This is one fascinating discussion. In a sense you're both right, but it comes down to the moral grain of the person. The one who balances brilliance, genius, intelligence, emotions and family, is the one whose morality is dictated by a very vocal conscience. Business acumen is naught without family, and a family is naught without money. So one cannot readily dismiss either person or the man in between. If everyone decides that their prime ambition is to rule the world who will collect the garbage that exists in the world? Without the garbage being collected, the "ambitious" ones would fall ill and die. On the other hand if the brilliant minded ones like Maan decided to sit back and manipulate nothing, the world would have no leaders. A leader has to be willing to take the risk of interfering for the overall benefit of all. That's why democracy must be mixed with autocracy, and similar concepts...to keep the balance. Once that equilibrium is lost, that's when we should simply try to put ourselves in the person's place and see the difficulty of their decisions. Ergo, Maan is a complex structure, but he is not complicated. You simply have to put yourself in his shoes.

i dont despise ppl like maan, but abhor people accepting mediocrity and being complacent..giving an upper hand to people like maan, who are not gods, yet are being looked upon as one, coz we are not fit to give shape to our ambitions...and often take the easiest way out...that is being a slave...who said slavery is gone...

things are never as easy as i assume, it never be only black or white...they are always in shades of gray,...

It helps if you forget how you feel about the issue and look at it from the other person's standpoint. You'll lose the feeling of "banging your head against a brick wall", and instead be all mellow and yellow like a sunshiney fellow.🤣

I certainly did not advocate mediocrity or complacency. I simply stated the fact that the world cannot exist without the other. For equilibrium, and development, compromise must be somewhere, not on moral standpoints, but on matters that are circumstance specific. I do not idolise anyone and it would be remiss of me to suggest to or compel someone to relinquish their lives into the hands of a person "better" than or more "intelligent" them. Every person has a strength. So while there are people who are happy "muling" themselves out for the rest of their lives, it does not make them any less of a person than you or I. After all, they are making an effort at something, even if it isn't something worth average commendation.

i certainly dont judge ppl by their mediocre achievements, coz above all there is something called circumstances and your destiny which comes into play, but i feel sad about the fact is that people laud and sing praises of subservience...making an effort to attempt something which is beyond one's comfort level is looked down upon and made a mockery of, and ultimately labelled as loonies😆

I don't believe I've ever heard anyone in my 18 year life span state that subservience or mediocrity ought to be applauded. In fact as far as I am concerned the only people who would ever do so are the ones who require a subservient individual to make himself/herself feel even greater about achievements. Ergo, why Maan chooses challenging people to surround himself with and Sasha chose complacent, spineless individuals. It comes back to circumstance and personal accountability/responsibility.

then what would u call working for someone else as ...working for someone else rather than working for yourself is what i call as subservience and complacency...

maan chooses intelligent ppl around him, coz he is working for himself...and sasha is working for maan , so she needs someone to boss around, as she is being bossed around by maan...

sasha is an example of 'the pain i suffer, let me inflict the same pain on others too...

BTW r u really 18 year old...i must say for a teenager u have quite a profound and refreshing way of thinking

However the society in which we will live in cannot function without us working together with each other, or without a clear hierarchy. Chaos and anarchy would reign and nothing would get done. All those organisations and associations which experiment with "laissez-faire" leadership or "we're all accountable" leadership tend to fail. For anything to move forward anywhere, there must be a leader and their must be followers. Isn't that the reason your body comes with a brain and then has other organs which follow the brains instructions? The other organs are valuable and the body cannot function efficiently without them. Yet, when the time comes, these organs rebel against the brain in flight/fight situations or in reflex actions which ultimately save our lives, or some important aspect of us. The only immediate exception to this rule is the heart which cannot be ordered by the brain to stop beating. It's an independent entity with no ambition (just like Adi) but an extremely vital role (finance rules in business). The lungs on the other hand, while equally important can be forced to stop moving...but it's rebellious nature takes charge when it thinks the boss (brain) has taken things too far. So whichever way you look at it, someone or something must work for someone else, the important thing is to work together and follow the dictates when reasonable.

It's the law of nature, and life is patterned from nature.

Yes I am 18🤣. All my life people seem to never believe the digits in my age. I'm sure they secretly give me gray hairs, wrinkles and bent back🤣

I feel my writing is bloody codswallop in front of the two brainiacs here 😕
And Kitty for my sanity sake please tell me you are not 18. Else I will kill myself.

The only person who will end up in the loony bin is not Maan, not Reva but ME!
