BLOODLINE: CHAPTER 2
Welcome back Geet Handa

Life can be really strange at times. True, its unpredictable and has its own course and you have no control over it. When Geet saw Maan at the airport, she simple couldn't stop herself from getting enchanted and charmed yet again by his presence.
Maan Singh Khurana, with a calm demeanor, passive face, guided Geet out of the airport. The conversation was limited to monosyllables or single lines, like "hope you had a pleasant flight' or "Should i get you something?" or "dont worry, this area is clear of media" yet there was something beyond! It was not only Geet who was going through a whirlwind of emotions after seeing Maan but Maan too was surprised after seeing Geet, Pleasantly surprised!
MAAN'S MONOLOGUE- " Is that her? really her? Am i daydreaming? what happened to her? But whatever happened, happened for good! she is gorgeous! what happened to that nerdy,shy,girl who wore specs and never ventured beyond loose fitting behenji dresses when it came to clothing and had braces, is it the same girl?
Yes ofcourse its her, how can i forget those eyes that speak volume, how i can forget that musical laughter that ring bells in your heart, how can i forget that that cute pout! Its Her And I'm glad its her, Welcome Back Geet Handa! Welcome Back To ME!"
When Maan was first informed by his Boss Mr Mohinder Handa, that Geet had to be called back here, in India, out of her hibernation, he seemed bored, yet he called her and from her voice itself, he could make out how nervous and restless Geet was after hearing his voice. And now too sitting across her in her fathers black limousine,he could sense the same restlessness in her, playing with her fingers or phone, avoiding to look directly at him, except for a few side glances, to which Maan smirked, "good! i still have the effect! but this time its vice versa, you too have your effect upon me Geet, because i like what i see and i must say you look devastatingly eateable!" Maan said mentally. Though according to Geet nothing much had changed in her, apart from the fact that her specs and braces had gone, she had straightened her hair on her friend's insistence and on her suggestion she had started wearing clothes that fit her just right, like the one she was wearing now, denims with a white quarter sleeve shirt and sneakers to match. She wondered why Maan was regarding him so closely, as if he will eat her up. His piercing eyes made matters worse for her. She wondered and prayed that this car ride ends soon and she is away from Maan and his piercing gaze, in her daddy's wonderland. Thats what they called it together, She and Her Dad!
With that her mind drifted off to happy memories of her childhood when her father raised her bowed to all her tantrums and fulfilled all her silly demands. She smiled to herself, and it didn't go missed by the creature who was sitting across her, Maan's heart skipped a beat seeing her smile, she was lost in her thoughts. "Hmm your smile is something, that make "your smile is a powerful weapon, you can braek ice with it, but now its my turn to break the ice, enough of observing!"
" so Geet" Maan began in his rich baritone voice " hows US?, I mean do you like it there?" it was Geet's turn to be surprised, she was lost in her childhood, when suddenly Maan broke her reverie nd brought her back to the present, where she could see an extremely gorgeous creature sitting across her and asking her about her life, for once she seemed at a loss of words but then when she realised the creature smirking, she quickly regained her composure and replied, "Good! I like it there, though i miss dad, yet its fun" "And Me?" suddenly he asked out of the blue " dont you miss me Geet?" leaving an already flustered Geet all the more flummoxed and dumbfounded!
