@Polly - At least the HP family was consistent in its behaviour. It treated all women, daughters or DILs in the same way. 😆 That family would have immediately sent a daughter back if she left her husband's house. Not acceptable, but consistent.

From what I have read, it seems this family is quite concerned about Geet, but they treat their DIL like that. Apart from being wrong, it's even hypocritical.

Khair. I guess I will not be able to digest this heavy drama, in the name of fresh track or moving the story forward. I guess once the comedy element comes (if it ever does), I will watch Maneet scenes on youtube!

Actually Sharmishtha, I do not find that hypocritical at all...its actually the sad truth,....daughters of the house do get special treatment as against the DILs....its a very very very common occurance in any Indian joint family set-up...Call it hypocrisy or call it what you will..but its very real behaviour- I do not think its been conjured only for the show!

There are parents who will send their daughters back to her family...there are parents-who are affluent enough- who will support their daughters and keep them at home till the problem is resolved.

@ Mishth u kinda right HP family was consistant with their behavior,,,,,, in here its showing biased character, caring the daugther but not DIL,,,,,, and this kind of behavior exist all kind of family rural/ urban does not matter..... so sad that this situation will not never change,,,,,
