my few reasons for Geet's adamancy..

I am seeing that we all are getting upsest with Geet's adamancy and seeing that Maan is trying sooo hard and taking all these insults from her family then why does Geet not feeling that lovely feeling.

That made me think hard. I am not trying to defend or condemn Geet or Maan or any one here but I would like to take a deep look in to Geet's heart and see why did she used the word "Gunah" today while talking with Dev...

Since the time she has recongnised Maan being Balwant Singh.... Geet watches Maan being insulted in totally undignified manner.. She cannot bare to see his insults she is devastated that someone is treating him with such an undignified manner but she still is not ready to go with him so why.???

Once again she watched the prince being servant and washing cars and feels bad that he is being driver and is washing the cars and at home there is an army to carry his water glass.....

She feels bad about his dignity and his honor but at personal level she does not feel that she should forget all and go back with him as that is what he really wants but why????

Geet is hurt not only for Maan used the word begairat and white blood but the way he implied it..

He was observing every one talking nicely with Dev and earlier also he observed Dev's more effective ways with Geet for brining her out of her sorrowful state. and that irk the hell out of Maan. He was feeling insecured with the situation as he was not able to be very effective in brining Geet out of her sorrow. Seeing that Maan was trying to cheer her up with every thing he could... Geet started coming out and she was happy with the facts that her Maan did that for her. On the day of the holi she went to wish him and tell him the reasons of her happy state but he was too stuck up and did not listen to her and the final nail was him watching Geet allowing Dev to put the color on her. With that he made conclusion that once again Geet allowed Dev to take advantage of her.

So seething with volcanic anger he went to confront Dev...He told Dev that he has ulterior motives and then he turns to Geet with the same rage and asks her so tell me Geet what did he do to you that you forgot all and played holi with him.. and to add the insults he said you may have that kind of low standard that you forgave him and forgot what he did to you but my Khurana blood is not that begairat that it will forgive Dev and if your white blood allows you to be like that then what can I do??

He told her plain and simple that he does not know what Dev did to her that she once again lost her dignity and respect and allowed a person like Dev to touch her. And that if she had that low standard then it is her problem but he will not do so... In those angry words he snatched Geet's dignity and respect as his wife and as a human being.. He practically accused Geet of falling for Dev's charm again. And that was the sin he commited against her. It was not the word begairat only but what it implied that she has lost his respect and his honor and now he is separating himself from her because he doubted her loyalty towards him.. In other words he felt disgusted at that moment that she could stoop so low and allow Dev to touch her where as previously she abhored Dev on a sight.. And that thought and that notion in him has killed everything Geet felt for him. For Geet it was the demise of her existence that her Maan thought she was worthless to behave in such a way. As at that moment he doubted not only her judgement but her dignity and honor and thus indirectly her faithfulness....

And I think though as a forgiving and easy going person Geet cannot bare to see him insulted but she does not want to go with him at the same time not because she does not love him but because the unbrekable bond between them has been burnt and she does not feel the heart to heart connection with him because she felt that he did not trust her and accused her of being disloyal to him...

She misses him and her heart yearns to be with him. She wants to be in his arms but she is not ready to forgive this accusation and allegations of being disloyal to him. Every time her love surfaces and she starts missing him but then at the same time these accusations surfaces also and she feels being drain by those. Her heart cries for him but her heart also cries for this allegation he hurled against her in anger and burnt what ever tremendous love she felt for him. And she has no desire.. no life in her to go on... She feels so empty and lifeless without the love which was always bubbling in her and the source of that was Maan himself. But the volcanic anger has dried up the well of her source and now she is just like a lifeless doll wondering around here and there without any aim in life...

Maan had no idea what he did to her. He was in his self righteous mood until Dev made him realize and told him the full details of the situations of the meeting at the farm house was arranged by dadima and him so that they could talk and Geet was only forgiving him for Maan's sake so that she can break the tie with her past and start a fresh life with him.. until that realization hit Maan... Maan never even had remote idea that he has accused Geet of disloyalty. It was Dev who used the word doubt that hit Maan and he realised the folly of his self righteousness of worthy Khurana blood and his gairatmand desposition.. but by that time Geet already walked out from his life as she had no life left in him when her Maan thought that she was disloyal to him and she walks out lifeless from all closing in her hurt and her dignity whatever was left. No one could stop her not even dadima becasue the person for whom she was living had disconnected her life support.

By the time Maan realized the full impact of his words and his action Geet was already gone and there was not way he could get hold of her..

So here Geet is not being adamant or obstinate.. She has just no desire to continue her life with him cause he has sucked the life out of her. Yes to see him being insulted gives her pains but she has no life left in her to just forget his accusations and go back.. For Maan it does not matter at all as his mission is not to please this people but his mission is to get his Geet and his mishti back and his bubbly Geet back with same zest of life and love for him and their life together.

Geet just cannot come out of the state of being alone and being accused of disloyalty that she just cannot see being with him without being sad... But when she will see him taking all these insults to protect her and just to be near her. When she will see that MSK who never lose a single argument has put all his pride and his self respect and his dignity away and he does not care for those expet to bring that joy and love in her heart with him. He is taking this in as unsignificant thing against her love and her joy just so that he can show that his only goal in the life is to bring the joy and happiness back to her so that he can get his Geet back... that he is trying to win her back no matter what he has to do and he is trying to bring that feeling of love and happiness and joy in her being at his presence and with him.. I think her heart will tell her to forgive and forget and see that though for those moments Maan separated himself and left her alone with contempt but now he is trying his level best to be with her and to win back her as his Geet his mishti her heart will melt and she will be in his arms once again.

totally disagree with you. People whose life have been sucked out do not go around shopping with their cousins and leading fairly normal life. Sucking out life means being lifeless. that person should be sitting in a corner forgetting to eat or do anything.

I will also say that geet is responsible for driving MSK to that anger which resulted in those harsh words. She took his self respect as her husband by forgiving dev and then putting tilak on his head. And mark it , Maan did not expect or demand of her at any time to forgive dev for his or his family's sake.

I do not think that her adamancy at this time can be justified in anyway

Brilliant Post Eva 🤗🤗🤗. I said in the Den too, there is a reason behind her stubbornness and I just hope, dialogue writer provides the reason beautifully in the coming episode. 😊

Well Delhigirl thank you for your input. Every one is entitle to their opinion and I respect yours..

But we also have to see that Maan is here and has realzed that he has hurt her too much and he will only placate her because he is the reason for her sadness.

She was lifeless but her family is trying to cheer her up and she is just being nice to her family and going out but she does not want to go by herself and enjoy...

Yes I do hope that they will show the reasons of Maan's volcanic anger and Geet's adamancy and them to understand the reason behind this incidents in their life as in future they will give space and opportunity to each other.

her family has done nothing to cheer her up. That family who treats their DIL like a servant, what can they give to anyone. tej and lucky live in their own world and beeji is on her own ego trip. Daarji, god knows why he came. And as usual did nothing for her. If geet is being entertained then it is at the expense of her own husband.

at this time the only person who is hurting anyone is geet and she continues to hurt maan. If maan hurt her once by that one word, she hurts him again and again by the same line that she utters in every episode.

I believe that a person closest to your heart has a capacity to make you or break you. He/she has the capacity to hurt you with single word or just little smirk. and other people may tell you big thing would not affect you that much then the person who loves you the most.

Her this family has given her shelter and are mindful of her need and are taking care of her. They brouhgt her in when she was wandering lifeless and aimless..

Yes I would agree with you that they treat their DIL in such a way and I do not agree with those treatments but when the time comes I have seen Tejveerji listens to Pammi and bring her in the bedroom to tell whatever he wanted to tell her instead of scolding her in front of all. So in their own orthodox way they do keep her honor...

Geet is asking Maan to go away.. She tells him all the time that she cannot see him being insulted and he should go as she is not forgiving him as her hurt is too deep to be erased so soon because it is Maan who has wounded her. Maan himself understands the extent of that hurt and that is why he is ready to go to any length to wash and erase that hurt to bring his mishti back from the pit of that hurt and sadness...

I love your detailed version on why geet is adamant....i know when we look at the situation then it has two sides.....delhigirl....you are right on your side as well....geet is hurt and lifeless....but she cant give the silence treatment to MAAN....i know he gave her the reason to live....he himself became her will to live....when the person who gives you life and hurts you the most.....it becomes so difficult....you are happy as you are a corpse and you are doing things for the family and their happiness....you do not want them to be sad by seeing the pain that you have....so live for others by being lifeless...MAAN is sorry....he only realised due to dev otherwise when he went to his room and saw the cupboard to be empty....he still did not have that guilt or sadness...he did not realize that his Geet would leave him like this....his anger became his ego.....that time he was still angry....only dev put his mind and heart in senses.....Now he is trying to win her back by getting ill treatment....he knows his geet won't be able to see him in pain....but he does not realize that this is not the way to get her back....taking insults as servant is nothing....those words by MAAN are echoing in her ears, heart and mind....it is a mark which won't be erased that easily.....

Great Post Eva!

At the fact that she is normally shopping around,etc..

I said this before: the reason she's had a little more will to get up in the morning .. is all because of Maan.. before she knew Maan had come as Balwant she was neglecting anything and everything .. starting with her health.

But ever since Maan came back in her life to be with her .. she has gotten some strength to move about. She knows that if she doesn't take care of herself... Maan will again risk to be at her side to make her take medications, etc .. while in his disguise.

And she doesn't want to take the chance of having him caught.

Anyway, I agree with your post .. I just need to see the CVs enact this better and show more of Geet's self-thought processes .. they should focus on that more ... we have seen her in her lifeless state till now .. we have seen her in her depressed state .. and now that she has some strength to be able to think .. I'd like to see more of Geet's thoughts and her feelings..

And one more thing I'd like to add: It is a fact that till date ever since Geet found out about Maan being Balwant: we have NOT seen Maaneet touch on the real issue here -- which occured on Holi .. we have seen Geet's depression/anger .. and we have seen Maan's repentance ... (and to add here .. WE have seen Maan's full road to repentance .. GEET hasn't .. she hasn't been able to see exactly what he's been through since the day she left) but we have not seen Maaneet getting the chance to sit down and talk abou the real issue they're facing.

First night after she found out: She was in a depressed/angry state.. and not much happened other than Maan claiming that he will find the old Geet back ..

Second night they had run around the house trying to hide from the family .. and didn't get much conversation in ... just that Maan cares for Geet and that he doesn't want to see her not taking care of herself .. and again we saw him saying "I knew you still love me like before"

Third night .. we didn't get to see many thought processes for Geet hence the dejected episodes and flow which left us confused ..

And now the fourth day in which we see MSK being yelled at .. while Geet thinks he is boiling inside because of Beeji and not leaving while MSK says he doesn't care how much they yell at him (as afterall he is their driver) but he just wants to get Geet back .. and he feels she is being ziddi ..

And till now .. we have seen no proper Maaneet conversation about the REAL ISSUE...

This is where CVs are a little slow .. in bringing out the real matter right away .. perhaps because they want to save it for a better time .. when after the Akhada fight she misses him and feels she should talk it out with him finally...

And this is why I don't blame Geet for her actions and reactions to everything happening to MSK...

So as we can see .. Maaneet know they love each other as do we .. but that's not the real case here ...

And they need to sit down and be able to talk and let out their feelings of what had been going in their minds ever since the MC .. and how they drifted apart after that ..
