There are love stories where lovers can die for each other's happiness(Epics like Romeo Juliet and Heer Ranjha)....Then there are love stories where lovers can sacrifice for each other's happiness(Serial Epics Kahin toh Hoga and Kaisa yeh Pyaar hai)..then there are love stories where lovers can fight for each other's happiness(Film Epics like Jodha Akbar and Gadar:Ek prem Katha)...

And then comes a love story where It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end and all that the lovers want is to simply live for each other's happiness till eternity whether they r together or separate but they continue to live just for each other😳...and This defines Maan-Geet's Love story😳..

Today our Maaneet and GHSP successfully completes their journey of one year👏👏👏👏👏👏👏...Congratulations to the whole team of GHSP especially to 4Lions,Nissar ,GC, DD, Baary,MaanSingh ,Noel,Swati,Pawandeep,Neeshi,Gul and Mahesh for giving us the magical pair of Maan and Geet whose magic is still working on us and noone can deny the fact that Maaneet in same frame still makes us go Awwwww or OMG even after 1 year😳👏👏👏👏

What makes Maan and Geet's relationship unique from the rest ?🤔..Answer is Nothing and Everything😳...Nothing becuase they never claimed to be different from the rest..they never claimed to make their relationship Epic..they made promises but as humans they went on to even break those promises...And Everything because they have nothing to loose and they have always learnt from their mistakes..they both started out their journey following their traumatic past from where they can only rise and shine in love...they consider their love as strength and not a weakness😊

Maan and Geet's Journey started from Hoshiyarpur where they both met in water which is a symbol of purity;Water and Taveez have always bonded them together in a relationship which was not out of any pressure or gratitude but it was simply destiny's call...😳...

Maaneet relationship cannot be defined as simply love because people normally fall in love at the beginning of their life's real journey...but here Maaneet have already fallen in their life when they met each other;This is one rare love story which started out when disaster had stuck both their lives;Geet was fighting with her own family for her unborn child's right to live while Maan was a wounded tiger who was unable to come out from the scratches of his unknown past;They already had tasted the bitter experience of falling in love and then getting only betrayal in return😭;Thats one reason they have never defined their relationship as simply "Love";For them it was "Anjana Ehsaas" in the start because of the strong connection and emotional attachment that they used to feel for each other right from HP to early Delhi office days..Later it went onto become a "Passionate Journey of desire and need" in the middle stages(From the Kurban Hua till the JA moment) when they discovered the real essense of Need and desire for each other😳 and Slowly the "Realisation of a Divine bond" between them creeped into their hearts when they started craving for each other😳;The "Final realisation of love" came in when they realised the value of each other in their lives..We saw Geet's realisation in the form of divine intervention in Maula mere sequence😳 and Maan's realisation in the form of energy,aggression and passion that he executes from his Tai-Chi exercising😛;

Normally in a love story,lovers experience troubles and trauma after they fall in love;Here Maan and Geet have already experienced those hurdles in their life but once they found/discovered each other,they get to learn a new meaning of life once they decide to submit themselves to their feelings for each other😳;Maan comes out of his attic room past and converts himself from Dusht-Danav to a man who wants to dream..who wants to smile..who wants to live and enjoy his life;Whereas Geet comes out from her traumatic past of betrayal and converts herself from a shy-conservative girl of HP to a much more strong,determined and bold girl of today who knows how to fight for her rights and stand strong in the society and take decisions on her own....So where most couples falter after falling in love,Maaneet have become stronger after rising in love😊

Maan-Geet's relationship eventually culminated into a blissfull marriage where two souls became one forever😳😳..They r yet to consummate their marriage but the day is not very far now😍😉😆

Every Marriage goes through ups and downs and right now post-MC even Maan and Geet's marriage is going through some troubled times but they hv always fought with their destiny and hv come out victorious in the end😎

Today on this day of their first Anniversary once again Maan and Geet will meet each other to start their new fresh journey and as loyal fans of this show,its our duty to cheer up for our Maaneet today and hope that soon we see some happy ,romantic and passionate Maaneet moments ahead☺️

Our Devils Den too hv come a long way right from the time Bugsy started it and then we all devils together continued the trend and today Devils den along with the show is one of the most popular threads in the whole of IF and Geet Forum of course...Credit goes to all the Devils ,Geet forum Members and our unity⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️....Hopefully we will all continue to rock in the coming months as well😳😳

There r very rare serials made in Tellyland which gives importance to symbolisms and GHSP is one such rare show where most of the scenes,or dialgoues or situations hv symbolisms filled in them😳..

Today when our beloved sohw is completing its 1st Anniversary,lets take a look at some of the best symbolisms ever shown in this serial😳

1)Name Symbolism:Maan Ki Geet:Maan means respect and thats what he gives to Geet today..giving her new identity and respect in society😳;Geet means song and thats what she gave to MSK today..filling his life with songs of love,life and happiness😳...

2)Dupatta Symbolism:Dupatta is suppose to cover a girl's izzat and thats what MSK does everytime the dupatta comes in MSK's hand😳...Right from HP days till now Geet's dupatta always lands up in MSK's hand/..thats Babaji's way of telling Geet who is her saviour and soulmate in this lifetime😳

3)Dialogue and Scene Loop Symbolism:Whenever a dialogue loop is opened in one episode,CVs make sure its closed in some other episode...for example MSK initially saying "yeh ladki mujhe paagal kar degi" and then later MSK in hospital lift admitting "tumne mujhe paagal kar diya hai"😳....Then MSK in HP saying "tum meri aadat ban chuki ho" and then later after khoon bhari maang fiasco MSK admitting "tum sirf meri aadat nahin par ab zaroorat bhi ban chuki ho"😳;Similarly even scene loops r closed many times in the episode..like lets take some of the scene-loop examples...MSK during fake engagement confession scene asks Geet whether she is waiting for a sapno ka rajkumar who will come in white horse for her and during marriage we actually saw MSK taking his Dulhaniya Geet to the house on a safed ghori dressed like a rajkumar😳; Then once in the Attic room MSK confessed to Geet that he hates his childhood cycle since he fell from it but today the same MSK is shown riding a cycle for his Geet😳; Then during IP separation track,after the slap fiasco,MSK wanted to go away from Geet's life thinking his ill-fate can never give happiness to Geet but its Geet who gives him the motivation and make him realsie that she is incomplete without his presence in her life😳 and today when Geet feels that her ill-fate can never give happiness to MSK and so she leaves his house,its MSK who has come all the way to Amritsar to manaofy her and mayb make her realise that even he is incomplete without her presense in his life😳...

4)Water Symbolism:Water has always played a cruicial part in Maaneet love saga...they met in water....they both first hugged each other passionately in water...and who can forget the fountain scene where Geet saw the reflection of her man in water and realised his worth in her life😳.,.Water is the divine connection in their relationship along with taaveez of course😳..

5)Taaveez Symbolism:Right from starting episode till now Taaveez has been the divine connection between Maaneet which has always made them realise that they r incomplete without each other😳;Taveez has always brought them together and made them discover their importance/significance in each other's lives😳...

6)Colour Symbolism:Colours of Maan and Geet's dress hv always played an interesting part in their story😳;Whenever Geet comes in Green,MSK and Geet hv ended up fighting with each other whether its the scene when Geet comes in Delhi office for the first time or the scene when Geet tells her past truth and goes to the railway station or the scene before their break-up or the scene where MSK makes the promise of not touching her before marriage;But again Green colour has always defined their relationship in a strong manner because after every fight they hv come more closer like the current scene in Amritsar where they will finally meet today and Geet is once again in green😳;Whenever Geet or MSK wears white ,it has defined the purity of their relationship and whenever they wore red,we see more passion coming😉 but a combination of Geet in white and MSK in black has given us epics like Kurbaan hua depicting wild desire😈...So these different colours hv actually helped Maaneet's relationship to prosper with every passing day😳

7)Saree Symbolism:Whenever Geet is seen in a saree it has given her pain and hurt😭 but MSK always came to her rescue eventually😳..whether its the Kurbaan hua dance or the fake engagement proposal or the pee loon scenario or the maula mere sequence or the mahii mahii dance...😳

8)Dove symbolism:Dove has always brought certain realisation in Maaneet's life...Geet for the first time realising her attraction for MSK physically in the JA scene where we saw Doves flying around MSK when he was practicisng his Tai-Chi😉😛;Same doves were present in the attic room as well where Geet saw the smiling picture of MSK and realised that MSK too might hv a past;Doves always brings happiness and purity around but sometimes it can also make u realise in which direction your life will lead to in the coming future..in short it does show u the direction of your life 😳

9)Hug Symbolism:I hv noticed that Maan-Geet hv given us different types of hugs depending on the situation..behne de or wheres the party tonight hug defined passion but the hospital hug defined longingness for each other😳 ;Then the storeroom hug when Geet fainted defined how MSK is caring and protective towards his Geet😳;Confession hug was out of respect and purity😳...and whenever they reunite we get to see a hug filled with passion,desire,emotions and respect😳

10)Song and Dance Symbolism:DD on SBS has rightly said that Maaneet r a musical couple😆😳;They depict their emotions, feelings, desires, anger, passion and everything through song and dance whether its the

Kurban hua moment(wild desire and submission) or

Hum tum moment(passion and lust) or

Behne de moment(passion and realisation of love) or

Teri deewani moment(realisation of pure and divine love) or

Kehna hee kya moment(physical desire) or

Wheres the party tonight moment(jealousy and passion) or

Kuch toh hua hai(innocent realisation of falling in love) or

I loved today's Episode because it had right blend of drama,flow and story movement where one can feel the pain for both the characters as their inner dilemma comes out very clearly in the first scene itself👍🏼

Aww Geet is really hurt and one can clearly see the pain in her eyes when MSK touches her cheeks or pulls her towards him😭😭😭..because she has forgiven her biggest culprit Dev for the sake of her husband's happiness but her own husband calls her begairat for it...thats her biggest hurt😭

Earlier her own family tried to kill her in the name of honour and self-respect...she walked out on them and found MSK as her saviour who always told her that she is a woman with pride and self-respect and will always remain pavitra(pure) for him since she is the definition of purity(Tent date episode)😳....but months later the same guy MSK accuses her of hving no self-respect(begairat)...thats where it hits her hard and her life comes to a full circle because she heard same dialogues previously from her own family as well...and so she walks out of the house once again.......mayb for us begairat is not a very big word but for Geet its a very big word because her whole life revolved around this word when her own family tried to kill her in the name of honour and self-respect😭😭........

I remember the importance of that pavitrata dialogue that MSK told Geet in tent date scene....so when MSK contradicts the same with begairat and safed khoon dialogues...automatically the question raises in Geet's mind whether MSK really said it in anger or somewhere it was always there in his heart because many times in anger a person ends up blurting out whats there in his heart ..and thats why we see Geet raising this question to MSK today...😊

One word spoken by MSK has pierced her heart...its the word "Begairat"....this word has its own history..she heard similar things from her family as well who were ready to kill others in the name of self-respect and honour....but hearing it... from MSK's mouth is something which she is not able to forget and its hurting her more because she loves MSK more than her own life...if that word would hv come out from some other person's mouth,she would not hv even bothered to take any offense...but coming out from MSK's mouth is what is hurting her more and so she is not able to forgive or forget it....People question why Dev was forgiven and why not MSK...Answer is simple...u can easily forgive someone who hardly matters in your life..but u take years to forgive the ones who r more close to your heart but still ends up hurting u😭....and on top of that MSK actually uses a third person Dev to convey the message to Geet that she is a woman with no self-respect and white blood..see the sentence what MSK used there..he told Dev "if my wife is a woman with no self-respect/honour and is hving white blood..its not my problem"....now just imagine yourself in such situation where u see your own husband telling something like this to his brother or his mother "that u know my wife is begairat and is shameless"....your instant reaction will b "u r badmouthing your own wife in front of your relatives...how dare u"..this is what u will tell to your husband ..right or wrong ?😊...Here Geet respects MSK so much that instead of questioning him or accusing him in return,she quietly leaves the house in complete depression...and mayb thats why for viewers she becomes heartless🤔...In short no wife will tolerate her husband humiliating her in front of his brother or mother-in-law using terms like begairat or safed khoon....if the same fight would hv happened in their bedroom in a more private space,I myself would hv questioned that why Geet quietly leaves the house without questioning MSK about those words....but the fight happened in front of a third person named Dev...and thats the reason why its hurting her more....Even on holi day before this whole hungama,Geet did try to tell MSK about why she has forgiven Dev ..but MSK never bothered to listen to her ....Mayb Geet was wrong in playing holi with her culprit...I m not denying it...but that does not give the licence to a husband to humiliate his wife in front of his brother using such type of words...

So today if Geet is not able to forgive or forget those words of MSK ..its because in her entire life,she has loved and respected him the most...and unfortunately she got the pain coming from the same man whom she loved the most in her life..and thats where she is finding it difficult to forgive or forget everything😭....she could forgive or forget her culprit becuase he never mattered in her current life..he was like a dirt whom Geet got rid of in the name of forgiveness...but MSK means the world to her...he was God for her...and when her God tells her that she is a woman with no self-respect or pride....she feels completely defeated from inside...She is in pain and she needs love and assurence from the same man again...MSK understood this ...thats why he was ready to walk on hot coal for his Geet hoping that mayb this way he can share a bit of her pain😳...so when MSK himself understood his Geet's inner dillemma and pain...how can viewers not understand it ?😕....If she is asking MSK to go from there and trying to hide herself behind the walls of her new family,its because whenever she sees MSK ,she starts remembering that black-holi day and those words coming from his mouth is piercing her heart but she wants to only remember those good memories of her MSK and thats why she wants to stay away from him with a fear that those bad memories of holi day might cast a shadow on those good old memories that she had with her Maan😭...Now Who is going to take her out from this shadow of pain and depression...Only MSK can do this...and MSK knows it now ..thats why he went to the dargah to ask for strength as well as punishment...so if MSK understood Geet's POV...why can't we viewers too realise it ?🤔

MSK will hv to prove to Geet that he said it in anger but he never really meant it...earlier too he said many things in anger and we hv seen Geet never taking them to heart but this time the question was raised on her self-respect and pride and honour which indirectly also questions her same pavitrata as well😊...But I m sure MSK will manaofy his Geet soon😳.....She is hurt and is in depression....she needs love which soon MSK will fill in her life😳😳

About MSK punishing himself by walking on that hot coal might look OTT...but well thats how he is ...very extreme and can go to any limits if he wishes...Everytime he hurts Geet, we hv seen that he hurts himself as well through his Tai-Chi sessions..remember the wood-chi after pee-loo sequence or the ice-chi after IP-Slap fiasco😉...this time in Amritsar he cannot do his Tai-chis or Hoo-haa na😆...so he hurts himself by doing Coal-Chi🤣🤣🤣🤣...But in this process both Maan and Geet r hurting themselves because they r not together😭...Lets not forget even Geet's feet is bleeding there😭....So its an indication that they can heal their wouunds and pain only when they come together and complete each other😳.....They r each other's biggest strength when they both r together...

I guess from tomorrow the fun roller coaster ride will start when Adi will meet MSK and both together will plan out something to enter the Dragons Club😆..I mean Biji's house as the Driver😎...

New track is shaping up well....So CVs keep up the good work...👏👏

Episode Rating:9/10...I dunno about others but I really enjoyed the episode today right from start till the end scene😳...its actually pleasing to your eyes not only to see Maaneet in same frame together😳 but also no AA-Torture for consecutive 5 days in a row😲👏👏...GC and DD both acted very well today👏👏👏👏

Its been a year since GHSP started and to this day I'm still hooked to the show like I've been when I started watching! A special thanks to Gurmeet for giving us our Khoodoos but pyara sa MSK and Drashti for giving us our lovely, bubbly rocking Geet!

Together they gave us Maaneet!

A couple that set a buzz around the television industry as the most popular couple on indian telly and rightfully so! Their popularity speaks volumes!

Congrats for completeing one year!!!

On to the episode:

Loved the episode, great execution!

Rage of fire that burned Geet's heart is
burning himself within and physically too!

Loved how MSK cupped Geet's face in his hand and she missed his touch too, but those words came to haunt her! Words that actually pierced her heart! She told MSK everything today, why she forgave Dev, before she could start a new beginning he ended it all!

Those words then pierced MSK's heart and he is not out to ruin himself!

Geet tells MSK that why would he ask Beeji, its her who has to forgive him, then again why is she allowing her family to make decisions for her, can't she tell them its her life and let me think about it for once!

Worried for her MSK and his safety, yes he is her Maan and no matter what he will be her Maan! She fears fears for his well being! What if MSK doesnt show up and she gets all worried, will she go out looking for her MSK, Im sure she will!

A year it has been since I was introduced to the show...and some weeks later into the Den.

Discussions brought me closer to understanding- the show, various characters and most importantly people who shared similar and dissonant views.

Yes- we made friends here. Over silly discussions that made me laugh out loud in class whenever ordinary words were mentioned. Songs reminded of Maneet and more than that- our friends' crazy comments therein.

There were silly moments when at 2 in the morning, I was ROFL-ing...once LITERALLY..

Seeing Maneet, I found a love story which was not completely fictional...they were as silly and intelligent; as condemned to mortality; as misunderstood as we all are..

They made us laugh, they made us cry; they made us go oooohhh...and they made us go OMG and yet, they made us react all the time.

This is 1 of the few shows in my life, that I have actually stuck to and will continue to because this couple is deep within now..the show, the characters, it's insane how close they are to all of us.

and yet, there's something closer, which we seem to have forgotten- all of us..we met through this forum, through FB and some of us forged very special friendships; we helped each other and soon,t he discussions were not merely pertaining to the show but beyond that- discussions of life.

I learnt a lot through the show and continue to do so..It has made that half an hour of TV-time worthwhile.

As a result- I want someone with Maan's arrogance and scorching eyes...so I can be his Geet.

Someone like Geet who is so loving and caring. Someone like Adi who's well..Adi..need I say more?😆

For Nissar, Noel for giving us symbolisms that we could decipher!

For My darling Barry who gave us dialogues that we use in our lives now..and enlarging our vocab with urdu words..

For the Creatives who brought together their imaginations to create the epic love story

And last but definitely not the least- the actors- Drashti and Gurmeet who have made us go through a myriad emotions by bringing to life the characters of Geet and Maan.

What is there to say about their characters which is new?

All I can say is that I had seen love stories where couples were willing to DIE for love.

but Maneet- though can die for each other- want to LIVE in love.

they have never FALLEN,but RISEN in love.

a relationship between equals, where the girl is not an object but an active participant; the man is not GOD( though it's a much-tried attempt) but a human being with his weaknesses and who deserves to be shaken and slapped as well as kissed and hugged.

a mood upliftment as well as a message of hope to those who had lost their hope in love- Maan and Geet definitely is a story to remember.

I wish everyone at least a year or two more of great love, humour, and intelligent as well as silly discussions that brought us together in the first place through Geet hui Sabse Parayi

EPI ANALYSIS

What an epi! *clap clap*

SOme excellent thoughts that came to my mind.

1. The name jugnu is such a cute one!! haha...jugnu is a firefly- and mama's memory is like that too...flickering-coming and going...LOL

2. Fire and Glass

The fire of maan's anger burnt Geet- their love as well as she said.

So pain is the only thing left for maan to stay connected right now.

And he uses the same medium- FIRE as a purifying and annealing force- HOT coals, walking through the test of fire to purify himself of the hurt he caused her.

Geet cuts herself with glass.

While MAAN had scorched GEET, MAan's pic ka sheesha had broken.

Now it's reversed- the connection they sought has been made- They are empathising with each other...

While hurt- she's thinking only of Maan and that Maan should be taken care of by Babaji.

GEET's dialogues in the market were brilliant- 1 touch and she thawed.

1 question and he froze.

Did you really say those words in anger?

1 question that brought forth all her pain.

The basis of their love was her saadgi and her purity- MAAN had told her that in the confession scene. AND what he said was an eruption of his feelings, those he was too afraid to even think- and yet they came out that day...and all of that foundation was broken...

So now with that burnt and broken foundation, they will form a strong one..once more, surviving and once more.. WATER needs to be there as a nourishing source!

I LOVED the dialogues today- I'm glad MAAN knows the extent of damage he's done and that Geet is so hurt and numb..

She thawed with a touch...and now she will speak..now she will think..

Both love and pain..and the pain overweighs the love

LIKE when we ride a bike..learn too..we make mistakes- I want geet to chastise maan on the hurt he will have received by walking on hot coals- like Maan should chastise Geet for hurting herself..but every time we fall from a cycle, we get up ,and try again.

THIS is what msk is doing..his first attempt was today :P

BTW- the epi was really really good except the tree scene- didn't like it much cuz it was OTT..NOW his anger is at himself..and THAT will bring GEET out of her scorched soul and in healing him...she'll heal himself..in the process of giving and receiving love- they will mend the photograph, they will mend their lives and make is almost 'new'..but this time with realizations and a stronger foundation!

Poor poor adi..awww and Dev doesn't even ask Adi to take care.hmph..

Congratulations to the entire Geet team for the completion of one year! The team has done an absolutely wonderful job in portraying one of the best love stories I have heard. Geet HSP has given me some really great times with a lot of great friends. I made some really good friends here because of the show and I thank the Geet team for that. I learned a lot from the whole Geet HSP experience. We, the devils of the Devil's Den spent many days and nights discussing, making fun, arguing, rolling, and much more because of Geet.

Maan and Geet are THE BEST couple on Indian TV. There isn't another that can surpass their chemistry. When they are on screen they light it on fire. I saw some awesome passionate, romantic, sad, happy, funny and angry scenes between them, most of them very memorable. Gurmeet and Drashti is irreplaceable as Maan and Geet. They have done an outstanding job! Thank you both for being such brilliant actors.

All the characters in Geet are lovable in their own way. Yes, even Naintara and Brij for their sheer brilliance in being evil. Characters like Adi, Pinky, and Romeo are so hilarious and adorable. Maanisha, who you just have to love for his happy attitude towards the world 😉. Then there is Dev, who we just love to hate. Of course we can't forget Daadi the swing pendulum, our love for her swings as well. Sasha and Tasha, I miss, despite how evil they were. Now we have some new entries that have proven well!

The show has had it's ups and downs but remains at the top for me! Good luck to the entire team. Hopefully we will continue to get some more awesome episodes!

Analysis

Episode was good! Loved seeing Maan and Geet in the same frame again.
I have written too many times on why Geet can't forgive Maan and how they both are to blame for their predicament. Maan takes Geet for granted and expects Geet to forgive him every time he says something out of anger...so Geet was right in leaving the house. Why is Geet so offended with the "begairat" line? I said it before, because Maan accused her of the same things her family tried to kill her over. She did not expect that from him. She needed his support. She says she won't forgive him, but time heals all wounds...and eventually she will know she cannot live without him. She knows it now too, but this is about her self-respect, the same thing that Maan said she did not have. Had they both had better communication skills they would not be in this situation, but they are and they need to learn from it. They both have something to prove here.

Relationships go through many ups and downs...That is just life. It is better to just wait and watch. A show needs some twist and turns to keep it going...This is one of those, but at the end of the day we know Maan and Geet will always belong with each other.

The episode was highly dramatic with hints of comedy. Even the dialogues were pretty dramatic. I liked it. I think Maan Singh Chadda's martyr act was a bit over the top though. A bit too filmy in my opinion. But he's always been a Drama Queen so I guess I understand why he did it. 🤣 🤣 🤣 Anyways, Maan Singh Khurana has always been intense and even his actions have proven to be so. He wants to show how sorry he is for what he did to Geet and that is sweet. But please CV's...lets not make Maan Singh Khurana become Devdas and go look for a Chandramukhi...That would be too much for us to digest. 🤣 🤣 🤣
Anyways, I am excited to See Maan Sardar Khurana!

I am using this quote in my congratulatory note to the CV's for 2 main reasons (This is meant in good humor)

1. I could not think of a more appropriate quote to match what the CV's probably have in mind while giving us episodes of late. They seem to forget everything about the theme, characterization, why there is a certain emotion or reaction by a character, etc for later and just give us episodes where pretty much everything is left to our imagination 😆

2. The more imporatnt reason is that optimistic as we are we devils always find the positives and loop closures and symbolisms and eventually make anything that we see seem worth it. 😳

The year that wasn't

It is impossible to believe that an year has just gone by. And today I have this extreme urge to walk down memory lane and relive the highs of the one show that has held my attention for the longest span. I am not one who likes to watch TV soaps and have a very select few that I do, most of them English action sorts. People who know me well would think 10 times before putting me in any bracket even close to romantic let alone that one. But yet, today, I am jotting down symbolisms in episodes, writing rhymes, analyzing the romance quotient between people, I am forced to ask myself, who am I and what changed?

To be honest I have not watched this show from the beginning. I am not into Hindi movies or songs or anything but one day my sister suggested that I listen to the song Kurbaan Hua because it is (in her words) awesome and splendid. I started looking for the song without a sense of who it was picturized on, and guess what? I landed up seeing the Maaneet one on YouTube. I remember asking my sister who those new starts were and if it was their first movie together and she was zapped. She told me Kurbaan hua was picturized on Saif and Kareena. Well, what can I say, I had caught the better version.

Out of sheer curiosity I caught up on some scenes posted on Youtube of this awesome couple whose names even I did not know then. And I just couldn't stop. I was hooked on to it to such an extent that I probably caught up with all of the Maaneet's scenes in about 2-3 weeks which is something worthy of mention atleast in my case. And it felt like even this wasn't enough. I had to watch more. I had to talk about it to someone. And it was then that I visited the den.

The den has been one place I can call my third home. Since the day I started visiting the den, I cannot think of one day that I have not come here. And the number of friends I have here with whom I can chat up and share my opinions and views is overwhelming. It is not often that you find likeminded people and to find so many in one place is a miracle. I simply love and enjoy the time I spend with all here.

I don't know if I should be thankful to Maaneet for it was them who got me so many friends, or if I should be glad that all my friends in the den make watching Maaneet worthwhile even when they go through rough patches. I suppose both. But this year has made me identify myself with a part of me which I didn't even know existed, one that I like much. And I am thankful to all of you, team GHSP, Maaneet, and mostly denzians for introducing me to my creative side (well, itz a long way to go but I am atleast on that path now)

Post facto - An attempt to spread positivity

War shur ho gaya kya? I know a lot of us will be very disappointed that Geet refused to forgive Maan and is still holding it against him for all the hurtful words he spoke. We will have many people speculating about magnifying her actions which will lead to a war of words and unwanted unpleasantness. Here is something I am jotting down to try and avoid that situation in the proximity of our den. Although healthy discussions are always welcome, it will be good to look at things from both perspectives and understand why each one did what they did. Today is a day for celebration and I honestly wish all devils have a smile on their face today.

I for one wanted Geet to forgive Maan the minute he apologized to her because I expected that Geet knew how much he cared for her and know that everything he said was in pure anger. It was never my intention to out down Geet for the way she reacted, but just my expectation of what should have happened. But once I started reading some posts of harsh Geet bashing, I started contemplating about her actions again and wondered what I would do if I were her. Frankly, my expectations from her changed slightly.

I have started from the beginning of this separation track that both Maan and Geet were at fault and both need to realize this and sort out the problem effectively. However, even in this track we see Maan trying his best to patch up but Geet still hurt and unwilling to give him a chance. Here are some answers which may make things better -

Why was Maan right in being angry?

It is my believe that forgiving Dev was never a decision for just Geet to make. Maan's anger and hatred towards Dev stemmed and intensified because of his love for Geet. He has had a tremendous journey himself between having a brother and not having one. He fought against the family that he loved to get justice for the girl that he loved. And today, everyone else is acting normal while he is the one who is still fighting? I believe it was wrong of Geet to have made that decision on her own, irrespective of her reasons.

Why is Geet right in her anger?

Geet has been let down my pretty much everyone in her life, her daarji, her father, her brother, the man she thought to be her husband, her mother everyone. despite all the ill fate, she decided to give life another chance and tried to find happiness. She found it in abundance in the form of Love, a love which brother back pretty much everything she had lost in life. But just when she was beginning to enjoy it, the one she loved questioned her lineage and her judgment. Why is she wrong in being angry? The point to note here is that she believed that she had to forgive Dev and move on for the sake of Maan. And Maan himself also wanted to move on in life. So why expect her to be reasonable here?

What is Maan's justification for his actions?

Maan is an angry young man. He always reacts before he thinks and that is his biggest weakness. In this situation, his taunting words were never intended or directed towards Geet and he only wanted to hurt Dev. And even in what he said, he was never conclusive in his statement. His usage of words "Agar uski khoon mein woh gairat nahi hai, agar usme safeed khoon daudta hai, toh isme mein kuch nahi karsakta" is to be noted. And as an aftermath, all of us know that he said what he did in anger and certainly meant none of it. He knows that Geet means everything to him and it is impossible for him to survive without her. And he is walking the path of guilt and penance now.

What could be Geet's justification for continuing to be angry?

How many times do you give life a chance? Geet has lived through some very terrible moments and has always tried to look past it. Every soul that she trusted let her down and she has alaing tried to trust someone else. But for how long? We have argued that Maan has said many hurtful thinghs to Geet even before. But Geet always went back to him. So isn't it proof enough that she has given Maan many chances already?

Also, just a few days ago when Maan found out about Dev donating blood to him, he shouted at Geet unreasonably for which Geet was very angry with him. Even then he promised her that he will not act that way again. And yet again, in a matter of few days he broke his promise. So why should she forgive him now especially when he hurt her so bad yet again?

Maan and Geet are justified in their actions and no one is right or wrong. The situation is currently tense and both of them have had to deal with a lot lately. Let us cut both of them some slack. We all know that this entire track was introduced to bring Maaneet together along with extreme passion and all of it will happen. Maaneet will always be together and even this time, they will make up.

The most important thing to note is that their relationship has come a total round in the last one year. It started in a small town, with Maan being the arrogant and mean one and Geet seeking his help willingly or unwillingly. This was followed by Geet moving to Delhi and working for Maan. Then Maan fell in love with Geet. He made Geet realize her love for him. OMG, who can forget all this passionate moments? Despite their misunderstandings and fights, they got married. Now they are back to a small town, with a role reversal, now Geet is mad at Maan and he is trying to win her attention. Does this new year promise any less passion, I don't think so ☺️

Episode Analysis

Well, I have written too much Ramayan today and won't take much of your time again. Most of us had anticipated what was to happen when Maaneet met this time around and it did not come as a surprise. As they say, you reap what you sow. This time around Maan's mistake is a pretty huge one and he has not done a lot of physical work in a long time. So, let us encourage him to sweat it out a bit.

Geet was good in her talk today. She made it very clear to Maan why she was upset with her. More than anger, she is hurt by his words. She is not even sure if he said it just in anger or if he really meant it. Words one spoken can never be taken back. Maan is learning it the hard way. No worries, we all know the end result. She was however concerned enough to drag away her uncle before he said anything to Maan and also warned Maan about her family's anger towards him.

Lucky and Adi will be the talk of Tinseltown. They are the comedians in this track and at-least like the initial office track, we enjoy them. I have no complaints.

Maan and Geet may say anything to each other but in the end, they belong to each other and no one. To the extent where they share each other's pain even physical ones even when they are not in front of each other. How can their love fail?

We are all in for huge treats in the near future and I cannot wait to watch it all unfold.

Time goes so fast . Seems like it was only yesterday when i watched Geet's first episode . In the past one year I have made lots of Sweet memories related to Geet, Related to Geet Forum and our this sweet place Den . I will never ever forget those and that time . I have made lots of great frnds here bcz of Geet .

It was really a beautiful journey . I fall in love with Maneet at very first sight . then My GurTi . Lots of Khatti meethi yaadein .

I really Wish Geet keeps on going like this always .
