EPILOGUE

*Maan's POV*

I was sitting in front of the OT from where Geet is being kept for delivery. More than nervous i was excited. Something inside me told me that they both will be safe. I have faced enough and my life cannot be hit with turmoil again, god cannot be that heartless. He will give me my Geet and baby safely, i was sure. Just the thought of seeing my baby within few minutes brought a smile in my face.

"Aren't you supposed to be pacing here all tensed?" Aarav asked placing a coffee cup in my hand

"Why? I am enjoying the moments waiting for my baby " i said

"You love the feeling of being a father right?" Aarav asked

"Definitely, its indescribable" i said

"You know now after around 10 months of seeing both together i feel at last i should believe in soulmates' " Aarav said

I turned to look at him sipping my coffee.

" You and Geet, i mean you two are just Wow " he said

" I don't know about soulmates but like God hanuman if you tear my heart you could see Geet " i said

"Man you are so whipped " Arnav said laughing bumping my shoulders.

That is when the doctor came out with a huge grin.

"Congrats its a boy " she announced

Oh!! God is so merciful. I gave Aarav a quick hug and told doctor how greatful i am to her.

" You can meet them both in 10 minutes " she said

Those 10 minutes were probably the longest in my life. Aarav went out to call everyone informing the good news. I patiently waited until a nurse allowed me in. I went inside the room with fast steady steps. The sight before just swept me. Geet was holding the little one close to her body admiring him. As i entered the room she looked at me and smiled. i could tell she was exhausted but well she must be as happy as i am.

I reached the bed and peeped to look at the most beautiful baby in the world. He had delicate features and was a mixture of pink and fair complexion. I couldn't be more than happy to see that he shares his mom's eye color. Geet forwarded the baby to me and with utter care i held my life in my arms.

"Seems like you won" she said

I looked at her beaming.

"But i am glad. He looks so cute " she said touching his ear with her little finger making him smile a little.

I didn't know what to tell. I was at loss of words. This is something i never expected to happen in my life. It all felt like a dream. I kept looking at my son proudly until interrupted by Aarav.

"Do i get to see him at all?" he complained walking towards me.

I changed the position better for Aarav's view.

"Now now you dad i can carry your son " Aarav joked

I was too concerned to let him go off my hand. I looked at Geet who smiled and shook her head in disbelief.

"Dude let me hold him go attend your love " Aarav said getting my son from my hand.

While Aarav was admiring the bundle of joy i sat beside Geet at the edge of the bed. I caressed her hair and kissed her forehead.

"Thank you " i said

" Thank you to you too. I never imagined my life to be so perfect " she said

"can i take a picture to send to dad ?" Aarav asked

"no " i said before Geet answered.

They both looked at me questioningly

"I want to take his first picture" i said sheepily making both laugh.

Later when i entered the room buying medicines for Geet and Aarav has gone to pick his parents i was blessed with the sight of Geet feeding my son. With admiration i kept looking at them when Geet gestured me to sit beside her.

" I am glad to see you so happy " she said

" its because of you " i said

As if the toddler understood what i said he placed a light kick on my chest while i was hugging his mother in my embrace.

"oops... Its because of you too champ " i said laughing.

" i am sure he will love you very much " she said

"i hope Geet " i said

" he will Maan " she assured kissing my lips lightly

"You know why i wanted a son? Because i wanted to treat him the way i wasn't treated in my childhood, the way i longed to be loved. I want him to experience everything that a little boy craves for. I want to give him the love that his father didn't have in childhood. One day i want him to be proud of his father" i said

Geet looked at me with a teary smile.

"He will " she said

I smiled looking at my son who gave a toothless smile.

"i promise to keep that smile alive forever " i said touching his chin.

*Geet's POV*

I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked perfect. Like the way i wanted to look on my wedding. Contented i turned around and smiled at Natasha, Aarav's fiance. Aarav brought her home when Samrat was two months old and i immediately picked a liking towards her. Now after 11 months she is Aarav's fiance and my best friend.

"you look perfect " she said

" I better because it took me a week to find a perfect dress " i said

Maan asked me to marry him in a romantic way three days after our son samrat was born. I accepted immediately but well i wanted to wait at least till samrat was a year old so that i will be enjoying my wedding day. It wouldn't have affected my life in any way as for past two years i am living with Maan but i wanted to be a bit stress free on wedding. Maan was okay with it as marriage will not change anything between us but my surname. We were already like a perfect married couple' as Aarav like to call.

I picked my phone to call my groom. It was half an hour more before we could meet.

" missing me already ?" Maan asked

" missing you one percent more than you miss me " i said

" well i could come there in two minutes " Maan said

" but you ..." before i could complete my sentence i heard samrat screaming from the behind.

Maan took it in him to take care of samrat the whole week when i get ready for the wedding.

"Why is he shouting ?" i asked worried.

Maan is amazing father but i can't deny that at times it gets a bit difficult to handle Samrat specially while feeding him.

" Didn't he have food?" i asked

" He did Geet and also milk " Maan said

"I still need to learn how you feed him so easily when it takes me at least two hours " i said

"that is secret between men of the house" Maan said

"whatever... so why is my son screaming Mr.Khuranna ?" i asked

" He wants to meet you " Maan said sighing

" awww. Put him on line " i said

"Mumma " i heard a delighted voice

"hello baby " i said

" sam wants mumma " he said and i am sure he was pouting

" baby should be a good boy mumma is gonna meet baby in a minute so for be a good boy and don't trouble papa " i said

" papa said no chocolate " he complained

I heard Maan from the background saying lie'. I smiled to myself

"Ok baby mumma will get you chocolates " i said as blew a kiss.

I was escorted to mandap where Maan was already present performing some pooja and sam was sitting on his lap. Both father and son smiled widely seeing me. As i sat beside Maan samrat tried to come to me but Maan whispered something making me stay in the same place.

After god knows how many minutes i felt Maan's fingers adoring my forehead with sindoor and we took seven rounds around fire.

"It feels great to be married finally " Maan whispered once all rituals were over.

" And now i have lisence to torture you " i said making him laugh.

THREE YEARS LATER

I looked at the new baby with awe. Of course i remember how samrat looked when he was just minute sold but seeing a girl child is different. She looked more cute.

" I love her already " i said looking at her exhausted mother Natasha and proud father Aarav.

" Mumma she is so small " Samrat said standing beside me while i was holding the baby in my arms.

"you were also of same size baby " i said

"how cool na mumma can we take the baby home?" he asked

" baby goes home with Aarav uncle we can visit them whenever we want " i said

Samrat's face fell. But he didn't press on the matter further.

Once we reached home unusually samrat rushed to call Maan. Maan was busy dealing with something important and promised us that he will go to hospital tomorrow again with us.

"papa " samrat said all so cheerfully

I eagerly listened to the conversation.

" Papa i want a baby in our house. Aarav uncle said i should ask you " samrat said

My eyes widened in surprise. So this is what they were discussing on ride back home when Aarav came to drop us.

After another two minutes of promises how good he will behave when he gets a baby sister samrat gave me the phone and ran to his room singing.

"So mrs.khuranna your son has placed a wish " Maan said in a teasing tone.

" so how are you gonna make it work Mr.Khuranna ?" i asked

" how does next Sunday sounds for a romantic trip?" he asked

"anytime " i beamed.

"love you Geet " he said laughing

"love you too " i said

I couldn't help but smile like a fool the whole day thinking about our conversation. How excited i am still about his love. My life always filled with happiness and i am sure it will be the same in future.
