as much people blabber about work life balance , it never happens, either of the one gets sacrificed, if u sacrifice on personal front, someone is trying to cover up ur role(absence) on home front...

being a happy soul is a state of mind...
to me maan is someone who is too streetsmart ...and i really dont think i can admire such man, no matter how successful he is...for some reason, such characters are repulsive...as too much of oversmartness ends up landing u in shit😆

Yep your views sound good too.
Liking Maan is totally up to you.
Are you saying you don't like a guy cuz he is too smart 😃 ??

well honestly i like simply ppl...ppl who are smart invariable use it in a way leading to their doom...i find maan too complicated...a person who sets in motion circumstances making them behave in a way, which he had already anticipated and in a way pupeteered their actions not literally, may not be capable of a family man...they are too much sucked into it, that they try to find meaning and motives in anything and everything...i would touch such ppl even with a bargepole...😆

Hmm..And I thought you wanted to be a lawyer 🤔.

Define 'family man'.
One who cares for the well being of his family?
One who protects his family from swindlers and gold diggers. This is a real concern for people who are rich.
One who makes sure his siblings have the right kind of tools to lead their life well.
Yes Maan's work life balance is off the charts. But building a company is not a joke. It needs time and patience. My father slept for just 3 hrs everyday when he was building his.

And I don't believe in the doom part. It is the over street smart people who rule us. Whether we like it or not. All the politicians and lobbyists who make the law books, what kind of people do you think they are? And yet we are ready to treat the same law books they amend as our bible for the rest of our life. No offense to anyone intended. I am just saying you know. Whatever. 😆

none of the things that u listed down fits in my definition of family man...

for me family man, is one who is not overtly ambitious, to the extent that he drives everyone around him insane, in the name of ambition

well to be honest when i read those law books and "bible of law, i just get the feeling , none of this i read is going to be of any use to me...real world doesnt abide by law...everyone only fears power and money...law is only for common man...for the richie rich, law is being conveniently flexed to suit the will of men with deep pockets
and i am studying law so that i know the nuances before i break all laws😆...i have this rebellious streak😉

when u buid ur own company, thats different coz, there u r working for urself and i would'nt mind even going sleepless...but when a person works for some bloody fat ass, helping him to mint billions and end up getting thousands or lakhs, slogging out for others, forsaking sleep and food, i call such people idiots who are not ambitious, but are weaklings who give excuses for not aiming high

maan can never be an ideal idol ...neither on professional front, nor on personal front...such men will end up having a stroke early, if they are going to think so much...at times ignorance is bliss...one cannot control everything at all times...

It is Maan's own company where he is a majority stakeholder and gets major dividends. So he will be ambitious on that front. Ambition means different things to different people. When one has siblings who spend money like water one cannot help running after money right? Maan is the beast of burden in his family.

I am not defending Maan. I am just saying circumstances have made him what he is. I never meant for him to be an idol. My belief is that not one person can be an idol in anything. That is why good things need to be borrowed from everyone including criminals or in our case Maan 😆

And lawyers have to deal with people who are like Maan and who are worse than Maan on a daily basis correct? That is why when you said you did not want to touch Maan with a barge pole got a bit worried 😆.

This is one fascinating discussion. In a sense you're both right, but it comes down to the moral grain of the person. The one who balances brilliance, genius, intelligence, emotions and family, is the one whose morality is dictated by a very vocal conscience. Business acumen is naught without family, and a family is naught without money. So one cannot readily dismiss either person or the man in between. If everyone decides that their prime ambition is to rule the world who will collect the garbage that exists in the world? Without the garbage being collected, the "ambitious" ones would fall ill and die. On the other hand if the brilliant minded ones like Maan decided to sit back and manipulate nothing, the world would have no leaders. A leader has to be willing to take the risk of interfering for the overall benefit of all. That's why democracy must be mixed with autocracy, and similar concepts...to keep the balance. Once that equilibrium is lost, that's when we should simply try to put ourselves in the person's place and see the difficulty of their decisions. Ergo, Maan is a complex structure, but he is not complicated. You simply have to put yourself in his shoes.

when i said i wouldnt touch him with even a barge pole, it just referred that i would want such people in my vicinty as a family member like a spouse...i will be forever decoding his actions and words😆

lawyers have to deal with crooks and suave devils alike...its always Hello HI HI BYE BYE with them😆

running after money and running after people with deep pockets, to make a paltry sum is different...
maan is repulsive to me , not because i find him a money minting machine, but he has an obsessive streak of controlling people...and the reason why he behaves irrationally with G, is because she is the only one who defies him and does everything diametrically opposite to whatever he has planned for her, and in the due course upsetting his grand plans for others too...

the two people who he have had issues dealing with is dev and G, coz both though different in being rebellious, makes him go ballistic whenever they do something either due to pure stupidity or rebellion...

the only thing that i learn from him, is how i shouldnt end up as...else u may find my permanent residence in an asylum😆

ok to be honest i find my opinions very rigid and childish, and at times downright stupid...
may be some years down the line, when i would reminisce my days in IF and TSWL thread, i might feel like dork for even having such plain stupid and rigid views...
things are never as easy as i assume, it never be only black or white...they are always in shades of gray,...
