Okay guys,

I couldn't resist so decided to give you guys an update. Think of this as my little treat for being so patient with me the past few weeks!!!!

This fan fic will be sad and painful so avoid this now if you don't like sad fan fics. This will be all about Geet and her journey and very VERY VERY VERY mysterious!!!! So don't expect me to reveal everything so soon...😆 Think of this as our slow poision!

Chapter 1

Past Memories

"Am not a good guy. I...uhh...killed someone by accident before. He will come Geet, he will come to take revenge. Wait for him, I know no matter where you are he will come and find you. Am sorry."

Geet wakes up from her past nightmare. She wasn't scared nor feared who might come looking for her one day or the other. She knew what she had to do when he comes or rather if he comes. It has been five years since he told her what he did and since then she has been waiting for that mysterious person to show up. Geet stands near the backyard door, feeling the cold warm air as it hits her body.

She takes out a cigarette smoking it while looking at the sky rethinking of her life. How she used to be and now what she has become. Everything is different even this house that has so much of her past, her pain, her nightmare seems different. Of course, her past didn't bother her anymore, the pain and nightmare associated with this house only made her stronger. This house was her another poison of life that she embraced.

Her life was dark like this night. People see sunrise and greet everyday with happiness but she greets her mornings with sadness and pain. Pain to be here alone again. Pain of having her past attached to her soul and heart forever. Pain of not being able to do anything but live on like a zombie. A pain that changed her forever.There was no one in her life not that she needed anyone. She hated everyone who was in her past especially her father. She didn't give a crap of anyone only herself and her daughter, Aanimah.

Kora comes and sits near Geet on the floor. She puts her head on Geet's lap both looking out the door into the nightfall. Her only friend is the dog. In this world that is the only one she can trust, her dog. She knew that her dog would be there for her to make her strong even at her weakest moments that she only shares with her.

It took a long time for her to put up a face, a long time for her heart to become a stone, a long time for her to really think how cruel this world is, how much she should hate everything and anything in this world especially human beings. She loathed all the people who put up a farce of being happy, who were ready to sacrifice everything. What did that get her? Nothing. Only pain was left at the end of the sacrifices.

"You never do seem to leave me alone. Why? You afraid I will do something to myself?" (Geet looks at her dog waiting for an answer.) "Speaking to an animal..I must be going crazy."

She shakes her head smiling to herself as she leans backwards until her back hits the cold floor as she smoked blowing small puffs into the air. People leave the world but their memories remain no matter how much you want to remove the memories you can't. The memories are engraved in your soul and heart. The only way to take the memories away is to forget yourself and loose yourself in this big world which of neither is possible for her.

He throws the file on the floor after reading first few sentences in anger. He goes to the bar making himself a drink thinking about what was written in the file. His assistant comes running in after hearing the commotion.

"Maan sir, what's wrong?"

"Adi read the first few sentences in that file. What's written in it"

Maan points to the scattered paper on the floor. Adi sighs and picks each and every paper from the floor mentally thanking himself for numbering the papers before hand. He grabs page one and reads the first paragraph. He then looks at his boss confused.

"Sir, I don't understand?"

"what does the first paragraph states?" (He yells out loud in anger making Adi shiver in fear)

"Sir but i had told you before he had died leaving his daughter alone."

"Die? How can he die? How could he escape me? Me, from Maan Singh Khruana? His death suppose to be written from my hands not from the hands of God"

"Sir but his daughter sure can pay for his mistake. After you read the full file sir am sure you will know what to do. She has a daughter sir. A one year old daughter. Am sure you heard the quote "children pay for the sins of their parents"

"A one year old daughter eh? This game will be interesting. You may leave now. I want to be alone with my thoughts."

"As you wish sir"

Maan sat in the bar with a smile while looking at the painting hung on the wall in front of him. Revenge was the only thing he knew since he was a teenager. At that moment, he had sworn to get revenge not just from him but from his whole family. Whenever he thought about that moment of the day his blood boils. He counted every minute, every hour, every second even days months and years until today he was successful in finding him but even then he couldn't get his hands on him.

In his head, he played different scenarios and only one thing was common among them, no matter what; he was the main culprit. After that moment, he swore revenge. He swore to hunt down that person. He lived and breathed only for revenge which would be possible soon but will still feel incomplete. He wanted to see that person in front of him begging him for his life, he wanted to torture him until he felt satisfied, until he would revenge everything but alas god had to spare him from me. No matter, his daughter was still alive and cannot hide from him any longer.

"beware the devil is coming to a town near you. You cannot hide from me Geet Handa."

He laughs out loud as he drops on the floor near the scattered file pages. He grabs the papers in his hands looking at the bunched information with anger.

"I don't know who you are nor I care what will happen to you after I am done. One thing is for sure Ms. Handa a storm is coming your way to make your life miserable. I hope you are ready"

"Revenge is like a poison. It can take us over. Before you know it, it can turn you into something ugly." (Aunt May-Spiderman)

Two people wrapped up in their own worlds. Wrapped up in their own vengeance and own pain. One only knew how to revenge and hate while the other only knew nothing but pain. But there was one thing both had in common; both did not knew how to handle each other's grieves. How to over come their pain-their slow poison that was killing them from within. Both only knew how to isolate one's self hoping it would go away but ohh boy were they wrong. In time, their pain and their revenge grew 10 folds. Now, both were at such a crossroad that none knew how to get back to their old lives. How to live again. How to move on. How...that seems to be the only question in their respective heads. How. If only both knew, revenge and hatred are not the only thing to live on.
