Intimate scenes, why not go all the way? edited...

Warning: a PRO kiss topic 😆

I consider the following scenes very intimate, that if i were to watch the show with family then i would change the channel. Many other people i have spoken to have also said that they wouldn't watch such scenes with family becuase even though Maaneet are not touching much, it's still very intimate to watch with your parents or siblings in the room!

So my point is if these intimate romance scenes (which are NOT even bold) won't be watched by familes, then why is there so much restrictions when it comes to kisses.

You might as well go ahead a show a proper kiss scene, and please the crowd that won't change the channel and stay put to watch such scenes !

Why stop there, why couldn't Maaneet go all the way and just kiss?

What's the point of getting this close, if you're not gonna kiss ?

The point i am trying to make is that the scenes shown today would not be watched by familes (because they were intimate) neither would kiss scenes (becuase they are also very intimate), so if that's the case, then why not go ahead and just show the kiss scenes?

Would love to hear other's opinions on this controversial topic 😆

I know rightt...honestly I don't see why the censor board won't allow it! Bollywood has begun showing intimate scenes and kisses nowadays, then why not show it on television? What's the big deal really? Honestly, its the 21st century, and a kiss shared between two people is not a big deal! I don't even consider it intimate to be honest! Regular tv shows have gone above and beyond and yet India's censor board still won't allow a simple kiss to be shown on the small screen? Shocking really...especially when you go on to see how far Bollywood has come in the past 10 years or so

Even with desi parents, we see them hugging all the time, how many times do you see them kissing in front of the 'family'? 😳

@ TM, i agree with your post, but then shouldn't the demand be about less of those scenes where you might have to change channels while being with family (assuming most of these shows come on during family times?) instead of encouraging them to go all the way?

Well i don't have a problem with such scenes, so i don't really feel the need to demand less of those scenes.

I wudnt want a kiss cuz even tho this isn a fam show we still watch it wit our siblings n stuff plus i dun think it is appropriate

I get what you're saying but I just think that its time fir a change...bollywood has revolutionized then why can't the small screen...if it happens once, then yea desi families will be uncomfortable...but if it's shown more often then the audience will begin to adapt

i think you misunderstood me 😆 what i was trying to say was that todays scenes would not have been watched by a whole family as some found it way too intimate, so if the show is going to air intimate scenes, they might as well show proper intimate scenes like those involving kisses. 😊

People have their preferences. Why is not preferring kissing scenes equal to being conservative? Every place has its norms, you don't NEED to change unless your way of thoughts are a harm to the society. And im sure having a preference over the type of stuff one wants to watch on TV has nothing to do with being conservative.

and even if they are uncomfortable, then they can change the channel, like some people did today 😆 and it's only a kiss after all, which isn't very explicit, so although i understand that some people may consider this innappropriate, to me it's the same as kisses on the cheek, nose, neck etc

Well... frankly speaking Geet comes on Starone whose majority viewship is young adults... so yes agree that they could definitely go further when it comes to the intimate scenes... i hate it when they show a near kiss and then.. the two actors are in this near kiss position for so long😕... i feel like screaming... ya aage badho ya dor haton... 😆😆 or kis if not on the lips cheeks are... but do something.. dont stand like a statue... like in the hindi movies...

On a more serious note... most indian films now have quite intimate scenes.. if you look at some of the recent films they have long and detailed kisses/ smooches... love making scenes.. female actors hardly wearing anything... *sometimes without any reason 😆😆* and these movies are watched by the 'family' audiences... in cinema halls... i dont understand then why cant they show some naturally intimate scenes in the TV shows... Another thing to note... the so-called family channel shows... have so many intimate scenes... than why not Geet.. which is a youth based show...

I have alwys loved the chemistry between Maan & Geet.. it feels like there is this constant current flowing between them... as if they are tied to a string.. and when one side is pulled the other feels it instantly... all the 'intimate' and non-intimate scenes with MaanEet together have this underlying current flowing... this wave thtz just under the surface.. wanting to fight it's way to the top.. some more intimacy... and my-oh-my ... there will be a tsunami... which will sweep all of us away with it..😉😆😆
