This is one fascinating discussion. In a sense you're both right, but it comes down to the moral grain of the person. The one who balances brilliance, genius, intelligence, emotions and family, is the one whose morality is dictated by a very vocal conscience. Business acumen is naught without family, and a family is naught without money. So one cannot readily dismiss either person or the man in between. If everyone decides that their prime ambition is to rule the world who will collect the garbage that exists in the world? Without the garbage being collected, the "ambitious" ones would fall ill and die. On the other hand if the brilliant minded ones like Maan decided to sit back and manipulate nothing, the world would have no leaders. A leader has to be willing to take the risk of interfering for the overall benefit of all. That's why democracy must be mixed with autocracy, and similar concepts...to keep the balance. Once that equilibrium is lost, that's when we should simply try to put ourselves in the person's place and see the difficulty of their decisions. Ergo, Maan is a complex structure, but he is not complicated. You simply have to put yourself in his shoes.
i dont despise ppl like maan, but abhor people accepting mediocrity and being complacent..giving an upper hand to people like maan, who are not gods, yet are being looked upon as one, coz we are not fit to give shape to our ambitions...and often take the easiest way out...that is being a slave...who said slavery is gone...
