Oh dear...first of all a tight for your turmoil. I really hope it helps😊
Coming to the topic, I think the show still revolves around Geet. It is about her self-respect, her feelings, her dilemma, her strength, her courage to fight things. And that's what she was doing today as well.
She is merely 18 or 19 years old carrying the fate of a soul who hasn't yet had a chance to breathe. Yet, she does not lose courage and decides to make a secure future for both of them. She bears insults and nagging from people around for her unborn child because she cannot afford to lose the job. She cannot afford to let go of the few people she knows in this unknown city, even though they may not like her that much. And so she takes everything in her stride and learns from her mistakes and manages to make amends.
And then Maan happens! She falls in love with the man who always abused her - verbally and physically. How, when, where, why - she does not know. What she now knows is that she cannot let this man suffer because of her past. By all means she tries to stay away from him. And every time she makes a resolve, he takes a step closer trying to bridge the gap. She knows he too has feelings for her, but she feels she has lost all rights to confess. She is helpless. With what authority will she confess her feelings? Isn't it better to reject him than to gain sympathy by talking about her horrid past. He's done enough for her, more than enough. And she'll always be thankful to him. But why cause him more pain by telling him that she does love him and then walking away? Why give the hope that something can be worked out when she is not ready to make him suffer at all? She's sure he'll jump off his feet to help her even now now - that he'll support her with her child. But why should he suffer for someone else's sin? Is it not better that she faces rejection and then settles with someone who suits him better? At this point she doesn't know of his past so she cannot judge what her rejection means to him.
I agree she may be giving him mixed signals and confusing him even more, but she is human after all and that too just a young girl. He is hell bent on making her confess when he himself hasn't. Yes, he tried and she stopped him. But how can she confess her love for the person who once thought she was a thug and wanted to lure him for his money?
The show still revolves around her and not Maan. Just my thought. 😊
