I guess when you put it like that, it makes sense but I was saying the actual sequence was repetitive, not the idea of a chase. It would have been interesting if they had mixed it up, maybe had a tussle in the middle or something, or a shirt ripping, maybe as we know that Maan is in his vest later.
I totally agree with you about the second chase being useful for characterisation though. That maniacal laugh at the end was indicative of the exhileration Vikram felt at the prospect of barely escaping certain death. He seems to feed of the adrenaline rush.
Also the fact that he cuts himself so often speaks of some serious psychological issues as well. People who cut themselves usually feel some sort of release when they do so. He must be associating this feeling with Geet and writing things all over the place with his blood. His psychoness is being really well played out.
I hope that the dream/reality of Maan being hurt snaps her into sherni mode. I have a feeling she is going to try and strike a deal with Vikram, or pretend to in order to lure him into a trap, that is not going to make MSK happy.
Also the precap was so shocking that I forgot to eagerly anticipate two hulking men fighting and getting all dirty in the process! 😉
