The Lost Song

Chapter 1

"Dadi maa" Maan looked at his Dadi maa Mrs.Savithri Khurana, who looked old yet she was elegant and bold, her confidence was fully seen on her face, "What is it Maan," she asked as she turned around too look at Maan, who stood there looking down, though he was known for his roaring hard angry attitude everywhere, he was still the same old Maan for Savitri Khurana,

"Dadi maa, please, listen to me once, please," Maan said with his bold yet pleading tone, "Maan if it's about Sana, forget it Maan, we already talked about it and my decision is final," Dadi maa said, "Please Dadi maa, she is just a kid, and hotel, that too in Shimla, Dadi maa please, let her be here for atleast another five to six years, and let her grow up," Maan said and Dadi maa looked at him,

"Maan if she is her, you will not let her grow up, she had to be kept away from here, you are spoiling her keeping inside your hands, she can't be an kid forever Maan, it's not good, " Dadi maa said and Maan let out a breathe, "But still she is so young, she is still having nightmare about," Maan shook his head and turned around, "About her First one year", Dadi maa went and held his hands, "Maan, that's why I am saying this, she is having nightmare because her mind is still filled only with some horrible memories,"

"She had to forget it Maan, while she is young and still a kid, she should not remember those things, Maan we have to do it, take away those memories from her mind and that can't be done when she is here, she had to be kept away, away from you, you are also a remind of her horrible memory Maan. And she is not going somewhere away from our watch, she is going to the our school, and I am sure she will be fine, if she had any difficult than we will bring her back,"

Maan had nothing to say and he knew it's impossible to change Dadi maa's decision, and he turned silence, "Maan, and it's for your good too, Five year's Maan, Five years, you had been arresting yourself inside this mansion, in her room, in this five year you had attended only ten meetings and never gone anywhere from here, nor spoke with anyone, and I still don't know what happened," Dadi maa said broken down and Maan looked at her helplessly,

"I will not ask you what happened, but I can't take it anymore, I am scared for you, your life, I had lost too many people in my life, not you too Maan," she said as her tears running down her eyes, "Dadi maa, please, please, don't cry" Maan said unbearable to see her like this, "Ok, Ok, I will do as you say and yes Sana can go to Shimla, please, don't cry," Maan said and Dadi maa looked at him,

"Maan, I am not doing this to hurt your feelings, I am doing this for your happiness and for Sana's happiness, she is my Grand Daughter, My Blood line, do you think I could decide something bad for her life," Dadi maa asked and Maan nodded a no, "Good, now go and help her get ready," Dadi maa said, and Maan nodded and went out, "Nakul, where is Sana?" He asked backing himself to his bossy attitude,

"In the Garden Sir," Nakul said and Maan nodded and went towards the garden, she was standing near the fountain, "Sana," Maan's voice made her turn around and look at him with her sharp look, "Looks like she is upset," Maan thought as he went towards her, "hey, what are you doing," he asked and she still looked him with her angry gaze, "Did Dadi maa said anything to you," Maan asked slowly,

Sana Nodded her head a yes and Maan made her to sit down near the fountain, "it's for your own good, but one thing, if you don't like there, just call me ok, I will come and get you," Maan said and Sana smiled again, "Papa, I will not come even if I don't like there," she said and Maan looked at her shocked, "you always told me, if you find something wrong where you are living, then you have to make it right for you, instead of running from there as there is not place called a "perfect place" only we have to make it perfect,"

Maan looked at the smart little kid before him, "you have grown up too fast, Sana, I am so proud of you, and I am sure, you will take care of yourself, now, go and get ready," Maan said and she smiled and rushed towards the house, leaving Maan stand in the garden, "everything is changed Geet, except my mind, why Geet, why did you do that to me, what did I do except loving you more than my life, why did you break my heart, I will not forgive you for this Geet, I will not" Maan thought his heart felt the same pain which he felt five years before, still feeling fresh,

Geet was in her bed, when Jay came up, "Geet, come on, get up and eat something," he said as he walked in and sat on the bed, "Please don't compel me," Geet said as she looked at him, "Please, for my sake, please Geet," He pleaded and Geet took a beep breathe and singed and got up and rolled down from her bed and so Jay too jumped from the bed and smiled big, "That's my girl,"

As Jay walked Geet to the Dining hall, they heard the door bell, and Geet looked at him, "I will go," Jay said and went away, Geet looked at Jay, who was her best friend and who always stood for her and been for her, and these five year he turned everything for her, her protector, her caretaker, consoling her, compelling her, doing everything to make her smile, even in her difficult time she felt blessed because of him,

Jay opened the door and stood there shocked as he couldn't believe who is standing before him, "Breej?" Jay asked shocked, "Can I come in," the Breej asked and Jay nodded a yes, "Is Geet here," Breej asked, "I guess you know that and that's why you came here," Jay said with a sadistic grin, "who is it Jay," Geet asked as he came into the hall and found Breej standing with Jay,

"Hello Geet," He said provoking Geet's anger, "Get out, now," Geet shouted big, "Geet listen to me," he said, "leave me alone, please, I don't want to hear anything, please, please," Geet said starting to cry, "Breej, I think you have to leave now, please," Jay said looking at Breej, "who the hell are you to speak on her behalf," Breej yelled at Jay, "He have all the rights," Geet snapped back, and then Breej noticed something,

"Geet, you are married, when, whom," he said and stopped and looked at Jay, "You married him," Breej asked shocked, "do you have any problem in that," Jay raised his voice now, "No, No Geet can't let anyone in her life, she won't, she will not give her love to anyone except Maan," Breej thought and stood blank, "please now will you get out of my life and atleast now, let us leave a peaceful life, please," Geet said with her tears hanging in her eyes,

"Geet, listen I had nothing to do with what happened on that day or with Maan Singh Khurana," Breej said and the name alone made her broken down and she wasn't able to look at him as it reminded her of Maan and ran away from that place as Maan's face came to her mind, "Geet," Breej called from behind, "Breej for final time I am saying,. Leave her alone, now let her live her own life, you and your guys stay away from her, atleast this much you could do for her, I guess" Jay said,

"Ok, Ok, but remember, she is always welcomed at our place, and we will not come for her unless she contacts us," Breej said and went away, Geet heard their talk from inside her room and slowly come from her room crying up, and jay looked at her, "Enough Geet, enough, how long will you cry, tell me Geet, how long," Jay yelled looking at her pitiful state, "as long as Maan forgives me, which will never happen, so as long as I live," she thought as she looked at Jay,

"Forget it Geet, this is your life now, and tomorrow onwards I am gonna search a job for you, and I know you will get one soon, and that it, you, me, your job, your world, this is it, no past will come up, no past, don't let it haunt you," Jay said and Geet looked at him, she can't say no to him so she nodded a yes, "Geet, it's for your own good, forget it, what so happened is happened, it can't be changed, so no use in worrying,"

"Maan is not coming back, he is not, and I am not going away from you, I am here and I will be here, this is the reality Geet, understand it, try to accept it" Jay said as he held her hands in his, "Life doesn't stop Geet, it goes on, it has to, you know that, this is not the first lose in your life, you had overcome it once and you can do now too, be strong," Jay said and went away,

"Yes, I had overcome it once, because Maan was there with me, and now," she thought and went inside her room, and locked the door and went and opened her cupboard and took Maan's photo which was hidden inside her dress, and looked at his photo, "Maan, for once, forgive me, please, I will die the very minute, but forgive me first, I didn't do that Maan, I didn't," Geet said crying leaning on to the cupboard...

Good story in this chapter...&would like to read how their seperation came about&Sana's bonding with Maan&Geet.😊

The Lost Song
Chapter 2

Maan was getting ready for his office after a long time, he hated to go to the office, which was once his heaven, his love, his everything, but now, it would give only pain to him, "Damn it," Maan thought as he looked himself at the mirror, "That place is filled with her memories, her voice, her smile, her laughter, her tears, her aroma, her shadow, how will I ever be," Maan thought for a minute and got irritated and removed his tie and throw away,

"She made my life a living hell, Geet, why couldn't I forget you even for a second, why," Maan said and sat on the couch, and took a deep breath, "I had to do it for Dadi maa, she is worried about me, I had to do it for her," Maan thought, and remembered his promise he gave to his Dada ji Mr.Shivaji Khurana, "Maan, promise me, that you will take care of the business, of the family, and be an perfect Khurana," he asked as he held Young Maan's hands, and Maan nodded a big yes with tear running down his cheeks, "Maan, be strong, for your family, I have faith in you Maan, Maan Singh Khurana,"

His last words echoed up, I can't let my Dada ji's faith die for this silly girl, Maan thought and stood up and wore his tie back and got ready for the office,

Geet was sitting in her room, when Jay entered, "Geet," his voice made him to turn around, "Geet, I had made the Resume and also got the application form from the job consultancy company, just fill the forms and see whether the resume is ok, I will be right back" Jay said as he kept the files before her and went away, Geet looked at the files and saw the application, something from her past came before her eyes,

Her first time, filling an Khurana Application for secretary job, she was excited at that time, not knowing what's waiting for her, Geet shook her head to get the memories away and she looked at the forms, I can't do it, Geet said as her mind played her happy times and hard times in Khurana Concern and with Maan, why am I getting the punishment for what I haven't done, I won't say I am innocent but,

Geet thought got disturbed by Jay, "Geet, what happened," Jay asked and she looked at him, "ok, I will fill the forms for you," Jay said and started filling the forms, "Hmmm, preferred location," he said while thinking, "Anywhere except Delhi," Geet said interfering his thoughts and he nodded and wrote Mumbai, Ok finished, now I will post it on the way to my office, hope to get some good news soon,"

Jay got ready and took the files and started towards the office, "Geet take care, and please have your lunch, ok, bye, see you in the evening dear" he said and gave her a quick hug and went away with a smiled, Geet looked at him rushing out to his car and moving on, and Geet went inside and locked her door, Jay drove fast and forgot to notice the red hero bike following him, Jay stopped at the Job Consultancy office and the red hero bike stopped a few yards away,

Jay got down from his car with an large envelope and put it inside the mail box hanging before the gate of that office and went away in his car, after he left the spot and the Red hero bike came and stopped before the mail box and the biker who was wearing an red helmet got down and went near the mail box, it was closed with small lock on it, and the biker looked around, and saw an watchman,

"Hello bhai saab," the Biker called, and the watchman came rushing to him, "o, actually I had put an wrong envelope in it, I need it now, can you open the box and give it to me now" the Biker asked, "no sir, I can't do like that, anyways call to the manager of this office and they will return back to you, but I can't give it to you" he said refusing,

"No, No I need that envelope now, it's important, see here," the biker said as he showed a few thousands in his hands, "please," he asked and the watchman nodded an ok, and went in and came with a key, and opened the box, "which one," he asked and the biker saw inside the box and found the envelope jay put in and took it, "This one, Thank you," The biker said and gave the money to the watchman and went away and sat on his bike,

"Geet, you will now, go to the place, where I want you to go, I had been waiting for this opportunity for five year," he said and laughed and went away.

Khurana Office was so active after a long time, though Maan haven't been in the office for a long time, his already created fame and fury was still fresh, everyone was running here and there setting everything right, some felt scared, some felt nervous, some felt exited to see him after a long time, and some felt confused, everyone had many question except they had no guts to ask,

"what happened before five years was an suspense for many, first Sasha n Tasha disappearing, then Geet's disappearance, when everyone was thinking that Maan n Geet are in love, and Maan keep a low profiled contact with the office, Many were confused,

Adi, Maan's Finance Manager cum controlling authority of the office when Maan was out was the only person who was so happy and jumping with joy, and he was looking at the clock again n again expecting Maan, and as the clock hit 9.30, Adi rushed outside and saw his whole office standing ready, and everyone was looking at the entrance,

Then the lifted opened, Maan entered with his same old fashion, his roaring hunger lion look, the anger in his big eyes, the stiffens in his figure and the tornado speed in his walk, he swept off the office floor with his storm walk and entered in to the cabin without even looking at the office staffs who wished him, and Adi followed Maan into his cabin, "Good morning Maan sir," he said, and Maan nodded,

"Sir, here is the files and document, of all the projects we had in Five years sir," he submitted, "Adi, I am not here to check or doubt your work," Maan said and Stood up and Adi got scared, thinking whether he got Maan upset, "Sorry Sir, I didn't mean that why, I just thought you would like to take a look, that's all sir, I am sorry," Adi said looking down with his shaky voice,

"Adi, you," Maan started but stopped himself and took a deep breath, "Just tell me our finance status and stock market details," Maan asked, "Sir, our Finance is doing well sir, our profit margin had been in hike sir, and our shares too are moving high and though our construction business doesn't show a big hike, our other business like show business, cement and steel business and oil and gas concerns are doing a great work sir,"

Adi said the reports so proudly, "everything is going well sir, and the Mumbai minister called again sir, he wanted you to handle his plant construction personally in Mumbai sir and he is so strong in that thing sir," Adi said, and Maan nodded, "He said he had arranged for you to stay there still the work over, he said he will even create an office space with some new staffs too, to help you, and said he will do anything but he wants you to do it," Adi said,

"Bring me that project details, will decided after seeing it" Maan said and Adi nodded and went away, Maan looked around, and he saw cabin where Geet used to sitting at staring at him and smile, he immediately looked away, and he saw the flower vase which she used to fill with roses every day, Maan shook his head and rolled his chair away and saw the door, which remember him, how Geet used to hit on the door every time, and how Maan use to open the door for her, and her silly smile at him, Maan closed his eyes trying to get those images out,

Maan felt frustrated, "May I came in sir," Adi said as he came with the files, "Sir," Adi started but Maan stopped him, "Tell him that I am coming to Mumbai tomorrow, and will look after the business myself," Maan said surprising Adi, "it's better to get out of this office, some way or another and anyways Sana too had gone to the hostel, then why should I be here," Maan thought, Adi looked at Maan's sudden change and nodded an ok,

"I will go and pack my things today even, send me the files related to that project to my house," Maan said and went away from the office without another word,
