Geet watched as Vikram spoke to her telling her how much he cried when he found out she got married. How he used to talk to her picture all the time and everything. Geet smiled at him but she was scared because she knew how dangerous he was. Geet was 11 at the time and used to go to an mixed school. It wasn't until high school till the girl and boys school was segregated. Vikram at that time was 15. They were friends. Geet liked Vikram as a friend and he used to make her laugh and bring her flowers everyday. Geet didn't think much of it as she mostly hanged with her group of friends, Channi and Rajji. But she met Vikram everyday. . But one day when Geet did not come to school, the day her Dadima died, Vikram was angry as he missed her the whole day.
'Kaha ti tum kal' He asked digging his hands into an innocent 10 year olds hands. Tears came out of Geet's eyes. 'Vikram tum yeh, mera haat..' Vikram saw her tears and wiped them harshly.
'Mat rona, tum janti ho I hate your tears' He said. Geet smiled at him and said 'Kal woh dadima ka funeral ta..' Geet cried. Vikram understood. The following week, Geet was laughing in class waiting for class to begin and another boy was making her laugh. Channi and Rajji was there too. Vikram came in and saw Geet laughing and talking to another boy and it made him mad. He went in and punched the boy. The girls got up in shock.
'Vikram yeh tum kya?' Geet exclaimed in shock. Channi and Rajji looked terrified looking at Vikrams face.
'Tumari himmat kaise hue Geet ke tum kisi aur ladkey se baat karo. Tum sirf meri ho' Geet was scared at his antics. Same things started happening and Vikram started to become obesseive. It wasn't until one day when he smacked one ot the teachers for hitting Geet for not doing her homework did word get out to her parents and especially Daarji and Brij. She explained to them what was going on and she was scared of him and them she didn't know how to tell them. Daarji, at that point knew Geet was innocent and scolded her for not telling him earlier knowing his grandaughter was living in fear. He was also worried if word got out that his granddaughter was being harrased, his reputation will be at stake. He ordered Geet to be sent to a segregated girls school. Brij told Geet that she better be careful now and keep away from all boys and especially Vikram. Vikram parents's were seen by Daarji, who told them to leave town. Vikram went balisitic and screamed and shouted he didn't want to leave without Geet. But Brij didn't hear any of it and threatened him that if he comes near Geet he will kill him. Vikram then tried to attack Daarji but Brij got him before and he was sent to an asylum.
But Vikram's mental state did not go better in asylum, instead he went more obsessive for Geet. He wrote Geet's name all over the walls and spoke to her picture that he had. As he turned 17, he realised the only way out is to make everyone believe that he was well and thats what he did. He was out by the time he was 18. He then realised, he had to become a big man to get Geet's rishta and at the moment he was nothing. He worked hard for the next 4 years and by the time he was 22, Geet was 18 and she was married off to Dev. He went back to find out what happened to Geet and was enraged. He started searching for her in Delhi and finally found her on Diwali. He was happy and was about to go to her when he saw Naintara driving towards her.
'pata hai Geet, maine kitna kuch kiya tumhara liye, ek bara business sirf tumhari liye' Vikram smiled at her. Geet tried to smile back. But she was thinking of Maan all that time what will he be doing. Is he fine?
Maan meanwhile was reading Geet's diary. (I fast forwarded some parts to important days).
Office locked in

Maan read that line and was shocked, that Geet trusted him more than life. He remembered that night and realised that what a funny incident it had been. But it made Geet open up to him more.
Dhabba night
Maan ne aaj mere saath Dhabba main enjoy kiya. Woh kitni aache hai. Itni bure nahi hai. Phir baarish hue aur main dance karni lagi barish main. Phir maine dekha kadoos gari main teh, baarish se shayad dartey hai. Lekin phir mujhe Dev aur dhoka ki yaad agaye.. aur main gham main Maan ko hug kiya. Kitna bara shock. Mujhe laga sirf Maan mere dil ka dukh door kar saktey hai.
Dargah Day
Aaj mujhe pata chala, kyun babaji mujse Maan ko dur nahi hone dete. Isliye, Mujhe Maan se door jana hoga warna..Mujhe pata chala I Love Maan. Main Maan se bohot pyar karti hu. Aur main aunke zindagi barbad nahi karsakti.
Maan returns day
Maan ko contract par larki chahiye. Lekin shayad meri aisa karne se Maan mujhe door chale jaye aur main yahan se. Main maan ki zindagi barbaad nahi karsakti.
Maan cried reading how much Geet loved him and trusted him. He was in pain. He looked at Geet's picture that he took on the engagement night.
'Geet, waapas ajao'
Meanwhile Geet followed Vikram as they took the cab to the nearest airport the following week. It was time to head off. Geet felt like something was going to happen. She felt that Maan was nearby. She turned her head and saw Maan. Her eyes were shocked. He was standing there with Adi. He was heading on the same flight. She turned to Vikram and saw his face full of anger.
