I sort the papers of the file and look up only to see pinky standing in front of me... when did you came i asked surprised... but in actual i heard her footsteps when she tiptoed in my cabin... but i didn't wanted to make her feel it so that she can't question me about my powers... which i couldn't answer...
Pinky - when you were busy in your files... she said and i smile... lets go its lunch break...
but sir told me there is an meeting in afternoon... i asked to which she shook her head...
Pinky - its after lunch break...
Ohh... i said and turn to take my bag from the table... when i notice from the glass partition that is between mine and maan sir's cabin that he is staring at me... and as soon as i look at him... he looks at the file in front of him... something was different in his stare and other people's stare... i can feel it... but i don't know what... i continued looking at him for sometime... thinking why he would take my name like that... i tried thinking if i knew him before but nothing came in my mind... i came out of my thoughts when pinky literally drag me to the canteen...
slow down pinky... i said but she didn't listen...
Pinky - lets order something i am really hungry... she said and i wonder she is eating from morning and still she is hungry...
ok... i said and she ordered lunch... we ate talking about everything but nothing in particular... and after sometime i left from there... as i have to arrange the copies of file in conference room... i was arranging the papers when i heard a weird sound... though it was not audible... but still i can hear it... i turn around but there was noone... but i am sure i heard the noise... who can it be... i go outside to check but found noone... so i again started arraninging the papers thinking it might be again my extra sharp ears... and when i was done i left to my cabin... after sometime adi sir came to me informing me about the meeting... i left to the conference hall with him... the clients were already there... i sat on one of the chairs with my notepad... Maan sir enters and everyone stood up greeting him... presentation went well and i noted the important points... i was really impressed with the way of maan sir's dealing with clients... how he handle everything professionally... specially the way he answers the questions... it was really good... now i understood why he is so much famous in his field... i will truely gain good experience working in this company... i came out of my thoughts when i felt a hand on my shoulder... i got up in a jerk looking behind... he... he... he... adi sir laugh looking at me... i sighed... adi sir you scared me...
Adi - geet, i was calling you from last 5 mins... where were you lost... he said and i wonder how can i not listen...
sorry adi sir... i didn't notice you...
Adi - its ok... by the way its almost 6:30... you are not going home...
no adi sir... maan sir is still here.. i am waiting for him to leave... i said looking at the glass and saw him engrossed in files...
Adi - ok... if you want i can wait for you... he asked in concerned voice... i couldn't help but smile at his concern...
its ok adi sir... i will manage... i said assuring him...
Adi - as you wish... he said and left... i sat down and open my bag to find my phone as it was buzzing, when my eyes fell on my parents picture i took it out caressing it lovingly... whenever i felt lonely i often talk to their pic... how much i wish nani sahiba and masi ma accepts me... and i too have a family like everyone... but i know it will never happen... she has rules for angels and mom has broken them by marrying a human... she can't break them for her own family also... i shrugged my shoulders to control myself... and smiled through tears and kept the picture in my bag again hearing the voice of footsteps...
Geet, are you alright...??? maan sir asked me in concerned voice... i was surprised seeing him here... i wiped my tears looking away and smile at him...
yes sir... i am... am fine... i said and he didn't said anything... after sometime of silence he spoke again... if you want you can share it with me... he said hopefully looking at me... i sighed... its nothing like that sir... i was just missing my parents... i am alright... i said smiling, though my eyes were moist and he smiled back too... oh... where are they... he asked me and my smile vanished... they are no more... i managed to say in a chocked voice... i am sorry he said looking down... i could feel he is feeling bad for me... its.. its ok... i said as tears threaten to fall from my eyes again... he kept his hand on my shoulder to make me comfortable... his this gesture was making me forget all my pain... i wanted to cry in his embrace, but i control myself and gave him a half smile... showing him i am alright... he wiped my tears smiling warmly at me... my phone buzzed again and i realised what i am doing... i cut the call whoever it was not in a mood to pick it... i wiped my tears and started packing my bag... i was surprised on myself... why i am sharing this with him... i don't even talk about my parents to pinky and pari... so why him... i have no answer for this... its really late geet, come i will drop you... he said and i came out of my thoughts...

Maan - how will you manage... you will not get any taxi at this time... and delhi is not safe at night... i look at my watch and its already 8:30... oh i am this late... pari must be waiting for me... i finally agree to him but why i don't know... normally in this situation, if i would have been with anyone else... i would have made any excuse to be with pari... even use my magic... but today i didn't felt like lieing to him... we both walked in silence... he took the car keys from the driver saying something to him which i couldn't hear... i sat on the passenger seat... and we left from there... he asked my address and i told him... after that the whole ride was silent... i kept slealing glances of him every now and then... he is really a nice person... not what like i heard from people... stone heart... without feelings etc... i wonder why people think about him like that... i looked outside still looking at him from the corner of my eyes... thinking about my first day in office... it was quite nice... but working in KC is not easy... its really hectic... it was my first day but still so busy... don't know how must be other days... i sighed as we reached at my appartment... the lights were on that means pari was already there... i came out of the car and she came runing to me... finally you are here... she said hugging me... i hugged her back... so how was your first day at office... she asked me getting excited... it was nice... i said and look at maan sir... who was looking at me... sir... come inside... join us for dinner... i said looking at him so that pari would realise he is here... she smiled at me foolishly...
Pari - sorry i didn't notice you... she said looking at maan sir... to which he just nodded and smile...
we can talk inside also pari... i said to her and she nodded... we settle inside... when did you came pari... i asked her indirectly of her time left with me tonight... i just came 3 mins before you came... i smiled wholeheartedly and nodded... she smiled back... maan sir what would you like to have...
Maan - no... nothing... i should leave now... its getting late... i nodded and left to drop him till car... thanks sir... i said when we reached the car... why ??? he asked surprised... wo... for lift and for... you know what i mean... i said hinting at office incident... no thanks and sorry in friendship right... he said and i was surprised by his words...

Maan - we didn't but we can now... he asked me taking his hands out for a hand shake... looking at me hopefully... i looked at his hand for sometime... i was confused... i should do it or not... he was about to take his hand back when i immediately took his hand in mine looking at his dissapointed face... i don't know why but i didn't liked that look on his face... so i accepted it... friends...!!! i said and he smile wholeheartedly... thanks... he said as a bright smile appear on his face... i was about to say something when he came towards me... he hugged me tightly... i was taken aback... but than he is only saying thanks geet whats the big deal... and friends do hug each other... i sighed and hugged him back... wrapping my arms around his neck... his warm breath was falling on my neck... which was arousing different feelings in me... i broke apart and he look really happy so i didn't say anything... good night geet... he said breaking the silence... good night... i mumbled as he sat in the car and drove back.
