When we see your life partner as an outsider, whom you have known few years ago when you don't know them properly, you will feel awkward. And his words those first words he spoke felt to me that he was being honest so that he would not hurt her again, by rising her hopes and crushing them brutally like he did on their wedding anniversary, although unknowingly. For me his reaction made him like him a bit more. It was endearing. Yes, I am a certified loony😆

Thank you for the comments on the chapter. I'm seeing split views on Maan and the situation, which is surprisingly exciting for me.

It's officially my birthday as of an hour ago - I just needed an excuse to throw that in there 😉. Haha, no there is a reason for me saying that and that is to share a bit of background info on the story. It was nine/ten months ago that I first conceptualised Gehraiyan and I had it in mind to have it wrapped up or at least a large part of it written by my birthday. That has clearly not happened and I've done some reflecting/soul-searching/yadda yadda yadda and come to one conclusion: busy or not, I need to make time for this story.

I request you all to nag, moan and harp at me to update until I do. The chapters may be shorter (if that's even possible ;) ) but will be more frequent. I hope you'll all continue to support me :) Thanks.
