Maan is a figment of my imagination.
Even if such people existed in real life I cannot go inside their head and see their thoughts right?
I try to be the character and live through the situation.
For sketching his character I have been inspired from a couple of people I have met and not met. Not situation wise but the way they approach their stuff in life.

Regarding if a person like Maan can exist, I think definitely yes. And they have to exist.
How about this?
A CEO of a huge company has the same 24 hours as us.
Yet they manage to get so many things done, manage huge conglomerates, have such public lives. Can such people think like us 'ordinary mortals'? Their brain needs to be miles ahead of the rest of the populace thinking so many things in parallel in order to use the 24 hrs effectively.

Any genius I have met has always been eccentric and quirky. They can develop a 'different kind of vision' only by daring to live and think differently. I have had the pleasure of meeting many such people. Who have astounded me with their level of intelligence, public speaking skill, interpretation, approach to problem solving.

So now it is extremely hard to depict the thought process of such a person and it is difficult to understand because not everyone can think like them. That is the hallmark of greatness isn't it? That they can weather the worst in their personal lives to rise above the ashes in their professional life. For one moment, just imagine what the brain of people like Ambani, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg would be made of? That is why they get to be billionaires and we are peasants. It is all in the human brain.

And by the way I remember reading somewhere that Steve Jobs personal life was an unlivable hell. He supposedly got his GF pregnant at a young age of which he felt guilty(I am *not sure* of this. It might be gossip. Please don't quote me.). The company he had founded himself was snatched away from him. There is even a book on his personal life(I have not read it). And look at the vision and life he managed to achieve despite the personal mess. He is one of the influences for my characterization of Maan. Of course I have not met him. 😆

Of course I do not feel bad about your comment.
It is your opinion. And if you wish to continue reading this story I will definitely pm you.

Would you mind clarifying a few things about your comment?
When did had2bu say Maan is disrespecting Geet's feelings?

@had2bu, did you say that sometime earlier? I cannot seem to remember. May be if someone can provide me a link for that comment it will help me answer this question.

I apologize if you feel hurt by this story.
But are you talking about today's update? Or in general Maan's behavior.
If you can point me to specific instances of Maan's manipulation of Geet, I can understand your comment better.

to be frank i did not read the last few updates but was kept aware of what happened in those updates

thanks to my sisters

It is clear that maan cares for everybody , be it is his enemy or friend

he respects sasha because she is the reason what he is now

He doesn't want to hurt her for the same reason

Just because he cares sasha he fails to realise that geet is getting hurt

What is the point of caring for an enemy when your loved one who did no mistake gets hurt dues to that action

Geet's emotions are not valued in this relationship

Even in enemity , the opponents thoughts are considered

Maan is not actually considering geet's views .

he is not thinking from her POV and he still wants her to understand him

And on top of it he is advising dev to take care of his ex 😕

Is he not feeling guilty of hurting geet who did the mistake of loving him when he feels guilty of hurting sasha who is the reason make his life a living hell even when he has moved on

Maan expects geet to take all his actions in the same way which he wants her to

When he know that he is not like dev then how can he expect geet also to be like him

Maan's thoughts are not practical , t is not the way a normal human like dev or geet thinks

My vote goes for Dev even if he is wrong now

He is the guy who had supported his bro's love emotionally and he will definetely not fail in supporting his love

Man is born to make mistakes and he has to move on ...

But here the way maan acts shows that he is not moving on

Your thoughts are appreciated but still i'm confused about maan's actions and his feelings towards geet

I still feel that maan is taking geet for granted

some of the bigshot names U have listed happen to be billionaires for one more reason...
the below line explains it
" behind every fortune, there is a crime"

the names like ambanis, lakshmi mittal, vijay mallya who happen to be industry leaders have had a tainted history, which explains the networth that runs in billions

well i dont judge ppl on the basis of morality, but somehow these people dont enamour me , for a simple reason that the very same people have some of the best brains guiding them on anything and everything...

the only difference i see in them and 'lesser mortals' like us, is they dont need to worry about some of the trivial things , which we need to break our heads on daily basis...

well this wasnt supposed to be something to contradict you, but its just i find the comparison them and us not fair😉

after blabbering this, i feel like a jackass...😆

Can't say more. I give up! Maan justifies it all, seems to know it all and in total control and Geet has lost her essence and Dev is the real coward here? 🤪 Yeah right, and I belong to Mesopotamia 🤪 And he grins at the end of it all? Cheeky bas***d! 🤬 And I still love him? ☺️ 😡 Do you know I was reacting exactly like Dev during the lecture and felt like I was being reprimanded by Maan himself for my petty brains? 🤢 And I was pouting and squirming and feeling guilty and angry and lost and confused and sorry and what not? And then ended up grinning at the end and feeling utmost silly? 🤬

Sheesh you are just too much!

And I am still addicted to the story?
😡 🤪

Am I expected to thank you too for turning me insane? Okay... 👏 😆

Can I just say I lub u and give you a hug. 🤗.

I did not proof read the comment exactly.
The greatness is not because they are billionaires.
It is because they weather their personal storm to reach great heights.
I was mainly talking about Steve Jobs.

I just threw some names in there. (Ambani because I am very patriotic 🤣. No other reason)
My point is tainted or untainted they need to think a lot. 😃.
More than us definitely. That is why they get paid more.
Who will pay mega bucks to hire a criminal, non thinking, white elephant eh 😉

And I am happy being an "ordinary mortal" and a "peasant". Thank you very much.
I have not depicted Maan as a happy soul here, have I?

I am not comparing. But I think good things have to be borrowed from everyone.
If someone has managed to become famous and big, there has to be something different about him is my opinion.

well i agree, we need to learn something from everyone, but i personally feel, that sometimes we have this feeling of awe for someone , and when we actually get to know the story behind their success, we question the very basis, premise on which we were blindly idolising them,... not everything that shines is gold, so rather than trying to follow people blindly , we need to create our own path, depending on our limitations and strengths...

as much people blabber about work life balance , it never happens, either of the one gets sacrificed, if u sacrifice on personal front, someone is trying to cover up ur role(absence) on home front...

being a happy soul is a state of mind...
to me maan is someone who is too streetsmart ...and i really dont think i can admire such man, no matter how successful he is...for some reason, such characters are repulsive...as too much of oversmartness ends up landing u in shit😆
