"Ahaha, you got to be joking" Geet faked a laugh. "Shut up, I'll come to take you from Gemini" Jessie grinned. "I don't get it why you're grinning like a monkey" Geet scowled. She just winked and Geet groaned "there's just nothing between us". Jessie raised an eyebrow and Geet added "just pretend that I didn't say anything".

"Maan, will you go to Yash's party" Ally asked. "Sure" Maan said distracted a little bit as he watched Vicky chatting with Yash. "I won't be able to come" Ally said pulling a face. Maan looked at her and asked "why you're not coming?" "I promised Mom that I will go to my cousin's place for her wedding, nah, I have tons of new dresses to check" Ally said dramatically. "I wonder why she's making as if it's the end of the world" Maan thought. "Maan, are you hearing me'?" Ally said shaking him. "Sure" he said glancing at saw Jessie and Geet arguing and watched as Geet scowled and Jessie beaming. He chuckled softly. But Ally's droning disturbed him "I still don't understand what to wear, the yellow dress or the black dress with high heels or accessorizing it with sunglasses'or wearing'" she kept droning as Maan was distracted as he saw Vicky smiling at him.

"So today we'll start with Physics" Geet said seriously flipping through the biggest book Maan ever saw.

"Do we have too" Maan groaned. He was playing games on his laptop while Geet was checking his notebook. "You seem to have trouble with the first chapter, and if you don't the first chapter itself there's no way you can do the fifth one" Geet said as Maan continued to play.

Geet glared at Maan and shouted "Maan, I'm talking to you".

"Geet, chill, we have one hour" Maan said relaxing. Geet rolled her eyes and pushed Maan's laptop away. She gave Maan the book and started explaining him.

Half an hour later

Geet sipped her coffee. Maan had been working well and she was happy. She scoped through a magazine knowing that Maan didn't love when she poked in his works.

"You know, you should stopped playing games, you're grown up now" Geet said looking at Maan.

"And you should stop poking your nose in my works" Maan said sarcastically. Geet rolled her eyes and continued in her magazine.

Maan moved closer to her and showed him his laptop. "I know this is called a laptop" Geet said. "Good that you know its name" Maan added sarcastically. "Check this".

Maan showed Geet a video where Anvesha was about 3 years old and thought that butter was baby powder.

"I can't believe she bathed herself in butter" Geet laughed. "I just happened to be there and filmed everything at the right moment" Maan chuckled. "Mom was furious" Maan added laughing. Geet looked at him as he smiled away. Then realizing that Geet was smiling at him, he frowned and scoped through his book.

"You are going to Yash's party?" Maan asked.

"I don't know about that...I've never been to a party before'" Geet mumbled talking more to herself than Maan. "You never went to a party before? Why?" Maan asked looking at her. "Damn, it's not your things, Maan, don't meddle with that" he thought and wanted to divert her attention.

"My brother never ever let me out of the house except for some shopping and college'talking about party is too far" Geet answered shrugging. Maan looked at Geet who was lost in her own world, a little bit sad.

"You're missing your family" Maan asked. Geet nodded. "Anyway, let's come back to Physics" Geet said back in her working-mode.

"So let's see what you will wear now" Jessie said patting her green dress and smiled at Geet. "I don't have any dresses; back home I had only salwar kameez and churidars, right now, I have pack of jeans, blouses and t-shirts which I had to plead my brother to buy for me'" Geet said airily and happy that she would not go there.

"Don't worry, Shivani has tons of dresses" her Aunt said dragging Jessie in her daughter's room and opened her wardrobe.

"I don't think Shi will be happy with that" Geet said searching an excuse. "No worries" Aunt replied and phoned her daughter right in front of Geet proving her that she did not have any problem with that.

"Now I have to go to that party, darn" Geet thought. "But I don't want to meet Maan there" she whispered.

Geet who was in her own world did not know she was 'whispering' so loud making Jessie and her Aunt winking madly at each other.

Jessie fussed with some dresses, smilingly and ended up choosing a turquoise one.

"You look beautiful'" Aunt said. "I feel like a'how I would describe'" Geet said rolling her eyes.

"I think Maan will drool over you'" her Aunt laughed and rushed outside leaving a dead shocked Geet.

"What has Auntie got? She's talking nonsense" Geet said playing with her hands making you-are-crazy sign.

"Now we're perfect" Jessie said adding the last touch of make-up. "I feel like a clown, maybe there's too much of makeup" Geet fussed.

"No, seriously, you're pretty" Jessie winked. Geet flushed and stammered "why are you winking?"

"How do I look?" Geet asked standing in front of the television. Her uncle looked at her from down to up.

"You look like modern Cindrella" her uncle laughed and smiled. Geet scowled as Jessie dragged her to the door.

"Have a nice time, love" her Aunt called giggling. "She likes a guy called Maan" she whispered'

Geet entered at Yash's house. She felt awkward. Music was going loud and she grew more uncomfortable with every passing second.

"I feel sick" Geet mumbled to Jessie who ignored her words as all the way along she had been complaining of wanting to go home.

Students were dancing away round a corner, some were drinking cold drinks; Geet remembered that Yash had said no alcohol drinks would be allowed as his neighbour was a cop and an eccentric person too.

Geet gulped down ready to faint.

Some students smiled at her and she smiled back. "Will you go dancing?" Jessie asked pointing to a troop of girls dancing and forming themselves a small group. "No please, you go" Geet said. Jessie gave her are-you-sure look and Geet nodded pushing Jessie to dance.

Yash came grinning like a monkey when he saw Geet alone playing with her hair. "Hi Geet'!" he said cheerfully. "Err'hi to you too Yash" Geet said. "Want a drink or dance" Yash chuckled. "None of them" Geet faked a chuckle. "I'm all yours tonight" Yash grinned. Geet went pale and faked a grin. "No thanks" Geet said wishing this conversation never started. "Can we be friends?" Yash asked. "Err..." Geet looked perplexed when one of Yash's friends called him and he jogged away. "Weird type" Geet thought. "So long I've not seen Maan, its good".

Maan was walking alone checking right to left. Since Ally had not come, lots of other girls came talking to him but he would cut off their conversations and would pretend to talk to Vicky, who had already lost his obsession and poetry for Geet.

He saw Yash talking to Geet and saw how her expressions changed from surprised, shocked frustration and annoyance. He chuckled softly to himself. Then she looked lost in her thoughts and had a sign of uncomfortable on her face.

Maan took his coke and marched towards Geet. Geet gave a weak smiled to him. "What's up?" Maan asked sipping his coke. "Nothing'" Geet answered. "I feel...umm...out of place'nothing much'" Geet retorted. Maan couldn't help checking Geet. Geet went red when she saw him checking her.

"You look'...beautii'...you look nice" Maan said biting his lips. Geet gave a small smile. The music went louder that minute and Geet's face went even paler. Maan chuckled and said "follow me".

"Where are we going?" Geet thought.

"Don't worry, I'm not kidnapping you" Maan said rolling his eyes and dragged her out of the crowd to the outside of the house.

"Where..are ..we'?" Geet said when Maan pulled her and showed her the beach. Geet gasped as it was the most beautiful scenery ever; the sun setting and the sky splashed with dark burning red as if the sky were burning and orange splashes everywhere.

Maan smiled at Geet's face who was in awe. "It's'it's'so beautiful'" Geet whispered. The Music could be heard faintly.

"Take out your shoes now" Maan ordered. Geet gave him a perplexed look. "Just listen to me'" Maan said. Geet nodded and took out her heels while Maan took her other hands and started walking near the sea.

"The sand is so...soft'" Geet mumbled.
