance nd when both turned in d same lane ,, Geet got a blow,, after few steps they entered in d house which Maan had hired ,, Geet very slowly reached to her home ,, that small distance became very long for her to cover ,, d truth that he was living with his GF broke her ,, rejecting her after using her like a tissue now he was enjoying with his GF , even not recognizing her ... it's so insulting nd disgusting .
